Sososo lately, I’ve been thinking about the part of Jester I haven’t really gotten to play about with as of yet-that is, the side of him that eavesdrops, stickybeaks, adores blackmail and scandal, and generally takes pleasure in the secrets and rumours of others. I’ve also been considering how this side of him could be represented in the most entertaining way not just for me, but for all of you, too. And thus, I present to you all:

TEF SECRETS ♥

As not many of you will know, I used to be a rather well-known active livejournal roleplayer for quite a few years. In the majority of the communities I was involved in with my main muses (Marluxia and Kuja :3), there was a little something we used to have that allowed us all to express creativity, opinions, compliment and communicate with others, and inspire new plots and techniques of character expression that was not only effective, but very fun, as well. This wonderful phenomenon was known as ‘secrets’.

Basically put, a 'secret' is an image that users make that act like an anonymous confession from their characters. Usually a secret will contain a relevant background image, and words that add to the meaning of this background image in a way that communicates a message, though the secret can be anything you like, from merely an image to a screenshot of a word document with some relevant words. Secrets usually contain ambiguous phrases, or confessions, that make plots and such more interesting, or even create them-these confessions will remain completely anonymous unless the creator admits to making it themselves. TEF Secrets works in exactly the same way as any other secrets concept-everyone within the community submits their created secrets to the organizer (me, in this case), who then posts these secrets where members of the community can view them (probably once every week/fortnight, depending on how many secrets are submitted every week), comment upon them, and spawn ideas/feel fluffy from. The twist with this version is that these secret posts will be 'run' by Jester, who has supposedly ‘picked up’ these secrets from around the forest during his sneakysneaky wanderings, and now desires to stir things up a bit by revealing his ‘wisdom’ to others~

And sooo, yes. This is just little something I've had a sudden brainbirth of, and was wondering-how many of you would be interested in participating in this, and what are your thoughts upon this idea as a whole~?

Oh and yupyup Alicev, they're indeed really easy and quick to make-I remember we had some people just make motivational posters with the online motivational poster maker, or type something in word and make it look fancy and take a screenshot of it. I haven't roleplayed on lj for quite some time now, and sadly no, I haven't played in either of those places-I played in those such as Parisa City, Atra Viscus, Rizumikaru Yomi, Heartless, Oblivion, and quite a few more with slightly less cliche titles than Heartless and Oblivion *giggles*. However, I do remember Sages of Chaos-I was going to app there at one point!

@ Raynn: Oooh, actually I've never heard of PostSecret! *laughs* I'm certainly going to go and look it up now, though~! :3 I got this idea from the previous communities I've been a part of where we had secrets posts among the community members, but perhaps the mods who set it up at these places were inspired by PostSecret?

I haven't played in Sages of Chaos in ages, but Dear Multiverse doesn't require an app. I play Dirk Gently from some Douglas Adams books, and a few original characters. I've been quiet there lately just because of a lot of RL stuff.

I saw a few of those types of communities where apps weren't required, they looked pretty nifty! Oooh I haven't read all of the Douglas Adams books, I've read parts of them but this was a while ago, but I'll hafta look him up! :3 It's great to meet someone else who uses LJ for roleplaying, I haven't roleplayed there for a year or so now, but I used to enjoy it so much ♥ And aaaw, I hope the RL stuff isn't icky, and that you're okies~!

You two have both raised interesting points about the whole anonymous posting thing, and seeing as TEF doesn't have anonymous posting it made it a little harder sooo I figured I'd go with email rather than the other option of secret pictos, as no doubt some people would have some concerns about 'using up' of pictos from what I've read, and of course yup, the whole harrassment thing. Despite the fact email is off-site, it seems to be the easiest and best way to do it :3
