I'd guess they would say we could set this world ablaze
Please, please take my hand
Please take my soul to rest
So we can always be around
It is hard to see
Through all the haze at the top of the trees
Hold my head on stable ground
Watch as the earth falls all around
Please, please take my hand
Please take my soul to rest
So we can always be around
Faltering footsteps
Dead end path
All that I need is this wise mans staff
Encased in crystal he leads the way
I guess they'd say we could set the world ablaze
Please, please take my hand
Please take my soul to rest
So we can always be around
I guess they would say we can set the world ablaze
Hold my head on stable ground
Watch as the earth falls all around
Take my black soul
Arrive in the fires that burn my skin
Guide my eyes all through this maze
I guess they'd say we could set the world ablaze
All that I have seen
Standing on the edge
The foot of precipice
Floating in the sea
Past the king of swords
Quickly to the shore
The last baron
The last baron
Ghost of man surrounds me in my slumber
I have no fear as your wing is my shelter
Cyanide he craves
Coursing through his veins
Providing him with strength
To see this to the end
Afraid of psychic eyes
Faith in mystic power
The last baron
The last baron
Will he save me?
Will he save me?
I was standing staring at the world
And I can't see it
I was standing staring at the world
I still can't see it
BARON FAUST OF IRELAND!
Name in this life: George "Faust" Rowanelm
Name in past life: Baron Faust O' Sullivan
Title: The Last Baron
Age in this life: Fawn
Age in past life: Died at age 30
Species: Irish Elk
Sex: Stag/fawn
Sexual Orientation: He only goes for does
Name Origin: Faust's name is from a myth about a man who sold his soul to Satan much like this Faust. His last name in his first life is my family's surname, for we are decended from the Irish Celts who lived in Cork County. His tale is based on my family's history
History: Faust was born in the late sixteenth century Ireland, County Cork to be exact. He was part of the O' Sullivan herd/tribe, and his father was the lead stag of the herd. When Faust was born, he was thought to be stillborn, because he did not move for one whole day after he was born. His reluctant father asked the clan's culler to do away with him; he did not think Faust would survive. As soon as the culler (Darty) came over to the fawn to murder him with his antlers of horror, Faust miraculously jumped to life and ran away from Darty as fast as his little legs could carry him.
Faust O' Sullivan might have been a runt as a fawn, but by the time he was fifteen in elk years, he stood over everyone in the herd. He grew athletic and strong as he got older, and his fine blue hair grew long. The does in the nearby herds loved his hair so much that they braided it and put beads in it, and they called the young stag their champion. When he turned twenty, his father gave him some of the land he owned and a full suit of armor. Now Faust was one of the six barons of the Elks in County Cork.
When Faust was twenty-one, a war broke out in their home between Irish Elk and British Elk. It was a gorey, ugly, ruthless war which lasted nine horrid years. The war picked of all of the baron and most of the champions except Baron Faust O' Sullivan. The British Elk knew it was the O' Sullivans that caused most of the trouble, the blue-pelted, armored warrior in particular, so they plotted to pick them off as soon as possible. Word of their plans got around and The Last Baron coralled his family into his castle so that no harm could fall upon them as long as HE was there.
The enemies broke into Faust's castle and began a bloodbath that remains to this day an important part of Elk History. Ten British Elk gathered about Faust in the long corridor and began to attack him. Despite the biting, reering, kicking, and trampling, Faust lived on, but barely. After trying his best to defend himself, Faust fell wounded to the floor. The Last Baron had fallen.
The spirit of Faust lived on in the Endless Forest (he was mysteriously buried there) and communicated with Rhiannon the Ghostwhisperer. All of these years, Faust wanted to return to life, but it was Rhiannon who told him what to do to return to life. He went to speak to the Devil on a crossroad outside of the Forest; they discussed a propasition. Faust would be born again as a fawn named George, but when George died, Faust's soul would belong to the Devil.
Needless to say, The Last Baron accepted the terms and became George "Faust" Rowanelm.
((This is a satire of the Nine Year War between The O' Sullivan tribe of County Cork and the English Forces. Faust was added out of interest.))
