This struck me at first how you did the blood; maybe I have grown so accustomed to seeing detail in light to heavy "gore" or death drawings on here, but because this was so smudged, coupled with the smudging of the background and all the warm colors blending together, it reminds me of a fading from consciousness event. Similar to when you hear stories of near-death experiences, where subjects can see themselves very clearly, but all the details around them are very obscured, especially the more shocking the details may be.

I love the fact that it's hard to see the blood a bit because it blends with his fur and the ground so well. And I love how soft and blurry the backround is; it's almost maybe he's looking at his own dead body, and everything around him is becoming a blur...
