Realistic deer-portrait

Just a quick watercolor-study to try my hand at doing more natural-looking deer... kind of messed up the body though and the head looks huge. Well, it looks close enough.... *shrug*
Glad that the head looks nice, atleast. Should try again something similar later, it´s been a while I have tried doing more natural animals. <_<

The only thing I can say is to make them appear less furry. Deer have short hair, unless the breed says otherwise.

I agree, I kind of regretted of adding the fur-texture on it after I had done it, it messed up the watercolor-layers I had worked on... I have to remember to not add pointless detail next time.
