With the content look upon her wee face, she looked back out at the serenity that was the wood before her. " It's definitely bigger than many woods I have been to before... And calmer for the most part... "

"Well...I think you've found the right forest then," he murmured jokingly, unable to stop the smile that crossed his face. He gave a nod, the smile flickering, "It has its peaceful moments, definitely. Especially the birds, or the idol," he supplied a of examples.

She arched her neck, dislodging her birds and brought her nose down to her knee where she itched it, before emitting a soft squeak of a sneeze that jolted her body back. She muttered a soft apology with a meek smile before she straightened and the disgruntled birds gave her reprimanding pecks as they settle back in.

Nadezdha wandered up to her dear friend, and without question, bent her knees, cradling the sleeping body of Rhoda with her own. She sat vigil while her friend slept, piercing red eyes glaring out at any dangers that might pose harm to either of them.

With everything seeming to be in order, Asfaloth turned and lead the way. The pond wasn't far, but even as they got close he could hear the sounds of other deer roaming near it. The day had gotten hotter, and it wouldn't be much of a surprise if there were a mob of them strolling near the waters. He wondered if Artamir would be there, for the stag did like to submerge himself in the cooling substance.
While strolling along, his ears perked forward, then backward, then forward again. He was aware of the silence that grew between the doe and him as they traveled, and he wondered if he had caused some sort of discomfort for her. Bringing up a past such as that...well...it sounded disturbing.
Soon enough they were traversing the higher edge of the pond. The bank here was steep, and he wondered if there were some sort of beavers or otters hiding among the branches that looped their ways in and out of the mud.
Reaching the water itself wasn't as tricky as he thought it was going to be. Deer were lined among the trees within groups of friends. Some lay in the water, but were silent as he and the doe approached. Bending down, the longest tips of his black hair dipped into the water as he nuzzled the surface for the cool refreshment he'd come here for. Straightening himself once more, hair dripping a bit, he glanced at Nadz to see if any of her emotions would give away on her face.

Ever since I gained this look, anyway. I was a normal fawn for a few weeks... Something happened. Two big red deer found me and made me this way. I think I had a sister, but I don't remember clearly. Before I was a deer, I had an... ugly life. I think being such a graceful and pretty creature was to make up for my past." She looked down at her legs as she spoke, still admiring the scar-less fur after all these years. "I can't remember being a fawn very well, but I remember my previous life perfectly." She gazed up at Zash with a soft smile, offering her own question. "What about you? Have you always been here?"

She fell asleep soon, too, a content smile on her face as she wished her friend's pregnancy well, staring hard up at the sky for a moment as if that would help ensure the baby would be alright. Keeps herself in a light sleep, still trying to be alert for dangers and threats that could harm Rhoda and the fawn within her.

Nadezdha followed alone behind her new-found mentor with a placid, calm expression on her face. When he stopped to drink, she gave no hesitation and entered the water up to her belly. Being a dark pelted deer in the summer months was killer. She sighe softly as the water soothed her burning skin and fur, eyes rolling up into her head and her body slumping into the water a bit.
She eyed the stag as he raised his head from the water, and smirked a bit. "Need a haircut, nubs?" She teased with a giggle before submerging herself more. Her back turned towards him and she arched her neck to take a few sips of water to quench her thirst while her body cooled off.

Asfaloth's ears bent back as he looked at his long hair. It was true it had grown longer in the past couple of weeks and that, in the coming ones, he would no doubt need a haircut. A trim, at least.
"I'll have someone cut it, sooner or later,"he admitted, watching as the koi fish swam beneath the surface. He wasn't worried about it much. It wasn't like he was uptight and kept like Amnestria had been."You don't seem to need to worry much about hair with all of those feathers."
woke up notcing her friend asleep perked ears watching for any danger then leans down and nuzzles her sleeping friend then watchs the area and smiles looking down at her friend then looks over seeing a blue and red feather (maybe a macaw feather) puts neck out grabs it and sets it beside Nad then watchs the horizon

A soft smile settled on the face of the little bird, and she tilted her head mockingly, the hair tips dipping in the water an fanning out. "Oh, I don't?" She teased, poking her tongue out at him after.

The brute blinked, and his ears turned forward in interest. Nadezdha looked unique and very— Well, she was gorgeous, really. Her eyes stood out the most, he thought, as well as her lips. Finding himself staring, the Sentinel looked away, clearing his throat."I stand corrected, it seems."His pale cheeks turned a slight shade of pink in embarrassment.
Collecting himself, the sentinel turned and walked out of the water. The slightly longer fur near his ankles dripping as he did so. His black cloven hooves sunk lightly in the mud, and he grimaced inwardly. Had he been human, the mud would have been uncomfortable and he wouldn't have been pleased in slightest. It was like quicksand here, and he brought himself upward and out of the slick material, turning around only when he'd reached the grass and solid ground.
A part of him felt a little rude, but not towards the doe before him. It was toward Dahlia, his mate, whom he hadn't seen in a while. In truth, he wondered where she had gone. The dragon doe was carrying their child, their fawn, and as a first time father, Asfaloth could quickly delve into a worrisome state. He just had to keep telling himself that she was all right and that she could take care of herself.
But there was still that small chance that something ugly could happen. It was that chance that sent his heart plummeting to his stomach.
I should also mention that Nunu is pregnant (the mini she sitting next to right now.) I still have yet to create a pregnancy blog, but I'll need all the help I can get. So I was wondering if you would like to be a fawn player for Nu's child? <3 You can always decline but I would really appreciate it in advance. She spoke with confidence, even though she knew not what made his eyes look so worried and his face the slightest upset. "Whatever it is, I am sure things will be alright. You don't seem like the kind of guy who will let things go wrong, if he can help it." The feathers now on either side of her head behind her ears twitched and fidgeted a bit, but it was just to loose flies that had begun nibbling on the rims of her ears. She stood back, one foot slightly raised, assessing whether her attempt at comforting words had done any good.

When she noticed her friend was asleep she drifted off as well, snuggling up to her friend's side. Her wolf-like tail wiggled happily as she felt the familiar warmth and comfort of the pregnant doe beside her sooth her into sleep.

How could I forget?"Shaking his head with a silent chuckle, the Sentinel breathed in some of the fresh forest air."I haven't seen her in a while. Last time we were together, it was here. With all of these new beasts running about, well, it tends to worry me."
He was shaking his head by the end of her question, "No, I haven't always been here. I just...woke up here one day. I was originally a human...but when I died, I came here..." he shrugged, "I can still go back from time to time...I just prefer it here where I'm not considered dead, I guess. Plus there holds a lot of memories..."

The blue critter slunk a bit closer, worry lancing across the planes of their face, "...is okay, Missus? Is okay...? Big teeth monsters not hurt?"

The doe did not mind, not one bit, and enjoyed the nap she was able to share with her friend. For once she had good dreams, instead of a black void that she witnessed when sleeping alone. Nadezdha was happy and content curled up with Rhoda, and was able to sleep easy.

The wolf-deer raised her face, the canidae features that had overcome her ungulate ones relaxing when she sensed this deer meant no harm to her. Her face relaxed back into a more deer-like appearance, and she smiled softly. Her body was weak, but it was recovering, at least. "Big teeth monsters hurt, but is okay. I won't die." She tried mimicking the other deer's speech pattern, and smiled a bit more to show she meant no offense by it.

The doe did not mind, not one bit, and enjoyed the nap she was able to share with her friend. For once she had good dreams, instead of a black void that she witnessed when sleeping alone. Nadezdha was happy and content curled up with Rhoda, and was able to sleep easy.

And maybe she's left the forest to go somewhere safer, if she's like you in worrying about these new predators running around." The doe commented, trying to be reassuring. She offered a soft smile before she daintily shook off, lowering the hoof she'd raised to test her effectiveness at comforting her newfound friend.

The wolf-deer raised her face, the canidae features that had overcome her ungulate ones relaxing when she sensed this deer meant no harm to her. Her face relaxed back into a more deer-like appearance, and she smiled softly. Her body was weak, but it was recovering, at least. "Big teeth monsters hurt, but is okay. I won't die." She tried mimicking the other deer's speech pattern, and smiled a bit more to show she meant no offense by it.
