[The End] - Blog Repost

Tyerk stirred in his rest, nestled in the warm sun atop his favorite slab, curled in his claimed bed of soft, green lichen. He wasn't asleep, though his eyes were closed. His mind was drifting, thoughts flowing and bobbing within his head- complicated thoughts that were giving him a headache. Does he really want to raise fawns? Could he bare to see how they would come into the world, would it mean Revthyr suffering? A macabre image of his young ward torn open send a quake over his body.

(More inside.)

[=#D1C64B][i]My body is in a constant, dull ache.. I can't stop trembling..
Now, as I rest, the rain is pouring over my spent body, washing away my weariness, cleansing my mind of fright, of worry..
The sound of the drops hitting my trumpet-horns pings in my ears, like a music box playing too fast. It's a pleasant sound, really..
*
*
Only last night I fell into a cloud of terror as the fog closed in on the Forest.. the sun was choked out and the trees, the grass, my flowers.. all lost their luster, their color, and were replaced with rolling sheets of dense white and unsettling sounds..
I don't think I've ever been so afraid in the span of my existence.. if I have, I have no memory of it..
*
That evening started with my initial reaction.. I couldn't find the color of the sun in my flowers and I whispered to them, cried to them..
*
They wouldn't bob or sway.. or whisper back.. what little I had for my own in the Forest had become lifeless and silent to me.
I couldn't feel content or settled in their company.. and the fog loomed..
*
Soon enough, I was approached by a face I recognized: the doe, Tally. I'm not sure if she was aware at first of the effect that the weather was having on me.
When she strayed, I followed, calmly at first..
*
But horror was creeping its way deeper into my belly.. I walked faster, more erratically..
I hugged close to her body, to trees, backing myself to them and shrinking away as far as I could. I cried and cried.. and ran, hiding, and cowering, until my body was begging me to rest..
*
I'm ashamed of my behavior.. but I.. I-I lost control..
*
She left, finally..
*
*
*
And I ran..
I ran and ran.. I bellowed to the wind that carried those sickly clouds towards me and ran ever more.. I lost my way from my patch of gray, lifeless friends more than once.. I remember at one point sleeping near fallen logs, another time under the Oak..

The sunlight seeps through the canopy of the forest as I rest, now. Since the day I awoke in the forest, it's been endlessly bright and warm. I have no complaint, but it would be nice to see a change of weather for once.. I've always wondered what rain should feel like.

Some questions! :(

1) What determines how/when candlers are lit?

2) I can't seem to turn quickly while galloping and this doesn't allow me to "aim" when flying! I can only run in a straight line before dropping. Turns are slow.. why?

3) What do other players see when you run around as a "genderless" avatar?

also..

Holding CTRL before taking a screen shot will get rid of the black border and command bar.
You can get rid of the glow by bumping nature detail down a notch.

A hint..

If you ever get tired of that glow, and still want to lay as annoyingly close as possible to someone, if you bump the Nature Detail down a notch(just to the point where the pond no longer reflects), the golden glow will go away. Smiling

I figured this out several days ago, just thought I'd share~
