Vernon was once a young human boy, freckled and small. He lived during the height of WWII in the suburbs a large, yet negligible (to this world) city. Too small and young to fight, Vernon had to find his own way to help in the war effort. He did so by
collecting scrap metal (even thought it was more of a morale-booster than helpful. In an unfortunate incident, the young man got lost in the maze of a junkyard (looking for scrap bits, of course) and wound up here. He is yet unsure of how to get home, but is still trying to collect all the metal he can to take with him when he does. (Right now, I'm planning he'll have the same ability to go home that Ikoll does).
