A baby magpie we tried to save from two cats after falling
down from his nest for maybe two months ago.
He died for two days ago, and we buried him today.

I saved a young mocking bird from a dog after falling from his nest once. And another time, I tried to save a baby Raven but he had internal injuries.
Goodbye, Toto; I will miss you. <3 Stay happy and fluffy for the sake of your beloved owner for however short you met!
I once saved a newborn baby smaller than my palm from a storm because the mother left it there. A few minutes after I had put it in a box on top of my heated bed, my mother sweet-talked me into letting it back outside, so I made her give it a box with towels and such before she did. She raced back out in the rain and set the covered box down, and the next morning it was gone. Disappointed, I went back to school, but I came back unconvinced and inspected closer to find that it, in fact, was still there. I was a bit shocked but moreso proud at the sight of it breathing. I'd decided the mother had come back to feed it, and hours or a day later (memory fails me there), it really had gone. I can only pray the mother finally took it back to her nest and loves it again. <3
Once when I had checked on the baby, I found a raven romping around with a broken wing. I was afraid he'd harm the bunny, so I walked towards it and he somehow got through our fence into our backyard. I'd never seen a bird like that and didn't know what to think, but I hope the best for him too. <3 <3
