Standing beside the lake

Well... I felt myself a bit artistic and I decided to write a poem. I don't know, is it good or anything, but I wish you like it... And I think I have to own this to my dearest person in my world, and he is Bracca... * Blush. *

I'm standing beside the lake,
watching how the others have fun.
They're so happy, I think,
and that is so beautiful to watch.

I'm standing beside the lake,
listening to the sing of the birds.
They're so happy, I think,
and that is so beautiful to hear.

I'm standing beside the lake,
watching you, my dear,
We're so happy together, I think,
and that's the most beautiful thing in the world.

Kelvana & Kitiri's Bio

Decided I may as well jump on the bio bandwagon here.......

Kelvana

Stag

Just a fun loving guy who enjoys goofing around with friends as well as helping his fellow deer. To him nothing is better than making others happy. Adores fawns and dance parties. Prefers to be in small to medium groups, he may join a group if he knows some of the deer though he may linger on the outskirts for a bit to see if he's welcome. If he finds himself on his own he'll usually go for a run, rest for a bit, then run again till he either gets bored or finds a new friend. He runs pretty fast which makes it difficult to lead or follow other deer, so if you see him do a sort of run-trot-run-trot....combo he's just trying keep pace. He's generally upbeat and friendly, if you see him in the forest feel free to introduce yourself!

Location: When not with friends or running he can most likely be found near the pond (likes to hide in the willows), though he makes occasional trips to the tree and playground.

Appearance: See pic^....though if he ends up with something he likes at the end of a spell or twin/clone party he may keep it for a few days.

Kitiri

Doe

More quiet and solitary than Kelvana, Kitiri prefers not to be in a group with more than three other deer. Though as a fawn she disdained running (she was trying to be 'sophisticated' and thought it undignified) she has since pulled her nose down from the air and become more down to earth and can act as silly as the next deer. Like Kelvana she has a soft spot for fawns and often finds herself trailed by two or three.

Magnet: I have some screenshots to post from last night and today. Then Scape and I are going to announce something that Pega (our human) has been debating on whether or not to keep secret. But frankly, she hates keeping secrets, so we're finally telling. But not yet. That's for later.

Last night I got to hang out with Ammy again. Hadn't been in the Forest at the same time for awhile. =] And it was a good thing Ammy left not long after Sluggs's glitching. This would've freaked her out:

XD

Teamwork?

And today, I awoke to find Walter being harassed by SS. =/ He managed to avoid that RD by sitting on the lake, but when Complex switched in, SS turned their attention to harassing her. I tried my best to defend her (endless devout pelting isn't a good tactic anymore it seems), but it took joining a group of deer for SS to stop. But they kept being an annoyance via casting unwanted spells. This continued when I met Stumps. But finally, SS left the Forest. Only, I swear I saw their picto turn into another before it disappeared...

I was helping Stumps get his set, and he was helping me with mine (you lose it when you get the endless devout pelt casting). After successfully getting our sets, I turned a mushroom tree into a "demon tree".

X]

(Pega: Did Magnet start "spazzing" in the mushroom tree? Cuz at one point when I hit the eat mushroom button, he just started turning left and right back and forth really fast. 8O Freaked me out...)

Developers and the community make a great team.

(I wasn't sure where exactly to post this. I looked on the forums a bit trying to find the right category for it but in the end, I thought it would be better to just post this topic here since my opinion is based on my experiences with The Endless Forest.)

I want to take a moment to step out of my pelt and drop the role as 'Kumiko', a playful deer, and take a second to give a pat on the back to Auriea and Michaël- as well as the whole Endless Forest community. Why? Because based on the bit I've played the game, I feel that they're achieving their goal of creating "elegant and emotionally rich interactive entertainment" but I feel that they couldn't do it alone. At least not with Endless Forest.

Don't get me wrong, guys, I'm not saying that your other games aren't good or anything like that, but I feel that part of the reason why Endless Forest has such an emotional appeal to it is because of how the community has reacted to it.

When I first started playing Endless Forest over a month ago, I didn't really care too much about other deer. Sure, I didn't want to come off being a jerk, but at the same time, I really wasn't too concerned with trying to make people remember me. Then this community site went public and I was able to read the biographies that people were writing and people's thoughts, I started to care. People were beginning to define themselves as individuals other than has deer #whatever with 'this symbol'. They had names...They had families and relationships...They had personalities that I didn't notice before.
