((contains human not insane Vilnius! -gasp!-))
"Vilnius, stop messing around and get those papers for me"
The brunette looked up, his warm clover-flower-purple eyes set upon his 'teacher' for a moment, smiling softly from his place at the table.
"Sure sir!" he jumped up, only to return a moment later.
"uhm, sir, the papers aren't there"
His mentor cursed.
"I must have left them at the office..." he sighed, looking at the window, the rain splashing down against the glass, the night illuminated by the pale moon.
"Well, I can go and get them for you"
A smile.
"Would you?"
The young intern nodded, standing up, grabbing his jacket on the way out.
He stepped out quietly into the cold rain, humming softly to himself.
He didn't mind the rain, it refreshed the land, made it warm and green once more when the sun returned.
Upon reaching the small hospital he carefully unlocked the door, stepping inside and shaking a bit before rushing to the main office, searching through drawers until he at last found the thick manilla envelope.
"there you are" he nodded to himself before leaving, tucking the papers under one arm as he locked the door.
Turning, humming again he moved to set off, only to trip over a small bundle in his path.
The bundle yelped.
He looked down, regaining his lost balance.
A pair of chocolate coloured eyes looked back, a sopping ball of mangy yellow fur.
"Hey little man" he chirped, crouching down, the rain pitter pattering like a million little heartbeats.
"you look cold"
The dog wagged his tail, trotting up to the boy, snuffling about him.
Vilnius giggled, slipping his jacket off, wrapping the dog in it.
"I gotta go, but you can keep that, okay? 'cuz I can get a new one! and you look like you need it way more than me"
The dog tilted his head, retreating into the alleyway.
The student nodded.
By the time he returned to the apartment he shared with his teacher he was soaked through, brown hair sticking to pale pale skin.
"what on earth took so long?"
"sorry, someone needed help!"
"That big heart of yours is going to get you hurt someday"
The boy snorted, setting the papers down.
"it was a dog, he was cute!"
Again his mentor shook his head, though he smiled.
"Vilnius, you're still young, you're naive, you'll learn, someday"
The brunette shook his head, "nope, I'm going to be the best surgeon ever!" he spun, motioning about, nearly knocking over a lamp and he stumbled to grab it before it broke.
"And I'll help everyone, then people won't have to die so quickly right? they'll know me all over, I'll be known everywhere!"
His mentor sighed, sitting down, laying back on the couch, and a sharp scrabbling started up at the door.
"Vilnius..."
"uh hu?"
"Go let your damn dog in"
