30 November 2008. 336th day. Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent. Winter Solstice approaching in T-Minus 19 days, 18 hours, 46 minutes, 18 seconds.
My second day in the forest was as fun as the first. I now possess an alteration to my visage, and I absolutely adore it. As I've been exploring about the forest, several members of the native fauna have approached me. One specific instance of this was when my human wanted me to come close to her for her to take pictures. A strange dark deer felt the desire to socialize with me, though I tried to tell the deer I was in the middle of something. The deer took quite a fondness to me, none-the-less.
After this tedious image capture, I ran about for a while, exploring the nooks and crannies of the forest that my previous small form could not reach or ascend. I ended my gallivanting at the edge of pond and napped for a bit. A little while later I opened my eye and saw that my pelt was a dark blue, my quiet whistling mask was changed into purple-hued hands over my eyes, and my antlers were now much heavier and sharper, curling under my ears and branching out into thin picks. The same deer made it a mission to modify my visage into his or her image. I was so astounded by my change in appearances I accidentally made it apparent that I was awake, but I stayed as still as possible. It didn't fool the deer. I got up after that and walked around with the mystery deer, partaking in his or her version of "fun."
We recieved very interesting and curious looks from the passers-by, mainly fawns who found it amusing.
When it was time to say goodbye, I trotted to the perch on the Playground, a place I found to be one of the highest points in the forest. It makes stargazing easier for me. And the stars themselves seemed to whisk me off into the abyss of dreams that night, as I danced with the memories of the day gone by.
