Ponderings

March 7, 2022
Aesopi has returned to the forest after a long and arduous journey back to his homelands. Shaking the sand free from his tan and white fur, he decided to plan a meditative reunion with the forest and its many residents in the coming days.

Past Memories

Ended up resting up today. Aesopi (and myself) wasn't feeling particularly good. Perhaps a small cold? After a bit of wandering, he tucked himself away to rest and recover.

[short entry today]

February 23, 2017
He was up in the very early morning for a short period of time. The Forest was eerily quiet as he wandered the place of light in search of a spot to rest. Finally found one, between three trees arranged in a triangle.
[I spent most of the day out and about, so this may be a bit short/staggered, oops]

Aesopi stumbled across "Mr. Sideburns" [CJ's Art Blog Here] resting by himself. Cautious, but quite curious about the sleeping deer, he lingered close-by and observed him for a while. He was uncertain about this stranger, but wished to learn more about him.

He ended up nodding off a spell after that. Odd, he must've been tired. When he awoke, he was in the company of Strega. Though wary, he warmed up to her presence eventually and rested near her with no concern.

The morning promised plenty of activity, as many of The Forest was awake and ready to greet him. He spent most of the early day resting with some kindly strangers, observing the interactions of a few prancing creatures that danced before him. He never did catch any of their names, but he was content to settle with them for a short time, despite that.

As time passed on, he encountered (yet again) the two that often greeted him once he awoke in The Forest. They both settled nearby to rest with him and bask under the sun. It appears both of them have developed a fondness of him, and always seek him out when they can. He can't complain - the company is certainly nice.

One of the friendly strangers he had met in the forest appears to have grown smaller! Aesopi almost mistook the creature for a fawn, had it not been for the familiar scent his companion had. Along with this, he was greeted by Harel.

He had seen the beast wandering about in the past, but it was the first time they had truly encountered one-another. After a short chat, the wolf left and Aesopi wandered his way to The Pond. After a small passage of time, Harel had returned to rest besides him, much to his surprise (and delight - for he had been craving company).

Aesopi has been straying from The Forest more, preferring the company of his own rather than the company of others. He appeared to be feeling a bit lowly lately and uncomfortable around other deer. The socialization he'd been encountering as of late seemingly exhausted him.

Recent Interactions:
- Aesopi and Harel spent quite a bit of time together on the bank of The Pond.
- Aesopi and Unnamed wandered The Forest together along with another stranger. The three parted ways after quite a bit of time spent together.
- Ended up stumbling across Mr. Sideburns and settled next to him. Also woke later to find Strega nearby. Odd.
- Some fawns scampered around when he was resting. While he didn't snap, he didn't seem too pleased to have them disturbing him.

Haunts

Aesopi often lurks near the banks of the pond, preferring the company of the quiet croaks of frogs and the lapping of waves. He's rarely alone, as his companions (a couple of deer whom he has yet to learn the names of) tag alongside him often. He doesn't display annoyance towards them, however, he sometimes seems to crave solitude of his own. He would never turn down the offer of basking in the sun with company, though.
