August 30, 2009 - 5:18pm — Aellae
Aellae remembered a word today as she stared upwards. She'd only just woken up from sleeping under the oak when she saw something white and fluffy in the sky. The word 'nubes' popped into her head. She wondered if this was a language she spoke in that world that seemed so far off to her. She tried to speak it, but all that came out was a long, drawn out roar. She didn't have long to think about the word when she noticed two deer standing not far off. One had an orca mask and a dark blue pelt while the other was red with great, outlying anters. Much to her delight, they BOTH wanted to play! She leapt around aimlessly and danced for them. Aellae's noticed after only a short while in the forest that dancing around in circles tends to become infectious. She showed her new friends her moves until it became time to part ways. While they were dancing, Aellae noticed a stag approaching them. She went over to greet the stranger who had a peacock pelt, a skull mask, and black antlers. Despite her best efforts, the stag seemd unresponsive. She bowed again and again, but he didn't want to play. Aellae grew bored of waiting for him, bowed, and left. Soon after. she found a very nice group of deer who danced and played with her. Suddenly, the deer formed a line. Aellae cocked her head at them at first, but when they started to dance, she jumped on the tail end and joined them. She lost herself in the dancing for a while until the deer at the head left. She was sad, but one of the deer with a dark blue and yellow pelt and a long mask stuck around to play with her. She had a lot of fun with them, casting spells and dancing around. Another deer with blue antlers and red flowers watched. She tried to get the deer to play by casting a spell him. He laughed, but he didn't join. All too soon, her friend had to leave. She said good-bye and watched them disappear just like the deer she'd met the day before. Just when she thought she'd leave, another deer, this one with a striped pelt, arrived. The two of them played in the pond until she heard something calling her. Unable to resist, she bid the striped deer fairwell and fell asleep, sinking back into a murky dreamworld.
