Archelius may be joining the rut in a between status. May alternate between being a competitor and a non-involved participant. Has not jumped in just yet.

Updates:
CURRENTLY: Out of Forest.

Thoughts: Maybe I need to lay off the incense.
Saying: Whew.
Recently: Spent the day alternately finding ingredients for incense, meditating, and at one point using incense to enter a trance state as part of meditation. Spent some time communicating with ghosts near the pond after meditating, and overall ignoring the entire fact that the rut began and that he did promise his father to actually TRY to get involved this time. This is just not his area of interest. Mild headache lingering from slightly old ingredients being used in the incense, though his energy level has been spiked above normal. Now somewhat fidgety.

Fog rolls in, spirits and ghosts get active. Cue predatory instincts and necromancy boost. May be mildly distracted by ghosts, especially after having spent a few days hopped up on incense. Wandered around the forest a while, before happening upon a group of does cuddling in different nearby groups. Kairi and Arien were in the same area, though Arien was asleep. Stuck around the group a while, and noticed a ram-horned stag in the fog a short ways off. Approached him mildly and attempted to find some spellspam trees to mess with him. Since no hostility was shown beyond the other's mooing, kept his behavior reasonable. Distracted by a ghost afterwards. Returned to the doe group for a while longer before starting to wander off. Just as he was leaving, Arien woke up and caught up with him. Cue SIBLING TIME.

Romped about with Arien for gods know how long. Even got into laughter-spam and momentarily adopted a fawn into the fun. Lost the fawn. Probably would be a terrible father. B|
Eventually passed out watching a herd with Arien. At least that twitchiness is worn off.

Eyes:

Like his father, each eye sees the world around him in a different manner, and can function seperate from the rest. His backmost eyes see the world in a normal spectrum, though one sees black and white while the other sees color. His lower right eye sees heat, much like a snake, and the lower left sees both energy and infared light, much like a shark or jellyfish sense electrical impuses (electroreception). His middle right eye sees ghosts and spirits, regardless of whether the spirit has given up on contacting the living. His middle left eye sees auras within living creatures.

Abilities:

Beyond being able to see ghosts, even the ones who have given up contacting the living, he is able to communicate and control them at will, and can kill the spirits and ghosts as if they were alive so they are forced to 'move on'. He can call on the dead to manipulate his appearance or supply spells; Necromancy.

Artistic Appearance:

In his "day" pelt, he appears to be a normal Irish Elk. His fur is bright golden, with swirls of softer yellow oddly patterend to look like fragmented skelletal markings. He has a realistic deer face under his skull "mask", which is perfectly intact and hides his extra sets of eyes. The two visible eyes appear to be a soft blue color. His antlers appear to suck in sunlight and have an on and off illusion of glowing or letting off black smoke. His body is large and muscular, with a thick neck and heavy fur. His tail is abnormally long, and resembles Darkweaver's, albet furrier and healthier looking. He retains perfect shark-like teeth in an otherwise normal deer's mouth. He appears to be under his prime, and quite young and energetic. This is an added bonus to his disguise of sort, as it masks a lot of details about his bloodline.

In his "Night"/"Necromancer"/"Real" pelt, he has a simple skellington pelt, lacking any markings beside the black and white. His antlers seem to radiate darkness, and possably has dark spirits clinging to them. His skull mask becomes cracked along the sides, letting all six of his eyes see threw. His mouth becomes more dragon-like and opens much further, though the teeth remain shark-like. His fur remains thick and healthy looking, and under his fur it's clear he has muscle to spare. His long tail becomes more ragged looking and far longer. His eyes are all solid crimson. He appears much older, though still very strong and healthy.

After giving Spill's Soul to Osias, as well as the two other souls his family provided to revive the deceased members of his family, Arch has lost a strong fraction of his necromancer power. This is because the spirits that once housed within his antlers are now in living bodies, and are no longer an extention of himself. Until he finds new spirits to manipulate and carry within himself in some manner, he is stuck perpetually in his Necromancer form albet with less abilities. Can not disguise himself, thus is clear to everyone who sees him who he really is.

(Picture by Trinket. THANK YOU <3333333)

Behaviour:

In his "Day" set, he will behave as a younger stag, to match the appearance. While in this set, he will restrain himself immencely in spars and fights, and avoid use of his necromancy. He will stop fighting when he 'logically' should be tired out, if he were a regular deer. He will be generally sedate and approachable, though always on the alert. He will appear to be propetually calm to the point of emotionless, even when anger would be perfectly reasonable. He may be inticed to play with others and engage in sillier behaviours, or multiple friendly spars. In communication, he will come across as somewhat passive and easygoing, not interested in any form of aggression beyong spars. He also will demonstrate a high level of knowledge from what he's learned on many travels. He may even be seen trying to break up fights by standing between combatants. He will behave like a follower, simply going along with whatever someone else is doing, dispite the reality of being more of a leader inwardly. Appears to be a good actor, and maintains an honest demenor. He will show a bit of distaste in wearing the devout pelt, but may instigate 'devout tag' to hide his hate for it.

In his "Necromancer" forme, he will show his true nature - Dominant, Aggressive, and Vengeful. Easilly pushed into anger. He will not back down from battles and will use his real strengh, but only on those who have offended his bloodline or him directly. He may become unreasonable and attack devout pelted deer without question. May use the spirits of his brother and sister to help against abnormally powerful enemies. Being both highly experienced and intellegent, he does know when to drop a fight and make his leave. Will not play or act silly in any way except if he runs into a friend, and will only act silly to hide his dark nature. Will not attack or offend those he's befriended in his "Day" appearance, and in fact may try to avoid them seeing him. He may come across as something of a ninja, and is excellant at hiding. If necessary he may even use spirits to camoflage himself or literally transport himself in and out of locations. He has no signs of nieveity or passivism, and will take an immediate leader role when nessessary.

Practices: His travels outside the forest and constant seeking for a god to believe in has led him to be knowledgable on many religions. He himself will occasionally behave as though he takes to heart Hindu or Vudu beliefs and practices. In other instances, he may appear to instead take on buddhist thinking, but only in his day set. Dispite all of this, he is essentially impossible to pin down to one specific line of faiths or beliefs, especially in his true forme, where he seems more of a mix of Vudu and Aztec in practices. He may sometimes consume certain mushrooms and other fungi to enter trance states, following in line with indiginous beliefs as well. Alternately he may collect items to aid in darker magics.

Melinoe was immediately

Melinoe was immediately intrigued by the stag. She could sense his power, and the spirits that clung to him. He also apparently knew Kaoori, or so she guessed by the fact that the smaller doe sat nearby. And he reminded her of Darkweaver. A relative, perhaps?
"There is something familiar about you." She said this in way of greeting.
Zergarikiaka's picture

Moments before, he had been

Moments before, he had been allowing himself to become lost in meditation in that one spot. The feeling of the sun on his golden back in the cooling weather came quite plesant, almost reminicant of forign lands in other seasons. Archelius' aquatic blue eyes opened and turned to the black and white doe as she greeted him, and threw the opening of his skull mask's mouth a smile can be seen briefly. In a manner considered polite, he dips his head to her. In the back of his mind, he can sense something unique about the doe. Perhaps an association to the ruins. When he speaks, his voice comes in a monotone.
"Perhaps we have met before?" he suggests. The possibility is incredibly small, but if anything they could have passed eachother in walking at some time.

"I would remember." If he

"I would remember." If he were an ordinary stag, Melinoe could have easily met him and then forgotten. But then, if he were an ordinary stag, she wouldn't bother speaking to him. She always remembered those that interested her, particularly those with some connection with death, even if she only met them once. "But you do remind me of someone." She studied his face, noting the eyes. "I have only met one other with eyes like that."
Zergarikiaka's picture

At this, his ears perk

At this, his ears perk slightly. He always found it interesting how quickly very certain individual deer are able to link him to another. His expression remains blank in this regard. Those blue eyes seem to take on a curiousity, more so in how she knows the only one with the same eyes rather than who he reminds her of.
"Would this deer be the one called Darkweaver?" he asks casually.

She simply nodded in answer,

She simply nodded in answer, and tilted her head just slightly. "A relative, I assume?" She could only remember Darkweaver mentioning his mate, whom she had also met, but that was all. Then again, they hadn't exactly spoken much.
Zergarikiaka's picture

The golden stag had a slight

The golden stag had a slight hesitation. This was only out of the pure fact that there were other deer in the same area who might indiscreetly be listening in. He had some knowledge of vandettas still lingering, and had no desire to unintentionally become involved. He only nods once, to indicate his answer. "You might say he is an ancestor." This, hopefully, would be a safer statement than to outright proclaim that he is Dark's son, especially with Kaoori and Wesker so nearby. He did not have any intentions to break any good terms due to the trivial thing that is genetics.

She could sense his unease,

She could sense his unease, and simply nodded, not drawing the subject out. "I have met him once." She moved a little closer, circling around to his side and studying him. Her attention was drawn to his antlers, able to see, or at least sense, what others cannot. She then glanced to where the others sat nearby, deciding not to say anything about what she could sense for now, in case it was something he preferred they not know about. Instead, she nodded toward Kaoori. "You know her."
Zergarikiaka's picture

He tilts his head toward the

He tilts his head toward the blue doe not far away, then looks back at Melinoe. "Yes, I've become well acquainted to her family." he responds. Without going too far into detail, it was really Takeshi, Kaoori's eldest son, who got him around to meeting Kao and Wesker. He had been around when the loss of Hoshiko occured and lent what emotional support he could, but since then hasn't really been around nearly as much. It might have had something to do with Take having a mate now, and himself not wishing to impose on all the nearby and related couples. Heck, he wouldn't sit much closer to the family than he is now unless explicitly asked to, lest he impose. Of course, it's awkward too. Turning his attention back to the doe, part of him wished to concieve questions of his own. She was certainly an interesting one, and the spirits hiding within his massive antlers continued to whisper into his mind that they had heard from the ruin ghosts that she is frequent to the ruins and to listen to the spirits. "It is strange to not have encountered you before. Are you around the ruins much?" he asks, finally, in his usual monotone.

"When I am here, yes." She

"When I am here, yes." She assumed he would know that by "here" she meant in the forest, and did not elaborate only because she felt no need to. If he asked her to explain, she would. For now she simply sat and watched him, sometimes looking up at his antlers, her face showing no expression as usual.
Zergarikiaka's picture

Archelius nodded slightly,

Archelius nodded slightly, more to himself in understanding than anything. He was much the same, generally being around the ruins when within the forest. Having been born and raised as a nomad, and lived his life in the same ways he learned in upbringing, he would be hard pressed to stay here in this forest long. "Sounds like you spend much of your time outside this forest as well." he points out, still maintaining that easy monotone. Polite, formal, but so void of influx or emotion.

Melinoe simply nodded in

Melinoe simply nodded in response, feeling there was no need for further response. She continued to gaze up at his antlers, intrigued by the spirits there.
((Dangit, I left this open, got sidetracked, and forgot about it. Now I don't remember what I was going to write. XD; I'm not sure what else to do, anyway. I thought of having Melinoe interact with the spirits somehow, but I'm not sure how to do it. ^^; ))
Zergarikiaka's picture

With the conversation

With the conversation momentarilly subsiding, the large stag closes his eyes again, apparently going either into a state of rest or resumed meditation. The traces of smoke radiating off his antlers momentarilly seems to dance and behave as though it had it's own life force. Without the command of the necromancer, one of the spirits takes an intangeable form beside Archelius, briefly turning six curious red eyes toward the demi-goddess, in mutual curiousity.

Seeing the spirit take form,

Seeing the spirit take form, Melinoe rose to bow to it, followed by a nod. "You follow him." She said this quietly, glancing briely to Archelius.
Zergarikiaka's picture

The spirit soon took on the

The spirit soon took on the image of what must have in life been a doe. She stands only about half as tall as Archelius, and has a rather young look to her, as though she was not nearly done growing before her death. Her eyes are the same shade of blue as that of Laghodessa, and the feathers in place of antlers are the same kind of gray; only subtly touched with hints of neon blue. She nods to Melanoe as an answer.
"Our brother wouldn't get very far without us." she flashes a smile. Whether she is serious or meaning that as a joke is hard to decide. Archelius gives a soft snort, tilting his head to look briefly at the ghost.

(Laughing out loud Yay, Laoise appearance.)

Brother, hm? That would

Brother, hm? That would explain the connection, then. Whatever it was Melinoe had sensed in the stag himself might contribute to it, as well. Melinoe looked over the ghost for a moment. She seemed so young. It was almost a pity, but then, that would depend on one's perspective. She glanced over to where the other spirit was for a second. "Intriguing." She turned back to the female ghost, glancing between her and the living stag. "Certain abilities run in the family, then, it would seem." She had questions she would like to ask, but for now simply sat back down, watching the others intently.

Kaoori's picture

He stood on Dandelion Hill,

He stood on Dandelion Hill, not approaching too closely. The other was in rut, and though Takeshi was in form, he had no desire to spar now.
Instead, he called out to his old friend.

"Archelius. It's true, you're back. I wondered where you'd gone. I haven't seen you since last summer."

The younger stag bowed with a lopsided grin on his face. He'd grown considerably, his own set of antlers now bearing four tines- the biggest they'd most likely get thanks to his shika genes. However, he knew how to use them formidably should need be. He'd learned a lot from his father, and he now had a family to protect.
Zergarikiaka's picture

@Paz: ((It's a French word,

@Paz: ((It's a French word, pronounced much like L'ow-eyes. Or at least that's how I say it. XD))

The other spirit presant, Adrastos, remained more or less hidden as the mist radiating off Archelius' antler. Clearly among the ghosts, the young doe had to be the most socialy capable. Laoise could more or less sense the demi-goddess had more questions that she might be willing to answer, but for not does not press the matter directly. She strides toward Melanoe, with a step that seems mixed on whether it belonged to a fawn or a spirit. In truth, she was closer to being a fawn than an adult. She stops within a few strides and sits there.

@Kao:

Golden ears flick skyward as they pick up on the familiar voice. Deceptively passive blue eyes turn toward the source of the sound and are greeted with the sight of the blue buck on the hill. One of those rare smiles appears on his lips. Since the past summer, he had not changed much if at all. He still bore the same size, markings, skull and number of bright red tines on his massive antlers. Even though his friend had grown in the past year, he still towered over the other, blessed by the size of the dominant Irish Elk genes in his own blood.

"It is good to see you again, Takeshi." he calls back, welcomingly enough. He may have been in rut, but he wasn't exactly aggressive about it, at least yet. He bows back, nodding his head to the other before standing proper again. "You have certainly changed in the past year. How have things been?"
Kaoori's picture

Takeshi laughed a bit,

Takeshi laughed a bit, trotting down the hill a bit further."Things are... well, but certainly busy. They've changed more than I've dreamed they could. I'm not in the rut this year.. Have a family to protect. If you happen to see my son Ichiro, take it easy on him, hm?"
Zergarikiaka's picture

Archelius seemed surprised,

Archelius seemed surprised, if not intrigued. "You have a son?" he echoes, mostly to digest the idea mentally. It was a little difficult to think of Kaoori as a grandmother, or what had been akin to a kid a year ago now being a father. A soft chuckle escapes the larger stag. "I can't make any promises." he comments, in as much of a well humored manner his monotone can manage.

Melinoe watched the spirit

Melinoe watched the spirit curiously as she came closer. After a moment, she finally spoke again. "You seem quite young. What is your name?"
((aaahhh, roleplaying Melinoe is hard because she usually doesn't do or say much x.x; ))
