The confusion

Wanna dance - but nobody else seems to feel like it...
Is there some underlying message in starting to dance? Are there special dance parties in the forest or something?

I was able to help someone to change the mask, and was warned (I think) not to get into the cage in ruins - I don't think there are traps in TEF but is there a glitch hidden there or something?

Also some very nice Deer changed my pelt which didn't last long but was still fun Smiling...

Still not sure how casting enchantments works - especially with other fawns when we both get the idea to charm the other at the same time, there is lot of light but nothing seems to happen... Or sometimes just happens for one of us... Well I guess it's the part of growing up we mess up a lot Eye...

Does a spell one picks up is only good for one casting?

Why can we pick red and purple flowers but not the yellow and blue ones?

Are we supposed to greet all Deers we meet or only bother them if we need some help with something? I would go for greeting everyone but I wouldn't like to be a bother if the norm is to only disturb others when you wish for them to help out...

So much to find out Smiling

Oh and is there some way to zoom the camera by keybord? Unfortunately my scroll doesn't work very well (since I use pad)...

Thanks so much again to all that helped me out in the Forest and gave advice here yesterday Smiling... How do you say "thanks" in deerish? I tried bowing and nodding but I'm not quite sure if it's right... Hopping would express joy I think but I'm not sure...
Also I apologize to everyone I meet that my Deearie sometimes bows or makes gestures in weird directions not face to face, or starts to run all of a sudden and seems to get confused as to where to go - It's quite hard to control it by pad with issues Sad...

Don't be afraid of bothering

Don't be afraid of bothering other players , you are a fawn and people are very kind to fawns .
Fawnhood is for learning Eye
You can say hello and bow to everyone you meet , but you don't need to , if you want to play then you can go up to someone and bow with a nodding .
Not all players are near their Pc even when they are sitting ...maybe they didn't see you bowing .
One spell is for one cast .
The spell seems to appear on others dependind on how good their internet connection is ..it can show up immediately or slower or even not .You can only pick up red and purple flowers .
Sometimes there are candles in specific areas , you can pick up them too they will even stick on a fawn .
I sadly don't know for zooming without a mouse ....

Thank You very much Smiling... Yup I think it's gonna be a busy month of learning everything there is to learn about deering around Smiling...
So that's it - the Internet connection. Should have known considering what I went through with my previous Internet provider 0_o...
Ahhh the candles you say, candles seem nice - lucky it's an enchanted forest with unflammable trees and Twin Gods are there to send showers if need be Eye... Do they only appear around Halloween or are there also other lucky dates?

Dancing is a lot of fun! The

Dancing is a lot of fun! The music is also soothing too! Don't take it personally if a deer doesn't dance with you. Don't take it personally if a deer doesn't respond to any of actions. Usually the deer in the forest are simply resting and multi-tasking outside of the forest. During the day deer are tired and they usually leave their deer in the forest while they do other things. Some may be just AFK (away from keyboard). You see a lot of the deer in the forest are from different parts of the world so they live in different time zones than you. c:


I don't know why you would've been warned 'not to go into the cage' in the Ruins... It's a safe place, don't worry. I've gone in the cage plenty of times and I've never gotten stuck in it. It does seem a little scary to be inside of it, but you'll get used to it after a while. But I'm pretty sure it's harmless. If you're still unsure about the cage, maybe lay somewhere around the cage, not in it, for a couple of days so you can observe its behavior. So you'll be fine. ^-^


When your fawn, magic spells cast upon you don't last very long. They're only temporary. Why this is, I don't know. But when you're an adult deer you'll be able to keep your spells for as long as you like! Like I said, I'm not entirely sure why this is, but fawns cannot hold spells for long. You'll become an adult after one month from the day you registered for the game, (I'm 90% sure).


Haha, it's okay if you don't understand magic. It's confusing! Fawn hood is all about learning so it's completely normal for you to be a little confused. This is a great way to learn about the forest, that's why adults are very kind to fawns. Maybe this page will help you understand a little about magic:

I'm pretty sure when you gain a spell you can only cast it once... At least that's the way it is in my case. But you can use as many spells as you wish as long as you keep picking them up.


I don't think there's any specific reasons why you can only pick red and purple flowers. Maybe those are the developer's favorite colors?


Don't hesitate to greet a deer! You're only a fawn and fawn hood is respected in TEF. I greet everyone I see, too. So don't be afraid to say hello to fellow deer you meet. Like I said earlier, don't take it personally if a deer doesn't respond to you - they may not be on the game or they're away. Sometimes deer leave their game running while they go to bed, in real life.

Little Tip: Using the "Bow" action is a proper and polite way to say hello in the forest

Well about the cage perhaps it had a different meaning like I previously changed the Deer mask and he seemed to like it but then went to the cage and shook his head, so maybe it meant "don't change my pelt" - guess even deerish can get confusing at times Eye...
