Rou and Farron's Drinkplaats Fun

It was a usual routine for Rou to wake up to the sound of birdsong and the glint of the sun through the treetops. Though she was excited about what she and Farron would do when she found him, she realized that the usual joy she felt at the sight and sound of the beautiful summer day was no longer there. There was no use worrying about it now, so Rou just stood with one foreleg lifted and her ears up, alert as she listened for the familiar pictograph of the buck she had become close with. She didn't know how long she stood there, near the Drinkplaats where she had fallen asleep, but it was long enough to make her hooves itch to move.

That's exactly what the young doe did, running through the forest, passing the Ruins, the Oak, the Twin Statues and sliding to a halt near the Pond. She knew Farron well enough to know he liked spending time near the Crying Idol where the Pond began. After she arrived at the Crying Idol, Rou stood listening once again, trying to pinpoint Farron's location so she could join him wherever he was. But to her disappointment, Farron's pictograph wasn't appearing anywhere, so she laid down beside the Crying Idol for a while, unaware that Farron was just behind her. It wasn't until later that the young doe caught a familiar scent riding the wind that blew toward her. She recognized it and decided to investigate. Sure enough, Rou found Farron laying in a patch of sun, curled up and asleep. At first, Rou had laid down beside him but after a while of just lying there, Rou stood and turned to another fawn that had decided to investigate Farron and herself.

Rou tried to get the fawn to join into a dance party with her until Farron woke, but the fawn just scampered off, leaving Rou there to wait by Farron's side. Finally, growing tired of just standing around waiting for Farron to wake up, Rou settled down beside him and within five minutes, the young doe was asleep, nestled beside the buck. It hadn't been long when Rou heard movement beside her and then she heard a deer stand to his hooves. Knowing exactly which deer was standing, Rou woke and rose to her hooves before she exchanged some nuzzles with the older deer. The first place that the two went, after they had a small dance party near the Crying Idol, was the Drinkplaats. Rou had so much fun the last few times she and Farron had gone there that she wanted to return there. Rou nearly had a hard time slowing herself down, so she slid onto her forelegs to slow her momentum and she came within a few inches of crashing straight into the fountain that fed the endless magical water.

As she stood, waiting for Farron to join her, Rou's hooves tingled and she felt suddenly alive in this place, feeling part of the forest, though she didn't enjoy the bare feeling she felt without her flower crown. It wasn't long before Farron joined her and they both took a drink from the magical water, well aware that there were several creatures of the forest watching them. She remembered the very first time she and Farron came to the Drinkplaats to mess around with the magic. The first time they both drank from the water, they were both turned into cute bunnies, with Farron being bigger than Rou. This time, however, she was turned into a squirrel and Farron was transformed into a bunny. Though it was hilarious, Rou couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that they weren't the same species of forest critters. They continued fooling around at the Drinkplaats, each time they drank they were turned into different animals, until they both got rather bored of it.

Together, the two ran through the forest, stopping near the Pond once more. They bounced around and played before they picked up another fawn as they headed toward the Ruins. Rou, feeling the same way she felt when Rilea had joined them, tried her best to not care that the fawn was just following them and tried to keep herself beside Farron as best as she could. The instant the three arrived at the ruins, Rou got stuck a few times and lost sight of the fawn and Farron, which made her become real worried that they had left the ruins. Finally managing to get herself unstuck, Rou trotted around the ruins and found Farron and the fawn near the rather odd looking metal thing. She stopped when she saw Farron standing inside the mesh and she was slightly confused at first until she found it was extremely funny. Farron, noticing that Rou was laughing because he seemed to be 'stuck' inside the metal mesh, also began laughing. They had so much fun until the three of them settled on top of a flat piece of hard stone. It was then that Farron had to leave and said his goodbyes to Rou and the other fawn. Rou thought that the fawn would stick around while Farron was gone but she was wrong, as she often was. Rou stayed there for a good while before she decided to leave to see if she could make some more friends or find friends she knew.
