/I'm a creature of deception. I am darkness, passing off as light; evil wearing the mask of goodness. Fear what you can never understand./

Barn owl/deer: primarily takes the form of a barn owl, but also spends a great deal of time as a cervine with a bird's head.
Her eyes are soulless and black, staring out at the world with a certain cruel indifference. Her ghostly white face is emotionless, unreadable: very much a mask, hiding her callous soul, her careless thoughts.
Black, twisting antlers sprout from her slender skull, and hanging daintily within their tendreled curves lie six lanterns, glowing brightly.
She serves as a guide for the unknowing and unwary, for wanderers, for lost souls.
But her methods are questionable, and she herself is prone to savagery; dual personalities, the savior and the villain, both.
(But she herself was always the villain. Her more benevolent traits were only recently acquired, out of necessity. The Winter Spirit, Honest, was once this angel of mercy. But corruption slowly drove her insane; the lost souls and spirits were ugly vile liars, nothing more.)

Friend of Oiseau, the creature marked by mirroring mimicry, spritely trickery. She herself suffers insecurities. Lost and alone, she finds solace only amongst the birds, the songbirds, and the raptors. Beauty, and power.
Oiseau wants to hide the monster inside her soul .. the nameless fiend who seeks to destroy everything. The cruelest fiend lies within herself, but she's afraid to let it out, for how could she ever control such a force?
Oiseau suspects her darker nature, and seeks to hide it behind her mask, such that none may know of it.. She is truly kindhearted and benevolent, despite appearances.
Lumiere knows fully well that she's a savage fiend, and accepts this -- and hides this fact from the world so as to prolong her own trickery. It's easiest to get away with her cruelities in this fashion. She intentionally balances her dark nature with an illuminating appearance.
