I found it so heart wrenching and some how mean, that Auge pushed her away.
Trees thinks the same way. Now, none of us want to say, that Auge is a bad mother, and somewhere, her philosophy is right. But not in that kind of moments.
Trees herself has another picture of a mother. Her own was a caring and lovely one, so she wants to be like that and she can't stand to see others cry.
