Creatures for This Group and The Devil's Creed

The Calantrial Extraxi (A combinatin of 2 names suggested by a couple friends) is what you could or would consider to be the Horse of Hell. It is based off a Fu Dog/Fu Creature/Demon and has aspects of a Human in it. These creatures are measured in height much like horses as they are considered to be a sub-species that has evolved from the Equine family order. On average a Calantrial can stand up to 16-18 hands, weighing up to 2500lbs. and are extremely muscled and capable of carrying most Aviur Demons on their backs. There are known cases where these creatures can get upwards to 20+ hands in height and weigh as much as 3000lbs. if not more.

The Calantrial are known for having unique faces, the upper portion of their face often resembles that of a human skull while the bottom jaw is often more dragon like in structure. Though there are rare cases where the upper skull will look more like a dragon or any other species that one can think of. They have a variety of horn structures, large ears on their heads and males generally have a set of four tusks… two on the upper jaw and two on the lower.

Calantrial have a thick head of hair that starts from the base of their neck/back of their head and forms a large mane around their necks. Fur is found on the shoulders but ends shortly above where the elbow is where fur turns into thick scales that travel down to just where the ankle is where fur once again forms up. Their backs are entirely scaled and this carries down to their rumps but it ends just above the calf of the legs. Fur loops around their hind legs and they have extremely large, furry tails.

Another Calantrial, this one is what you could or would consider a Guardian class. The Calantrial come in 3 classes, Guardians, Mounts and Workers. While most Calantrial LOOK the same each one is slightly different due to the jobs that they are classed with doing.

Calantrial’s in generally are very shaggy creatures, and as displayed above this is generally how most Calantrial’s that are bred look before they are trained to be within a specific class. Calantrial’s have very thick, very long manes around their heads and necks that carries down to their chest and backs which covers most of their scales. The fur on their stomachs is very long and flowing as well as all of the rest of their fur.

Guardians are never trimmed of this fur, they are allowed to have the long, natural hair of the species as many aviur demons find the fur to be extremely beautiful when it is on the creatures themselves. While the fur is a task to tend to as most spend half a day caring for them the Calantrial’s that are Guardians and Guard ‘dogs’ so to say are extremely loyal and fiercely protective of their masters.

The Mount Class are generally trimmed to have no fur on their backs and very short, manageable hair on their bodies. This makes it easier to ride them and easier to get the reigns and bridles on as well. It also helps with walking through Hell itself as the fur can catch fire if it is too long.

The Working class is generally trimmed to have very short, very FINE fur on their bodies to the point where in some cases they look ‘bald’ in a sense. This is to prevent the long hair from getting dirtied up constantly as well as a means to help with keeping it out of the way while the creatures work.

A working Calantrial is known for being large and bulky, their fur is generally trimmed and shaved off to show the full extent of how the scales form. Working Calantrial’s generally have more defined ‘chin points’ which can be used to help plow land and to dig into the rocky walls of Hell.

This is Thanatos, or as I have nicknamed him Mr. Fluffykin's. He stands at about 6'7 in height at the shoulder and he is a gift from Valturez to Meph since well the King for one has a big thing for the other and two he felt it would be 'helpful' for Meph to have a giant Fu Dog/Demonic Creature of Hell by his side as a guardian.

These creatures are created for The Devil's Creed and are called the Calantrial Extraxi (Two names combined into one by a couple friends who helped come up with the name), they are more commonly known as the Horses of Hell despite their more Fu Lion/Fu Dog appearance.

Anyway, a bit of a gift for my beloved Necro... because she deserves something... and well so does Meph BC He needs a big, fluffy and cuddly monster that will rip anything apart that touches him.

Another Calantrial Extraxi, this one is named Balthazar and he was the request of ~LadyHart because she's awesome and these things are quite fun to draw.

After 5 pictures I have improved greatly on these critters... and needless to say, I am in love with both Thanatos and Balthazar's overall designs.

ALL of the are males of the Species, though the next one I'm going to do is going to be a female and she's going to be for Quad :3

Because these guys are going

Because these guys are going to be an open species you are more than welcome to take your hand at creating one once I get the group on DA fully set up and running :3

This is my first shot at the 'females' and as it shows the Females do differ slightly from the males in terms of facial structure. This lovely lady (Somnilux) was done for Quad on here :3 And as per request was actually designed with a more animal skull over the Human skulls I've been drawing them with.

The main difference between Males and Females is that Males have horns/spines on their lower jaws where as the females have the Frills and large 'plates' on their lower jaws and lack the tusks/fangs that the males have.
