Storm's Journal Entry #3

She followed the male and all the other fawns through the forest as a soft breeze filled the area and the tall grass swayed back and forth ever so slowly. You would think that the sun would not shine through the think canopy, but that day it did. And that made the day even better at the Play Ground.
While everyone ran and jumped on and to other rocks I observed the male until he disappeared in the tall grass. "Hello. Whats your name?" a voice behind me was sweet and close. I turned around to the male and said; "My name is Storm. And yours?" she says politely, yet shy.

"Sabastain. What a lovely name you have Storm." he bows and when he lifts his head up his pale face was blushing. I couldnt help but giggle. We both started to laugh when we both started to run across the forest happily. "Wanna race?" I smerk. "Of course. Beat you to the Pond!" Sabastain says out loud. "Its on!" I yell and run before he even said to say go. "Cannon ball!" we both yell and jump into the pond. "Its a tie!" I yell. "No I won!" Sabastain yells. "No we tied!" we splashed and played for hours until we heard yelps, yowls, and screaming from our west. "Whats that!?" Sabastain screams. "I think its the others!" I say while pointing a hoof to the direction of the herd running as fast as they could. A gun shot yowled through the air as it barely got my head. "Whats was that!?" "Run!" I cried and we followed the herd.

That day was the worst day of my life..

My herd leader was shot dead by a human hunter. And was replaced with my father...

My Mother told me about the weird humans coming to the forest a killing all the deer in sight.

As I grew older I split away from the herd. Said good bye to my parents. Left Sabastian, and ventured away.

Storm's Journal Entry #2

Storm woke up to the bright sunlight, shining down on her dappled brown coat. She started to slowly take her first steps, and started to walk to the other Fawns that were near her.

She watches curiously. She thought in her head, who are they? "They are the other Fawns young one." Storms mother says happily. Nodding Storm looks back at the other Fawns, watching them eat grass and mushrooms, and leap and play. "Yours tempted to. Go ahead and play. But be back when you see the sun go down. Have fun little Tornado." Storm's mother said, nudging her to the Fawns. "Mind if Storm comes to play little ones?" Storm's mother says to the Fawns. The Fawns shake their heads, saying she is allowed to come and join. "Have fun my Tornado!" her mother says, while walking back to her mate. Storm walked up to the Fawns smelling them making sure theres nothing wrong...

"Hey! Why is your pelt so dark!?" one small Fawn says. "Cause its my pelt, why is your so light?" Storm says sternly. The Fawn turned silent. "Come on, lets go to the Great Rocks and play!" A small male says. He does not yet have antlers growing. But Storm already had her first crush, at only 5 months old..

Storm's Journal Entry #1

The swift bright blue sky, could not be seen under the forest canopy. A fawn was being born on that very day.

The tiny fawn sneezes loudly, and tries to stand up, but her tiny trembling legs were to weak, she fell in a pile of soft Autumn leaves. It was already starting to snow, and her Mother and Father curled around their fawn so she would not freeze. That tiny fawn sniffled as a flicker of sunlight touched her nose. She wanted to stand up, and now. Her front knees in the decaying soil, and slowly getting up. She, still shaking, but still standing. The next step, take a step. It felt like that hardest thing on Earth, but... She picked up her front right hoof, and starting taking her first steps. Her Mother smiled happily in the fawn's first steps. The tiny fawn looked at her parents, and drew a smile across her face, and snuggled with them once again. And they slept through the long Winter night, keeping each others warmth.
