Chapter 6 - Journeys End

As I leave the room of energy I feel a sudden freezing chill overcome
me, It seems I'm much closer to my goal than I would have expected.
It seems the traveller is also here still, though my loner nature has
made me travel on my own up till this point I don't feel right letting this
person brave the dangers of this harsh cold on his own so I decide to
stick close to this person and keep them warm as well as myself, we
both climb up this mountainous range in search of the mountain of
lights peak.

After some time we come to an open field with some stone boxes
littering the landscape, suddenly I feel a sense of dread and after we
run over and into one of the nearby boxes my fears are confermed,
this place is heavy with stone dragons. The traveller and I rush from
box to box, waiting to make sure the dragons don't see us. two boxes
before our escape into some ruins, the traveller seems to stay inside,
unsure of when to move, so I take charge and when the moment
strikes I rush across the field with the traveller close behind.

Thankfully we both make it through into the ruins, it seems to be a bit
of a cliffside ruin which is very dangerous on its own but this one has
one heck of a draft, one that will blow you right off the mountain. We
both try and brave the winds, our scarfs being torn apart from the
harsh winds as we try and find cover when the wind blows to heavily.
We finally make it past and in the distance we see the mountains light
ahead we still have a quite a climb left but we trudge on through the
snow as the weather gets far worse.

The blizzard is so thick we can barely see and move, frozen down to
our cores we keep moving, though slowly we my minds starting to
think back to that picture in the vision the one with the two red cloaked
travellers falling before the mountain, a fear grips me as I realize this
could be the place where our lives may end. Beside me the traveller
falls, unable to move as his life slowly drains from his body, I try to get
him up, but my body seizes and collapses right beside him. No no no! I
can't die here I'm to close to my goal I refuse to die here!

As my life slowly drains away and the cold seeps into my frozen body I
guess something heard my thoughts and took mercy on me and my
travelling companion. Suddenly a warmth flows through my body and
a massive rush of energy fills my being, its overwhelming as I feel my
body lift up and fly through the air at a great speed my body Glowing
as bright as the sun as I rush towards the peak and break through the
clouds, above them is a place so very beautiful its hard to find a single
word to express it.

I fly through the mountain tops watching the flowing waterfalls and
flying through some ruins poking out the tops of the peaks beside me
are some of the snake cloth creatures flying beside me all heading
towards the light at the top, I spy the traveller rushing past as I stop on
one of the peaks to admire the view, I then leap up and fly onward,
floating freely between all that there is to see including the lovely
rainbows that litter this area.

At least i reach an open point in the mountains peak and see ahead a
room where the light resides I dance around happy having reached my
destination and wait to see if the traveller was behind me or not, after
some time I figure he must have already gone on ahead so I move on
alone hoping if he has not arrived that he will soon and safely.
This journey was long and harsh but I reached its end, sadly the one I
was searching for along the way never showed up, perhaps though
she is waiting for me inside or perhaps there is another journey to be
had where we will finally meet and share the journey together. As I
walk towards the light I wonder if I am still alive or perhaps I am dead,
my body lying in the snow below with the traveller.

Whatever has happend, I feel alive reguardless I don't plan for this to
be my last journey, alive or dead I will keep searching for her, the one
I love, I know shes must also be looking for me too and I will find her..

no matter what.
