Good luck with that, I´m curious to see what you end up making! Felting is fun when you get a hang of it..
Hmm, for a tip, you might want to buy some cheap cotton to make core for your felting if you´re making figures/plushies, (of a piece of plastic foam) so you save a lot of wool when you make only the top layers from it and it also makes things a lot sturdier. Cotton felts pretty good, you can almost sculpt with it.
Also, the needles break very easily (maybe just by twisting it a bit wrong way), so if you´re using pipecleaner/wire or something you need to be very careful with it. There´s a difference in some needles too, basically there are rougher ones and finer ones, basically thinner with more little holes in them. It´s a bit hard to explain, but you can probably see the difference yourself.
Hope this helped. Don´t really know much of doing something else than a plushie, so can´t really advice with those.
