The Gryphon's of Paradise
The Mount of the Harpies

Height: 17 Hands and Up (70 Inches/5.6 Feet and Up)

Coloring: Natural Large Cat Coloring (Exception of Lions) and Tropical Bird.

Features: Much like a standard Gryphon by all means, they have a very cat like grace to their bodies. While it's less common with typical Gryphon's the Paradise variety that live in Azanamas bear their Bird like Feet to the back and the feline paws to the front. These strange Gryphon's also only have the upper halves of their mouths as the beak, while the bottom half remains completely feline. In many cases their bodies are covered in thick fur due to their life in the mountains, rarely do they have a feline tail. Instead, the Gryphon's of Paradise bear a very large bird tail that relates to the bird half that their bodies takes after. In the case of the Peafoul, the tail will be that long, elegant bloom (if male) or a extremely longer version of the females tail.

Temperment: These lovely creatures are naturally docile and mellow to anyone and anything that comes within their territory if it doesn't mean harm. While they are very territorial when it comes to rival creatures (Such as the Pegasus) they are naturally a creature that does not enjoy any means of fighting. Wild Gryphon's are naturally more untamed and unpredictable while those that are domesticated by the Harpies are extremely playful and act as though they are overgrown kittens. Tamed Gryphon's are extremely loyal to their riders, and will do almost anything to protect them.

Diet: Living in the Mountains the Gryphon's often times will take in small stones to help with the digestion of the berries and other things they eat. Sometimes when they are near the waters they will take a chance to catch fish or small river crawfish. These Gryphon's are typically Omnivores with a higher preference to nuts and berries to the meats that they could possibly eat and capture.

The Gryphon's of Paradise are the Primary species that dwell in the Mountains with the deathly Pegasus that I posted previous. Both have a heated territorial dispute going as they are both being forced to live too close together.

Night Talons overall coloration was inspired by This particular Peacock Thus he's actually quite a unique creature just like his rider.
