*Altering this to include participants, cast, etc.*
We have Seed the Bard, Iaurdagnire the Wise, who respectively write lovely poetry and prose. We have a game, with a host of actions, reactions, and combos to create a vivid dialog without text, and we have a creative player base.
Let's make a deer acting troop!
=The Plan=
We will use pelts, masks, antlers+adornments, and other spells as 'costumes'. We will put a 'play program' on the community website in the form of a blog post, with poster and information of showing times, naming the characters and who they're played by, and a little about what happens in the story.
We could redo works of Shakespeare, or collaborate on our own tales!
=Who's Involved?=
Cast (deer names):
Zelig
Oberon
Adonis
21
(Ocean's deer)
Research:
Writer(s):
Seed(? or did you want to act?)
Artistry:
21 (possibly =D)
Stage Hooves:
=Current Projects=
None =P
Can I ask everyone to make little roughshod applications for your deer for this? I don't need to know much, but you should know that it's likely you'll need a fastish computer to be able to be an actor in the forest. Just stick something in a reply, like your deer's name if they want to be an actor or writer, or your own info if you'd like to volunteer by designing posters for the event, or provide artistic interpretations of how the plays would look (ie if you're an artist) Or what have you.
I had an idea for the troop's first production: Orpheus and Eurydice, also known as "Orpheus in the Underworld". It's where Orpheus (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orpheus) goes into the underworld to find his wife, Eurydice, after she dies. He finds her, and pleads with Hades to let her go, and he allows them to leave, on the condition that Orpheus could not look at Eurydice until after they reached the surface. Unfortunately, he looks, and Hades whisks her away again.
