DO NOT feed your pets Purina.

Please read this here.

Please, do NOT feed your pets Purina. It will cause them great pain and stress. It will cause vomiting and excessive diarrhea, and possible digestive tract failure. If you have been feeding your pet Purina, go buy another brand. This also goes for non-pet owners.

Please spread the word.

Here is a list of complaints.

Purina is the dog food with

Purina is the dog food with the highest recall rate, if I remember right. They don't seem to understand how to keep salmonella out of their food, I don't think.

So yeah, no Purina.

Some people lost their animal

Some people lost their animal because of this food, this is very sad. I don't trust most of the animal food brands.

I give Orijen to my Australian Shepherd and this is a top quality food. I've never heard a bad comment about it (:

This whole situation is

This whole situation is making me rather upset, especially since the company seems to be trying to sweep everything under the rug! Absolutely horrid. I think that there might be enough complaints now to get on a national news network, but I'm not entirely sure. Someone should try anyway.

A lot of these sound like

A lot of these sound like poor storage conditions, like the one who found worms in the bowl and one that had flies come out the bag. Part of it is making sure you get the bag from somewhere the food is properly handled (not sitting on a loading dock in the heat for a couple hours, for instance) and that it's stored in a way bugs can't get into at home.

Aivilo, the main issue for me

Aivilo, the main issue for me with Purina is all of the recalls. They have been recalled at LEAST once a year for as long as I can remember, whether it was their dog food or cat food, Alpo products or otherwise.

GB: Hence "part of it" and not "all of it" Eye
I can't really say much towards Purina recalls, though, as I haven't really been reading up on it. Might look into it though.

I'm sad to say that my dogs

I'm sad to say that my dogs eat Purina whenever their prices are lower then other brands. I'm not the one who buys them their food and my mothers mind-set is "they are old, they are gonna die anyway" /:

But if I ever get my own dog when I move out, they are going no where near that junk.
And I'm defiantly informing my friend, she is getting a puppy this week.

Unfortunately most of the dog

Unfortunately most of the dog food you find in grocery stores is not fit for dogs, as it includes a bunch of corn and other filler ingredients they simply weren't meant to ingest. It is the same for cat food.

Whenever I have extra money I fork out for the good brand foods, but it doesn't happen nearly often enough, sadly. Why does good food have to be so expensive ;-;

Thanks for spreading this info.
My dog is raw-fed, though if I'm in the hospital she's fed either blue buffalo or science diet because my mum doesn't like to bother preparing her raw meats and cooking her vegetables.

But in the end, it's much cheaper and healthier.
Remember to read the ingredients on your pet's food. Meat of some sort should always be the first thing on the list.
