7.19.13-10.26.15 15 years old.
Most bonds have been forgotten over his absence.
Instinct mixed with human curiosity and thought processes.
Mentally broken. Retreated to the forest from a ruined homeland. Returned to his rock tending, though on a grander scale. Talks to them and believes on some level that they are his deceased herdmates and family. Body | Summer | Winter | Rut
I laughed so hard I couldn't touch the computer for awhile. I find it funny how Lilith is darn huge but somehow can not jump on the playground rocks without something like that happening.

Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
It had been a while since he'd been to the endless forest or "Endlos" as he know called this place. Surprisingly, as the unicorn stepped through the rift, his hooves found not snow, but cold grass. The evening sun didn't help in warming the place as things began to grow more chilly as the holidays rolled in. When it would snow, he wasn't certain during the given moment, but if he truly wished all he'd have to do would be to "skip" forward a bit.
But he wasn't one for much magick at the moment. Not if he had to extort his own. He already spent the last week and a half fighting with rogue dragons and thieving kobolds. And then there had been the rehabilitation of the town they had destroyed. Then there was Shurina...
He sighed, but walked on all the same. Mephistopheles had made a promise. Besides, he was certain the book of illusion spells he'd brought with him would be something Reate would like. The kirin-unicorn seemed to be a bit of a specialist with that type of magic anyways.
My muse is incredibly fickle right now. I apologize.
The bare branches of the willows fidgeted in a weak winter wind. It was just enough of a breath to send ripples over the pond and stir the water reeds. Reate had himself situated under the willow's branches on the bank of the pond. He seemed comfortable enough despite the cold, lying in what sun he could find with his tail streaming out behind him. He seemed focused on gnawing on the remnants of a candy cane, much like a dog would with a bone. The treat coated the fur around his muzzle and the fur around his hooves- not that he seemed too concerned.
It's alright. We can make it a short one if you want. I'm also sorta busy, but I figured I owed you this since Mephistopheles left so suddenly last time he and Reate met. Now that he's back and all, I figured I'd have him deliver the book he spoke about. c:
—
The stallion traversed the side of the river the flowed from the idol to the pond. It wasn't as quick as it normally would have been in the summer, and it was nowhere near warm enough to take a bath in, but he walked near it all the same. The cold air that brushed up against his side whenever a wave rose too high pushed him to keep going. To say he was a bit tired would have been an understatement. He was exhausted, and the promise of a warm bed somewhere was another thing that kept him going.
It was as he neared the bridge did he perk his ears toward the sound of crunching. Green eyes cast downward toward the rim of the pond where the shallows turned into the muddy bank. A little further up and there was the wallowing willow. Under it lay a familiar face. One the unicorn was glad to have found so quick. He raised his muzzle a bit and let out a whinny before making his way down the hill.
"And here I thought you'd be in a warmer place," he commented, giving the other his usual smile as he got close; noticing that the object Reate had been crunching on happened to be a candy cane.
Oh it's fine! I apologize for my fickle mood. Things come up and I get stressed, so as long as you don't mind an immediate reply all is well ^^. I tend to want to make it a longer, more of a meaningful post so I wait until I have the muse to do so.
Reate's head had shot up at the whinny, giving his own bark of greeting in return. Mephistopheles. He hadn't heard the stallion's approach over the sound of the candy being crushed between his teeth. At least, he hadn't really paid too much attention. He had heard the clip-clop of hooves on the stone, but he had just assumed it was a deer.
Giving the final stub of his candy cane a good crunch, the stag rose to his hooves to twirl about to face the other.
"Somewhere warm?" he repeated, the tip of his voice rising into a question. He hadn't been sure if he had heard him right. Though, giving it a thought, he must have. The amber eyes flickered over the other male and he lowered his head to rub the peppermint off his muzzle and onto his fur. Not quite getting rid of it, but close enough for the time being. "No, I did think about it once or twice. All of my friends are here though. I've had enough traveling to last me a few years as it is..." he trailed off for a moment or two, lifting his head up to meet his gaze while adding, "I don't really mind the cold much, my fur keeps me plenty warm." He frowned in thought for a moment or two, "Ah, that's right. Did you have a safe trip back to your home?"
;; Sorry for such a late reply. I haven't been feeling well these past couple of days.
-
The unicorn nodded. "I did, though I believe that was the most peaceful part of the entire journey. Though I did remember a few things. The book you requested being one of them." There was a wisp of magic beside the unicorn's head as a portal opened up. It was small, too small for either of them to fit through. Then again, it wasn't meant for travel. Instead, an old grimoire slid through before the rift disappeared within a cloud of black smoke. The front of it displaying a rune of sorts.
"The book itself is for illusion spells," Mephistopheles explained. "It is also written in a way that when you open it, the words translate to your given language. They'll speak to you, as well." Who knew? Maybe even now the other could hear the tiny whisperings that came from within the pages.
Opening it, Mephistopheles peered down at the random page, and to him the runes inside glowed green, purple, and black. But to Reate they may have appeared different. Different, however, didn't matter. For just as the stallion had said, the book would react accordingly to whomever laid eyes on it.
"The runes you see were carved with steles by dragons of the archaic class. They're fairly nifty, if I do say so myself." He smiled.
It's okay! I haven't really been feeling well either.
--
Reate stepped closer when the book opened, unable to resist the urge to sniff it. Though when he got closer he was attacked with an onslaught of magic. It was a muddle of different ones, much like how the wind varied. He snorted, shook his head and went back to sniffing the book. For him, he didn't see any runes. Just a glittering outline where the runes should have been. His version of magic had no written language. You could capture it as easily as you could capture the wind, and the only names for the magic he knew, were the names given to the different types of spells he understood. Even those were broad terms, nothing that was specific to any sort of spell.
"Interesting..." he murmured, "...it's like...a holder or a summoner. Something that calls it, keeps it safe within its pages...yes?" he tipped his head at the other, not quite sure if he'd understand. Their magic and understanding of it was different- something that Reate forgot from time to time.
Mephistopheles nodded toward his question. "Of course once you learn the spell it'll stay with you forever." He wondered if the other could levitate it as he remembered that Reate's magic had been limited by the forest's influence. Maybe the book's influence would help that bond, but he didn't count on it. It wasn't like the grimoire was overflowing with catastrophic spells.
"It's yours to keep if you wish," he said, leaning his weight against one of his hind hooves. "I have an assortment of spell books back home. A library." He wasn't sure if Reate knew what I library was. Sometimes he just wished he could drag otherworlders to his own home. They wouldn't handle it so well, though. Clearance. It was all about clearance.
@Ebony
"Don't mention it, Lil." the male answered with a half smile. Birds. He reached out to give the dove a poke with his nose.
@Charr
"A library..." he breathed. Reate didn't know what a library was...really...but it sounded interesting. Rather interesting. He did understand what an assortment was- it was just another word for a collection. He had plenty of collections. The most he could bring to mind was a bunch of spell scrolls sitting in a pile in one of those human hut...things. "Really? I can keep it?" he tipped his head uncertainly at the other male. It'd be interesting to play with this magic- whatever it was that it possessed. He didn't reach for the scroll, instead he just studied the parchment, "I'd love to see your world sometime. At least...see enough of it so I can put objects to all the names you give things. It doesn't sound like anything I've ever encountered."
The magic made her twitch but at least it got rid of the water. "I swear..." She made her face serious, stony even making her voice match it. "I swear that someday, sometime you are going to wake up one day covered in a pile of leaves." She was smiling her old smile, eyes narrowed and her mouth only slightly turned at the corners. In all honesty it looked more like she was ready to attack him then it looked like she'd crack up laughing at his face any minute now.
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
After a few attempts to say anything serious, looking rather like a gold fish she burst out laughing. "Just you wait, someone's going to do something."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
(Oh god, the visual...and goldfish are so adorable. Love fishies.)
He gave a cheeky smile at her breaking out into laughter, flicking his tail at her but didn't put much effort behind it. "When did you want to go see the ocean Lilith?" He asked after a few moments.
(Can you imagine what she'd look like as a goldfish? Reate posses the rare ability to spoil her dramatics.)
She snapped at his tail playfully with a hiss. "When the weather gets warmer and Achilles and Aurik's littles are bigger. Soon though, I - " This would be embarssing. "I don't actually remember where the ocean is. Just heading in one direction would take too long. I've been gateway hoping trying to find a short cut to close by the ocean. Nearly fell off a few cliffs already."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
(Honestly, these came to mind immediately. xD And yes. Yes he does.)
He nodded at her words, realizing it would be a few months yet. Inwardly sighing, he fought back his disappointment as the male spoke up again, "Have you been to this place at least once before?"
She frowned noticing his disappointment immediately. The old one had wanted to leave months ago but there were others depending on her now, others that needed her protection. Perhaps she may be able to talk to parents about the trip though. "Of course I have! I was a Go- it's been years. All the roads and ways and memories are all tangled up together. Or vanished. Memory becomes an unreliable thing when you've spent an eternity on your own. " She quieted herself he had not meant disrespect and it had been a good question. She would've asked the same question. "I'm close to finding good path, I just need to find a portal that doesn't involve me jumping off of a cliff to reach it."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
(xD there was a couple that came to mind, those are the especially cute ones, if you asked me.)
Memory becomes an unreliable thing when you've spent an eternity on your own.
"I disagree. Memories are not unreliable. The mind is unreliable. Time confuses the mind, turns it dull. It makes you second guess everything you remember- allows it to be tricked." he went quiet again, realizing it wasn't so much a problem finding those memories that led the way there as it was finding a safe way there. "Cliffs...?" he echoed, "I might not be a plane-walker...but I can find ways around heights, if that is the issue. Surely between the two of us...our magic is strong enough to conquer something like a cliff?"
(for some reason I automatically pictured a blob fish even though those aren't goldfish. I'm mean XD)
She wasn't sure about that. The mind was unreliable, her's had crossed that line a long time ago. Memories weren't concrete things either though, there were fake memories created to fill up gaps, memories that belonged to others. As if to prove the doe's point He appeared behind Reate. Flickering in and out like red smoke, that infernal smile stretched across his face before fading. Only she could see him. The Red was a memory. "Hmmm. I hardly have any magic left unfortunately, I'd rather find a safer route. Falling from great height isn't something I'd care to do more than once in my lifetime. I hope that we will be able to get around obstacles when they come up."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
Reate simply studied her, "I'm a unicorn. I can get us out of anything, Lilith." He kept his expression as serious as possible for a few moments, then offered the slightest of smiles, "It'll be fine. Even if we have to figure a way around a cliff or two."
"Mmmm.... angry villagers included?" She couldn't help remembering him floundering around the pond after being turned into a frog or freaking out as a bat. A slight incline of the head. "I hope so."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
(Blob♥ And oh my god. He's just conveniently forgotten all of that. xD)
"Angry villagers?" He burst out laughing at that, "That's how I ended up here in the first place!" his laughter trailed off into something that might have been a slightly sinister smile, his voice lowering a bit, "I made sure those who survived didn't forget me."
(I just can't get over that guys face! Silly Reate, what if you turn into a frog or something?)
"Then we have something in common." She shook her head laughingly. Oh for goodness sake, the past was repeating itself. Or was it? The next words brought her fur rising higher. "[]Oh likewise.[/]" The words were said with a kind of deadened and grim satisfaction.[/]"
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
(He's very much hoping to not turn into a frog. Very much hoping. And the blob fish? It's adorable!)
He laughed, his tone turning to something that was more of a crisp, serious voice. "You're not planning on using my magic to get back at a few.... old friends are you? Just using the beach as an incentive?" He tipped his head at her, still smiling, "An 'There's the beach- oh by the way, see that town over there...' type of situation?" The smile widened a little bit, "Not saying I wouldn't do it. If given a good enough reason."
The doe tilted her head back and stared at the sky. She was amused by what he was saying, it appeared she'd actually found an ally here. "They're dead Reate." She smirked, eyebrows raised and glanced at him face still turned upward. "If I wish revenge on some one I take them out myself or at least make sure that they will never be a threat to me again." Her face softened. "Thank-you for the offer though. We can still cause some chaos if you wish. Just don't hit me with any magic."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
He laughed, flicking his tail as he shook his head, "No-no. I don't attack unless I know for a fact they wish myself or those I care for harm. Then I beat them into the ground and raze their villages." He said all of this with the straightest face possible, before bursting out laughing again. "Nah, in all seriousness I'm glad they will never be a threat again. But if anything comes up...I'll help, alright?"
"Mmmm.....good to know." His laugh was met by silence. Her dropped passed a whisper, so quite that it appeared her lips barely moved. "Some were friends once." The doe looked at him, dusty ears flicking. Voice rose once more to her normal pitch. "Thank-you."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
(Oh and him turning into a frog wouldn't be too complicated. He'd just make his home on her head. xD)
"That is the worst kind of enemy," he agreed in an equally quiet voice, "The ones closest to your heart." He went quiet, nodding at her words, "I'm not one of those friends, you know."
(That would lead to a lot of exasperation on her part and hissing lol)
She didn't trust him yet, probably wouldn't for a long time. He spoke the truth though and she did honestly think of him as a friend. She nodded, "I know."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
She poked him with her nose. "I know." She couldn't think of anything else to say and so poked him again. Didn't really know what she was trying to do at that point. "Ehh..."
(I can too! XD)
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
The doe stood there watching him growl at her. It seemed that whenever the old one's friends left the forest they came back fucked up. Demons, starvation, death, you name it.
"Shit happened?" It wasn't really a question, anyone could see something went wrong. Well, at least she knew it was nowhere near her fault this time.
She tilted her head, slipping a jug of water off a horn on to the ground in front of him. Before the unicorn could reply, she left. Going a good distance away and lay down, still able to see him if he needed help
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
( I say he needs help. He's saying no he does not. He's hard to break.)
He offered no reply to that, just staring after her with a dull fury that was redirected to the water jug. He considered throwing it, destroying it molecule by molecule. He considered shaping the water into a frozen point and plunging it through his heart. He did none of that though, just lashed the ground with his tail and rested his head on the earth.
(Lilith really has no clue what to do so she's treating him like a angry cat. Lil's the same way when she gets hurt, just like a donkey)
After a good ten or twenty minutes she was back. This time a small stack of blueberries were deposited by the water. Indicating the water jug with a jerk of the head she told him; "You should drink that." Once more the doe left before he could reply and returned to her outpost.
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
His amber eyes watched her set the berries down and then leave again and sighed at the words. Yeah...he probably should. He tried to shift his weight around to his hooves to stand, to make it seem like he would actually listen, only to fall back and rest his head on the ground again.
"I don't want it."
(She's using the pile useful things around them and hope they help themselves method and the they can't argue if you're not there to argue with philosophy)
This time it was only five minutes before Lilith was back, bringing damp moss to drop next to the other items. She decided that scraping moss off of the bridge with her teeth wasn't something she particularly liked, the taste was terrible and her teeth were greenish.
"Everything looks better on a full stomach, you should eat something."
To her experince that advice had proved true time and time again. She glanced over her shoulder as she left again. "Oh and don't break that jug, I want it back after you drink that water. I'll know if you pour it out."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
(Hahaha, he doesn't know how to handle that philosophy.)
He was about to argue again as she came back, only to be more and more perplexed as she set the moss down and left. He set his gaze on the jug, having already had half a mind to send it flying across the Forest...or breaking it instead of drinking from it- something he was probably going to do anyway. Not on purpose...
He sighed, reaching out to nibble on the moss and whatever berries he could reach without moving, though didn't make any sort of attempt to get up and try to get to the water jug. He just did what she said not to, slowly tipping the jug over with magic and licking whatever water up that ran toward him before it was absorbed back into the ground. Any other option was far too easy. He didn't want the water that badly.
She watched the unicorn from her outpost, it was hopped that he would do something about his condition. There was honestly nothing else she could do to help. It was known how fragile the will to live could be and even with the unicorn's belief in wills, the doe was still doubtful. Too many had died from less. Perhaps the only thing she could do now was prolong his death in any way possible.
He was eating, either that or nosing the ground. She decided it must be eating. Lilith almost rose when his attention turned to the water jug, there had been limited opportunities to gather supplies from the humans and if this one was broken....there might not be another one. The unicorn pushed it over, but at least he drank some of it.
With a sigh the doe raised her bulk again, joints stiff and cracking. She brought nothing this time, just pushed the food closer and picked up the water jug. One more trip to the idol and brimming with water again the jug was placed closer too. This time she only went as far as her rock circle before flopping down.
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
He watched with a bit of dismay at the water returning. He thought that she'd want to protect it from him- after all she'd just have to find another one. Granted he could just put it back together again...
Reate huffed at the situation, resting his head near the jug, mostly because he enjoyed the strange texture against his fur. Not so much when his horns grated against it though, he was not a fan of that. It felt like the grating feeling of when he forgot where his head was in relation to the boulders when he rested.
The unicorn mutt didn't move much after that, other than the occasional tail twitch as he stared off into space. His gaze meandered from Lil to the ground, then to the Forest around them before slowly moving back to rest on the doe.
"Were you ever human?" His voice was quiet at the question, his gaze shifting away to almost act like he hadn't said anything. He knew she was something else. Something different from a Forest deer, a demon or a god. Something. But didn't they start out as something else too? Or where they just...created like that?
She could feel the contours of the boulder under her chin, the not quite perfect texture but mostly the trapped warm radiating from it. The sunlight that touched this boulder had come 92,960,000 miles through the universe, only to disappear in a rock. Everyone-everything seemed so small compared to that journey.
And yet, that question didn't seem small. She exhaled, letting her mind remain focused on the rays warming her fur for just a little while longer. It didn't truly matter what he would think of her if he knew....or did it? It did but it didn't, too complicated to sort out. So the doe just answered the question. "No. Mmmm....things would have been easier if I had been though." At least she would have known just exactly what she was then, wouldn't have been so different. She shifted her head towards him. "Where you?"
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
He blinked at the question, sighing, "No..." He went silent at that, tipping his head to the jug, traveling his gaze across the various pores in its surface. "...it would have been easier if I was, though."
Another bit of silence, "I don't understand human mindsets...I try...I just...I don't understand some of it. Too complex, too different for me to wrap my mind around. Makes me feel incredibly stupid that I can't understand something that comes so easily to everyone else...here." He sighed again, growing more frustrated when he realized he was just venting his frustrations to her and working himself up in the process. His gaze became more apologetic, "Sorry..."
She listened. Understood every single word and empathized with him, though some of her problems had simply developed because she hadn't been around humans for a long time, she understood.
"Humans are...." Are what? How could they be described? They were seriously flawed, crazily complex but surprisingly simple beings. They were unfathomable. "hard to understand completely. Every single type of them are different from each other even in their way of thinking." Her head lifted up, tilting to the sky before looking back at Reate. "You are not stupid Reate. If you were to take everyone in this forest and shove them into a different world, they would all be stumbling. There is too much for anyone to understand everything completely. This world needs different ways of looking, different mindsets. I know there are things that you know that I don't understand. Nothing comes easy to everyone."
She rolled her shoulders, rested her head back on its rocky pillow and sighed. "Its alright Reate. You can tell me about anything you need to talk about. I don't mind."
—
Oh, I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.
"...but they all seem to have this unified understanding..." He muttered quietly, shifting his weight to lay down on his side, poking the jug with his nose horn, "...like...of things...morals, customs, right from wrong...no. Wait... Not even that." He gave a huff of annoyance, "That's not what I'm trying to say. It's like... I don't know..." He sighed, trying for a different approach, "It's like...when I came here, I felt like I was home at first. That all this was...the same with how my world worked. It's not. Not at all." A tail flick, "Now I just feel like I'm being humored. The stupid fool who's trying to fit in. But never will." He fell silent for a few moments before adding quietly, "I would go home. But I have none to go back too. This isn't home. I have nowhere to go, Lilith."
And then Lilith got eaten by
And Ebony got a new page!
Lol, Ebony you page stealer
And gosh that was funny. xD
I laughed so hard I couldn't
I found it hysterical too.

"Interesting..." he murmured, "...it's like...a holder or a summoner. Something that calls it, keeps it safe within its pages...yes?" he tipped his head at the other, not quite sure if he'd understand. Their magic and understanding of it was different- something that Reate forgot from time to time.
Retracking ♥
Mephistopheles nodded toward
"It's yours to keep if you wish," he said, leaning his weight against one of his hind hooves. "I have an assortment of spell books back home. A library." He wasn't sure if Reate knew what I library was. Sometimes he just wished he could drag otherworlders to his own home. They wouldn't handle it so well, though. Clearance. It was all about clearance.
"Peep" (thank-you)
@Mag Thanks for the
Thanks for the retrack!
@Ebony
"Don't mention it, Lil." the male answered with a half smile. Birds. He reached out to give the dove a poke with his nose.
@Charr
"Really?" She huffed. "For
(I couldn't respond to this
Reate went shamed face, pulling the water out of her fur with magic and sending it dissipating into the air.
(And I laughed so hard when I
The magic made her twitch but at least it got rid of the water.
Reate continued to cower-
After a few attempts to say
(Oh god, the visual...and
He gave a cheeky smile at her breaking out into laughter, flicking his tail at her but didn't put much effort behind it. "When did you want to go see the ocean Lilith?" He asked after a few moments.
(Can you imagine what she'd
She snapped at his tail playfully with a hiss. "When the weather gets warmer and Achilles and Aurik's littles are bigger. Soon though, I - " This would be embarssing. "I don't actually remember where the ocean is. Just heading in one direction would take too long. I've been gateway hoping trying to find a short cut to close by the ocean. Nearly fell off a few cliffs already."
(Honestly, these came to mind
He nodded at her words, realizing it would be a few months yet. Inwardly sighing, he fought back his disappointment as the male spoke up again, "Have you been to this place at least once before?"
(OMG those things! I just
She frowned noticing his disappointment immediately.
(xD there was a couple that
Memory becomes an unreliable thing when you've spent an eternity on your own.
(for some reason I
She wasn't sure about that.
(Blob fish are adorable.
Reate simply studied her, "I'm a unicorn. I can get us out of anything, Lilith." He kept his expression as serious as possible for a few moments, then offered the slightest of smiles, "It'll be fine. Even if we have to figure a way around a cliff or two."
(Yes) "Mmmm.... angry
"Mmmm.... angry villagers included?" She couldn't help remembering him floundering around the pond after being turned into a frog or freaking out as a bat. A slight incline of the head. "I hope so."
(Blob♥ And oh my god.
"Angry villagers?" He burst out laughing at that, "That's how I ended up here in the first place!" his laughter trailed off into something that might have been a slightly sinister smile, his voice lowering a bit, "I made sure those who survived didn't forget me."
(I just can't get over that
"Then we have something in common." She shook her head laughingly. Oh for goodness sake, the past was repeating itself. Or was it? The next words brought her fur rising higher. "[]Oh likewise.[/]" The words were said with a kind of deadened and grim satisfaction.[/]"
(He's very much hoping to not
He laughed, his tone turning to something that was more of a crisp, serious voice.
(Him turning into frog would
The doe tilted her head back and stared at the sky.
He laughed, flicking his tail
"Mmmm.....good to know." His
(Oh and him turning into a
"That is the worst kind of enemy," he agreed in an equally quiet voice, "The ones closest to your heart." He went quiet, nodding at her words, "I'm not one of those friends, you know."
(That would lead to a lot of
She didn't trust him yet, probably wouldn't for a long time. He spoke the truth though and she did honestly think of him as a friend. She nodded, "I know."
"I don't lie, Lilith." he
(I could just see that...and now I'm just gonna go off to my corner and die now.)
She poked him with her nose.
(I can too! XD)
The doe stood there watching
"Shit happened?" It wasn't really a question, anyone could see something went wrong. Well, at least she knew it was nowhere near her fault this time.
She tilted her head, slipping a jug of water off a horn on to the ground in front of him. Before the unicorn could reply, she left. Going a good distance away and lay down, still able to see him if he needed help
( I say he needs help. He's
(Lilith really has no clue
After a good ten or twenty minutes she was back. This time a small stack of blueberries were deposited by the water. Indicating the water jug with a jerk of the head she told him; "You should drink that." Once more the doe left before he could reply and returned to her outpost.
(Hahaha. Pfft Lil he's more
His amber eyes watched her set the berries down and then leave again and sighed at the words. Yeah...he probably should. He tried to shift his weight around to his hooves to stand, to make it seem like he would actually listen, only to fall back and rest his head on the ground again.
"I don't want it."
(She's using the pile useful
This time it was only five minutes before Lilith was back, bringing damp moss to drop next to the other items. She decided that scraping moss off of the bridge with her teeth wasn't something she particularly liked, the taste was terrible and her teeth were greenish.
"Everything looks better on a full stomach, you should eat something."
To her experince that advice had proved true time and time again. She glanced over her shoulder as she left again. "Oh and don't break that jug, I want it back after you drink that water. I'll know if you pour it out."
(Hahaha, he doesn't know how
He was about to argue again as she came back, only to be more and more perplexed as she set the moss down and left.
(I don't think anyone does
She watched the unicorn from her outpost, it was hopped that he would do something about his condition.
He watched with a bit of
Reate huffed at the situation, resting his head near the jug, mostly because he enjoyed the strange texture against his fur.
She could feel the contours
And yet, that question didn't seem small. She exhaled, letting her mind remain focused on the rays warming her fur for just a little while longer. It didn't truly matter what he would think of her if he knew....or did it? It did but it didn't, too complicated to sort out. So the doe just answered the question. "No. Mmmm....things would have been easier if I had been though." At least she would have known just exactly what she was then, wouldn't have been so different. She shifted her head towards him. "Where you?"
He blinked at the question,
Another bit of silence, "I don't understand human mindsets...I try...I just...I don't understand some of it.
Understood
"...but they all seem to have
