/PhysicalHealthy, strong legs, a few adult feathers coming in ||MentalCurious, must sniff and peck at everything ||Emotionaleverything is awesomeHas been wandering around the Forest more, though always ends up in near the Crying Idol where she hatched. Now has swift, strong legs and her baby feathers still remain, but some adult feathers are visible near her eyes and on her shoulders. She has also learned to speak from observation, though in small and childish sentences. The Forest Gods blessed her with the ability to learn rather fast. Spent most of the day running around, testing and strengthening her legs. Stopped only to sniff at and/or peck at people, but otherwise did not have any memorable interactions. The forest was rather quiet, today. Entertained herself by running around and enjoying the clippity-clop sound of her own little hooves. Eventually tired herself out and found a flower patch to fall asleep in. Awoke with the pain in her legs gone. She was pleasantly surprised to realize that she could now walk about without plopping down. Excitedly ran and bounced around like she had seen other little ones do. Had her first experience with Forest magic, which confused her at first but she found herself rather awe-stricken and amused by it. Played around a bit with a couple individuals before she unexpectedly passed out due to pushing herself too hard too soon Was born into the world just as the sun was rising. Found herself in a patch of blue flowers by the Crying Idol. Watched the world change and brighten with the morning in pure amazement after her baby-fluff feathers dried and warmed her a bit. She was alone, but did not feel completely so. Looked around where she lay in the grass among flowers, unsure what to do next. Attempted to stand, but couldn't get her legs to hold herself up, so plopped down and gave up for now. Started to feel hungry, so she nibbled at the flowers and grass around her, though she is not a fan of the taste and chewing isn't very easy with no teeth. She eventually spotted a fawn hopping nearby. Curious, the newborn shakily stood and attempted to hop about, herself, though her legs gave way to the impact to the ground and she collapsed, resettling herself back into her flowers. Spent most of the rest of the time responding to calls that echoed through the Forest | // | ||

The sound of the Crying Idol's tears, eternally flowing, accompanied the many soft voices the little one could hear echoing in her sleep as she dreamed of nothing but blurry colors and sounds. Just a moment ago, she had been in a new and bright world full of sharp colors and shapes; some moving and others completely still until the wind kissed them. Now, there was darkness again, just as before...
But suddenly, the other noises were back-- the Forest noises-- and the sharp colors and shapes returned. The hatchling awoke from her slumber; her jaws parting to release an instinctive yawn, and a small ear gave a twitch to rid herself of the brief tickle she felt , there. She frowned, suddenly realizing there was a faint soreness in her legs from her earlier fail-attempts at walking. She shifted uncomfortably, soon rolling onto her side and letting out a huff. As if on cue, her belly began to growl at her just as it had done earlier that day. Her first day in the Forest was dominated by that growl, and the pains that began to accompany it. She hadn't minded it too much at first, as she had been too awe-stricken by her new surroundings to mind. Now, it was agitating her to tears. Her eyes glistened, and a soft whimper escaped her lips; a chick-like whistle escaping her nostrils. She sniffed at the orange flowers that accompanied her, nibbling at one of them.
After a brief struggle, the hatchling managed to take the blossom into her mouth and smack it against her gums before attempting to swallow. Suddenly, she was unpleasantly surprised when she felt a sticking to the back of her throat, realizing that the flower was refusing to go down. Her jaws parted wide, she hacked and coughed. Chirping in a panic, she looked behind her towards the sliver of water that the Idol was spilling its tears into. There was no other way; she had to try again with her legs. She felt a calling to the water, and her esophagus was growing sore from her choking. With adrenaline now rushing through her body, the tiny hatchling shoved herself up onto her weary legs, and she scrambled towards the Idol's tears, attempting to stretch out her neck to catch the falling water. Alas, just as she was sure she could reach it, a heavy force pushed her downwards. Water surrounded her instantly, and a loud splash filled her ears; the falling tears hissed all around her, urging a loud bleat from the new child's throat until the water rushed in, cutting her off into an attack of choking. Her legs moved frantically, adding to the chaos of it all. With her heart pounding in her ears, and the water that blurring all other sound, the hatchling managed to scramble away from the falling tears where the water was no longer falling onto her, and she stood in the shallow water, coughing, panting and shaking; too terrified to take another step. Her legs shook violently under the weight of her wet baby-feathers, but something within her refused to let her fall. The falling water behind her was hissing softer now, but she could barely hear it with her heart pounding violently in her chest, and an alien coldness haunting her entire being.
(derpy post, this is how she discovers gravity XD)
Noa had been out of the
He froze as he heard the sound of a wheezing chirp near the crying idol. It was..odd to say the least but it caught his attention. Rushing forward he peered down and saw the young one shivering. He looked about for a parent but saw none. Slowly he slid down and smiled at her, his little quail feather on his head bouncing with his movement. Looking about again he motioned to the top of the ridge and with a bit of help tried pushing her up to the top out of the cold water. It was early spring and water like this would not be good for someone so young. Once up and out he made sure she settled down and began to preen her. While it didn't look like it from first glance, Noa did not have fur, but feathers covering his body. He knew very well how to deal with feathers especially wet ones. (he'd fallen into the lake in the other world enough to learn that lesson.)
(Hope you don't mind that i controlled her a little ;u;)
(Haha I don't mind at all!

Her brain was frozen in time for a long while, and she had almost not noticed she was moved from the waters and back onto dry land. This is where the air flew past her, earning violent shaking from her. She whimpered, unable to stop the world around her from shaking, but there was something there with her now, and a comforting sensation was being put upon her. Instinctively attempting to snuggle close to whatever or whoever was there, the hatchling cooed and raised her head to grant more access to her wet fluff while her, but soon another sensation arose from within her; a bouncy, tickly feeling that rose from her chest and escaped her throat in the form of something new and strange. It was a feeling, yet it was audible: laughter. She giggled as she preening became ticklish, urging her to shake and let droplets fly off of her. This is when she finally took notice of her new company. Her large grey eyes widened in both awe and curiosity as they met with his own. She chirped up to the larger being in acknowledgment., flapping her ears gently at the sides of her skull.
He smiled at her as she
(he is roughly the height of #14 on the size chart)
(Awww! He is a cute little
The boop earned another giggle from the hatching. She acknowledged him with a few more chirps, though returned to cooing as he continued preening her. As her very first physical contact, the hatchling was quite curious about him. She briefly broke her "groom-me-more-please" pose to check him over with her eyes, and she moved her beak-like nose closer to him to take in his scent. The stuff that covered his body was not like that of others from up close; it was more shapely and soft-looking to her, and she couldn't help but become mesmerized by his colors. Leaning her head in, she gently moved the tip of her nose against his feathers, and her lips smacked softly as she attempted to nibble at them.
awwwwwww Now it was his turn
Now it was his turn to giggle. Her little lips attempting to nibble his feathers was a funny sight to the child. He playfully nipped at her head feathers in response before finishing up preening her. There, now she was fluffy and warm and would not get sick! He puffed himself up, proud of this feat. "Noa" he said, his voice small and cute. He'd not been talking much in the other world and so he didn't feel the need to say more than his name. He looked her over, the beak reminding him of Kaye a little though the only word that could come to mind when looking at this little one was "Birdie" he giggled softly.
The little hatchling gasped
The little hatchling gasped softly as she noticed his feathers puff up. It startled her, yet also impressed her. Sticking out her tongue in thought, she shifted slightly before filling her cheeks with air.
"Pohff!" She huffed. Her baby-feathers puffed up all around her, nearly covering her face with their abundance. She squeaked in surprise of her own action before giggling; her feathers relaxing back against her body, or at least as much as they could manage. She felt much more comfortable now, but did not at all feel calm as she had felt earlier; now she was all bubbly and light. It was a feeling so new, but she already enjoyed it quite a bit. Her ears perked at the sound he made; it had a pattern to it.
"Noh..ahh...?" She murmured, curiously.
"Boyd..heee?" she giggled a little, herself. She was unsure what was going on, but there was great amusement in it, nonetheless.
2 cute 4 me

The old one had decided to visit her family today, taking the time to step through that portal and make her way through the woods. She passed the forge, listening for any sounds of activity but the building lay quiet. Eventually she reaches the cabin, speeding up as she got closer, a smile already on her face. She calls out a hello that goes unanswered and the smile slips from her face. Where are they? Lilith peers through the windows, but the inside is dark. There's no one around the back either. She re-traces her steps and this time she sees the note, Achi and Nilo are on a fishing trip. The note doesn't mention Noa. She spins around, ruby eyes surveying the surrounding woods, searching for a trace of the Little Light. She found none.
Her heart starts beating faster. Where is he? She calls out his name, shouting it at the trees as she searches the area again. There's nothing here....nothing. She makes herself stop and think, where could he be? The cabin was empty, only animals scurried around the tracts of wood she'd covered and forge was closed. The lake had been deserted too. Where else could he be? She tries catching his scent but her sense of smell has changed scince she left the forest. There's too many animal tracks to pick out his.....where was he? She thinks back to when she'd first met the egg, back to the forest days and suddenly she knows. He must have found the portal! She prayed he'd found his way back to the forest, prayed that the portal haddn't spat him out somewhere else, somewhere she couldn't find him.
The doe bursts through the portal, skidding through the forest. She calls his name as she leaves the birch and rounds the ruins. The smell of a thousand different creatures assaults her nostrils and the birds scream from the treetops. Her heart's racing now, she can feel it beating in her throat. The old oak is searched but she comes up empty again. In a last ditch effort she races to The Twins, searching through the grass at the statues' base. Noa's not there.... She swivels around, desperately staring at the forest around her. By chance a small spot of blue near the crying idol catches her eye and she calls out, hoping. "NOA!" She's moving before she even gets an answer, galloping down the hill, skirting the pond. The whole time her ears strain for an answer. From this distance she can't see the bundle of damp feathers next to him, in fact she can't make out any details from where she is.

The tiny feahered child cheeped softly as the crown of flowers was placed upon her head, earning a big pleased and almost prideful grin from her. She had seen other fawns wearing such colorful, pretty things on their heads, and now she could do the same! Leaping up onto her still-wobbly legs, and keeping her head slightly tilted in response to the lop-lopsidedness of her crown, the hatclhing giggled and clumsily nodded at Noa, mimicking the gesture he had done before making the crown.
"Boihdee! " she replied enthusiastically; tail wagging rapidly behind her.
Suddenly, a loud noise startles her from her bubbly state. She bleats in surprise and plops back down onto the tall grass. Her small ears pull back against her skull, then perk back up towards the sound of a large figure-- the tallest she had ever seen-- coming their direction. Loud chirps escape her startled lips, and she sinks further into the grass.

She kept herself stiff in that grass until Noa’s enthusiastic beckoning caught her attention, luring her head from the grass’ shelter to get another look at the large mobile being. She tilted her head slightly as she noticed him nuzzling her leg, and her eyes widen as the tall one comes her way. She cannot help but duck her head slightly...until she is spoken to.
Her ears swirve upwards towards the voice, absorbing it. That voice...she knows it, somehow; finds comfort in its sound, as if it were a familiar lullaby of some sort. She stretches her neck towards the tall one, feeling her warmth radiating off of her like a comforting little flame. With a happy chirp, the hatchling springs back onto her small legs and gently pecks her nose against that of the tall one’s in greeting. Her tail wiggles behind her, and her baby-feathers puff out all around her in excitement of having come across someone so familiar...someone who helped give life to her.

Noa giggled at the other's
Lilith leaned back and
"Well, what do you say little bird? Want to join him?" She asks, gently nudging the shaky little newborn. The doe then moves a few steps away and taps the ground with her hoof, trying to tell the kiddo to follow her. "Come on Birdie, it's time for you to see the pond....if you haven't already."
Little Birdie was slightly
Little Birdie was slightly startled when she heard the big splash of Noa into the lake, and the sight of the water caused her fluffy feathers to stand on end. She had just received her first, and rather unpleasant, experience with being in the water. She cowered, visually expressing her desire to keep her distance from the water. Instead, she chirped a little in response to Lilith’s speaking, even though she could not yet understand what words were. She leaped closer to Lilith’s leg, nuzzling her fluffy body against it and leaning on it slightly as she watched Noa with a look of awe on her features. He must be so brave! To go into that water as if it were a loving friend awaiting his company. Her knees shook slightly, she wished she could be that brave. However, her heart pounded with anxiety each time the thought of going in and joining him came to mind. And so, she finally sighed. She simply couldn’t....at least, not yet.
(omg i forgot im so
He came skipping back, huge lotus in his mouth as he dripped all over the forest floor. Stopping near his mom he dropped the lotus. "For you mama!" he said shaking the water from his feathery coat before settling down to preen himself and dry off. He didn't want to get sick either!
Lilith watched the little one
The old one doesn't want the two little ones with her to worry so after a long pause she makes herself smile slightly. The fake smile quickly turns into a real one once she sees what Noa's carrying. He'd captured the infamous pond Lotus! "Well look at that!" She exclaims, shaking her head slightly in disbelief. When he tells her it's for her....well, that was pretty much one of the sweetest things she'd ever seen. "Wow, thank you so much dear, I'll keep it always." She promises, bending down so she can smell the wet flower. She was lucky, she knew, there were so many beautiful things in this forest.
(No worries, Tree! XD It's
Birdie did not fully understand the meaning behind Lilith’s words, but her tone held wisdom and comfort in it that made Birdie chirp and nod in understanding, anyways in acknowledgement. She soon stopped to gaze upon the large lotus that Noa brought back with awe glistening in her large orbs of sight. The young one hadn’t seen something quite so big and beautiful
besides Lilith, Her attention was stolen, however, when she noticed Noa beginning to preen himself. The memory of when he had saved her and groomed her leaked into her mind, and she perked with an idea. Stumbling over to the male fawn, Birdie chirped and leaned her head in close to him, beginning to aid in preening him as her tail wagged behind her.He laughed as she tried to
Lilith makes a serious face
Then Birdie is toddling over to Noa, flopping down beside him. She shakes her head slightly and bends down to pick up the lotus. Perhaps she could go see Ird, It would make the flower imortal.....no. The idol spirit is gone. Dead. She keeps forgetting and that worries her. There are children, grandchildren and....great-grandchildren to look out for. She can't afford to be forgetful. After a moment of watching the kids cuddle she turns away and crosses the short distance to the pond. The lotus is gently placed in the pond, in a place that the water won't dra it back out. She'll retreive it later. The children are glanced at again and the old doe bends her head to drink.
(Since this 'lil one is part chicken, here's my little hen, her name is Peepers)
(DAWW! Lookit that baby!

Birdie chuckled in response to the little head-nuzzle she received. It gave her a warm, bubbly feeling in her gut that was rather curious to the young one. Letting Noa continue to preen himself, she smacked her lips together, spitting out a bit of feather-fluff that she felt on her lips before huffing and shaking her head, which she turned towards Lilith’s direction to watch her place the Lotus into the water. The sight urged Birdie to tilt her head in curiosity, and she stood, glancing back at Noa before trotting over to Lilith, watching as she drank. Lilith was such a big, beautiful creature. Birdie's eyes glistened as she watched the doe. She hoped to get as tall and pretty as her when she grew up!
love peeps
---
Noa smiled as Birdie moved over to watch Lilith drink. He knew that awe and wonder that she had in her eyes. He shared it as well. Lilith was a wonderful mother and was filling the void his old soul had bore for so long. He was not aware of it now but either way he was happier than he'd been in a very long time.
( She's a lil princess
Lilith stared at her reflection in the pond for a long moment, red eyes tracing over the familiar lines of her face. Her scar holds her attention for awhile, that last shred that still connected her to her homeland. She expected that it would fade away entirely someday but given the fact it had outlasted centuries....perhaps it wouldn't. Not all scars healed after all. She tilts her head up, looking at the Crying Idol in the distance, feeling some sort of a presence but that quickly fades off. She pushes the instance from her head almost as soon as it happened. The world had moved on. The behemoth takes another sip and straightens out, rolling her shoulders to strech out the knots in her neck.
She turns toward the bird child, ears flicking up at her aproach. Although she smiles slightly she's disturbed by the look in the young thing's eyes. Others had looked at her like that too. The old one had lived long enough to see that awe turn into fear and then hatred. The worshippers....they were gone now. In the end they had failed and so had she. She wondered what would happen when Birdie and Noa found out the truth, she wasn't some....god. Or hero. Not anymore. Just a tired old lady trying to deal with a world that changed to quickly for her liking. "You thirsty little one?" She asks softly. "If this isn't....mmm....too scary for you." She amends, tossing her head towards the pond waters.
