My Project Greenleaf Stuff

Hey everyone,

As you may know, there is a project called Project Greenleaf in which players make stuff to sell to raise funds for The Endless Forest. My Project Greenleaf Etsy shop can be found under "Project Greenleaf" in the top menu on the left side of the page. The problem is I don't have any items right now due to people buying and not having much time to make stuff. That is where you all come in. [BE SURE TO READ MORE UNDER THE CUT!]

I want your input on stuff you would like to see and how much you would be willing to pay. I have been playing with the idea of just making a bunch of mushrooms with the clay I have, since I have lots of colors (including glow in the dark). These would just be pre-made. They would be a mix of 2-3 colors. If I make regular size ones, I would make fewer of them for now. If I make smaller ones, I would make more and they would probably be sold as pendants. The regular sized ones (example on left) and smaller ones (expamples on right) are pictured below. Regular sized mushrooms were sold for $2.50 each. The mini-mushrooms were sold for 50-75 cents each because I generally made them from the left over clay I had from other orders. If they're sold as pendants, they could cost 25 cents more.

I have also made custom pendants in the past. Beads would not be included as I don't have money in order to put beads on everyone's order unless I raised the price if someone wanted beads. The leaf pendant cost $5.00, and the simple pendants (star and circle) cost $2.50.

I also made other pre-made items such as necklaces and incense holders, which can be seen in the "Sold Items" area of my Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop_sold.php?user_id=6214704

What do y'all think? Again, give me honest feedback on what you would like to see and what you would buy. Also, please tell me how much you would be willing to spend on what items you would like to see.

Thank you all! <3

I love the custom leaves,

I love the custom leaves, necklaces, and the incense holders for sure! <3

This just reflects my preferences really, but when I browse Greenleaf stores, one of the first things I look for are items inspired by or based on things from the forest, such as your Pond necklace. But I've seen items in Greenleaf stores that are not directly related to the forest - like your incense burners - that I would have purchased as well. I think you can't go wrong creating any items inspired by TEF or nature. Like your leaf pendants - they are based on nature and customizable, and that makes them more personal and unique for the buyer. And personally I think your prices are fine. As for the mushrooms, I really love the first one (the cap is gorgeous), but I think I would order them along with something else (if that makes sense). But I do like your idea of creating both standing and pendant mushrooms.

I like what you've offered in your shop. Smiling You've made items based on the forest and items that are customizable, unique, and creative. Anyway I don't know if I'm any help, my comment is pretty general. xD I wasn't sure about suggesting specific things to make, since I like what you've come up with already, but if you want me to I will.

Glow-in-the-dark mushrooms

Glow-in-the-dark mushrooms sound awesome! Ha!

I totally love your stuff, not really sure what else to tell you. The personalization of your items is a definite plus.

Hope that helps *nuzzles*

Here's another thing: Making

Here's another thing: Making pre-made items saves me time. Since my life has become much busier in the last year with graduate research and coursework, I'm really leaning towards just making a bunch of stuff and putting it on sale. If I was going to mass produce stuff, I would make a variety of things such as leaves, pine cones, and other things that would remind buyers of nature and the Forest other than just mushrooms.

I know people like custom items, though. People will just have to pay more for custom items than they would on pre-made items. Making items cost in terms of dollars and time for buying supplies, gas for commuting to the store for supplies, buying the supplies, and the fee I have to pay to Etsy. Having a business isn't free, and I don't want to end up realizing that I would be better off just saving the money I have and just donating to Tale-of-Tales because I do enjoy making things.
