wanted to practice more backgrounds and colouring + inktober.
I miss this place dearly, and since school takes away a lot of time I find it hard to make time for digital art or games.

Drawing this was quite a meditative experience (I will definitely try to draw more deer in the style) . I limited myself to some of the three colours I found most pleasing. Oh, and look how fat he is! I found this really stubby water-loving deer as a reference and just had to draw it.

Anyway, he may become a new character in time, I'm very fond of him.

Feeling stressed?? Draw a sinister deer!

Emmy says hello even though not many people will remember her at all.
I'm eventually going to finish her new ref, but the biggest changes are the quills on her butt and shoulders, and her diet will no longer consist of other deer. She still bites, tho.

My roommate gifted me a bunch of sticky notes at work, which is pretty significant because it's a paper-free environment lol these are illegal drawings!!
What do I do with said sticky notes? Draw on them during my lunch, of course. I've already doodled a couple of things at work, but this one is my favorite so far and I wanted to color my deer-child in Sai.

I honestly don't mind people referring to Haroten as "she" or "he"--their gender is up to interpretation, but personally, Haroten really likes being called "they" for now!
I was inspired by this most adorable vine by Jeffrey Marsh.

...I really hate drawing triangles... but I don't think it's OBVIOUS AT ALL

Atiq Redesign Concepts

I want to give Atiq a fresh new look, after all it's been about 6 years since his old design and...well I think it's crap lol

So first step, figuring out his pelt colors is the first step, then once I decide on that I'll work on accessories/other stuff.

I kind of have an idea of what I like from this, but I'm kinda curious as to what you guys think. A combination of parts of these or whatever is fine too, as that's kind of what I'm leaning towards |D

also I really hope the picture shows up this time >n>
