feel, sense . The sun shimmered down a few of its rays, and she felt them on her eyelashes. Lighter than dust. And yet the sun, not living, had heat. Like an animal. Like her, and like the stag next to her. The crying idol far behind them lived. The water it gives, breathes. It is collected, to give life to the scaly sisters and brothers that dwell within it. To be used, and absorbed by dry tongues...
This was her forest...
Jyuniper... Jyuniper.. Jyuniper.... she spoke the words softly in her mind, until the name became a word, and the word became letters, and the letters became sounds, and the sounds became meaningless. Jyuniper, was Mystress. And Mystress was Jyuniper. They shared the same body, but not the same spirit. They were exactly the same, and yet not.
I am here dear one. a voice came from behind them. It was soft, and mellow, like a distant cathedral bell. It was in no way any shock to Yorres, but Mystress couldn't believe her eyes. Yorres bowed slowly and genuinely. This was not a deer. It was a human. A woman.
