"Why is a flower so complicated?..." Taint queries, her eyes perched upon a flower, a bumblebee edging its way across the nectar and pollens with its little feet that weren't all they seemed. Little yellows upon its legs, sacks full of...what?
Tilt of the head, I wonder why...how, I mean...what do they carry it in? She looks offendedly at the little bug, an eyebrow raised in her mind. You have no sack, no web, nothing holding it in...maybe if I look more closely... Taint peered closer to the little bumblebee, and it flew away. "Pah," she said, "Bumblebugs...mmmphhhrrr..." Her gaze settles upon the stem of the flower once more.
The dew of the evening had settled upon the stem in little pockets, much like the bumblebug of early. "Tell me, little bumblebug's keeper..." she spoke to the flower, inquisitive, sly, "...why does the dew still stick to your stem?" Taking one hoove, she gently touched at the side of the flower. The fireflies shined, and it didn't do much good, Taint had more of a human's eyesight. But then, she saw the strangest thing. Little spikes, holding the little water bubblies in place. "Is that so...?"
How could this be...? she thought, and shook her head, cringing her nose at the sting of the icy night. The querious forest did not beg to differ at the difference between a night in the cold and that in the warmth. The flowers kept warm in the frostbitten cold, and so did the precious little snow that ever doth fell upon it. It was pointless for her to query any longer.

sorry for the wait, lack of inspiration lately ^^;

It was a long winter. Not very harsh, but long. Food was a little scarce, it was a little too cold to do much. Snow blanketed the area, making it fun for little kittens to play hide and seek. It was a typical winter, not horribly cold, not unusually warm. Something the band of odd rabbits were used to. But the cold didn't seem to make the homesickness any better.
It was near the end of winter, the snow was just starting to melt, and the smallest of buds were starting to pop out of the tips of tree branches. Fulu and Zilant decided to take a walk, considering it was much warmer that day than usual. They decided to take advantage of it.
The black splotched doe looked around, gazing at the dripping icicles and the bent brown grasses appearing in patches all around. She smiled. It was almost time to go home again. She looked to the black and white rabbit next to her. "Well... Almost time, isn't it? Clock said we would go home when the snow melts."
Zilant nodded, smirking. "But I have to wonder, does the snow have to melt completely, or does it just have to start?"
Fulu giggled, "Who knows, he could wake us up at the crack of dawn tomorrow and we wouldn't even know why."
The two walked on for a little while. For a few minutes, the two only glanced at each other and smiled. Zilant finally spoke up, "So... you really wanna do this..."
Fulu nodded, letting her black-tipped ears flop about. "Yep."
"You know, Clock said this wasn't the only trip we would be making."
"I know that."
"So... Wouldn't we miss something? A whole adventure just..." He glanced to the side for a moment. "I mean... you know..."

Dream dream twitter, the sparklies of look where what huh that noise. Light, little light it's all red open oh gosh the day has passed! Aye...eyes groggy and resting this birdly twittering of the Gods "la-yee-yah" I hear it cannot tune out the back of my mind...ugh...
...
Eyes watery bones ache for sleep but a twitch a twitter in my body I cannot go back to sleep I must awaken for what what to do...beasts AHH the flush of heat it is too hot hear on the soil but my hooves seem frostbitten and I hunger ache. Think no n...
Taint struggles to ache upwards. Her mind spirals out of control, the leaf swirling to the windless day with no desire but to fall again, but alas, Taint is not a leaf, and must rise up to feed herself and water her deerish maw. Water drips and she wipes it off on her breast, which furrily soaks up the droplets. She looks out.
The hours pass in a moment and she cannot think, every moment is eternal and it is nothing, and no webs can be weaved nor may prey be caught. She is dangling at the strings of the resting inertia, the sleep that is a cloak, a veil, that prevents her from awakening in a spazz and a flurry such as Pingüino. Taint isn't Taint at this time, she is just.
That is it. Just.
It is the same every morning. For she, she is just accepting her taint, because you cannot fight what you cannot realize you can fight at the time. She is a zombie from her awakening and never knows how she is, how she'll act, and she isn't herself.
And at last, the hours past, and she grasps her thoughts.
The Painted Lady is -not- a morning flutter...

I tried to write "stream of consciousness" for the colored parts. It's a writing style I learned in English class, and it drives me mad.

- It floats and sinks and falls and settles on my fur where each flake drowns in the warmth and ceases to exist. This boulder is cold, the air is cold and my skin is numb but a heat glows from within my chest and wraps my heart with a kind touch.
And for what? I hold no sentiment; no passion, nor ache. What am I but an observer like the floras, who wait out their lives upon the great stretch of time and only monitor the days that pass by? No mouth with which to speak- no mind with which to empathize- and only the swift wind can break their static poses.
In every way, I am like any other. There is naught that sets me apart and this I gladly embrace. I shall remain neutral, unlike an entity but rather a passing feeling or the mundane scent of Forest earth. Brief and forgettable. And I feel not as a being- I have become detached from the bleak animal which now shivers atop the lonely expanse of granite watching the finches hop upon topbranches. It is as if my mind had split and that which controls my routine actions has stayed to let me trudge through the day, while my unfastened mentality floats above to mull over the insignificant.

Have you ever stopped and thought about what things will be like for you years from now?
I've thought of this before, always been curious about things like this:
- What will be the name of my street?
- What will be the name of the city or town I will live in?
- What state will that be in (or what country)?
- What will my house look like?
- What will my neighborhood look like?
- Will my neighbors like me?
- What kind of car will I have?
- What color car will it be?
- What company will I work for?
- What will be my title (profession)?
- How much money will I make?
- Will I still be interested in the things I like today?
- What will the weather be like wherever I live?
- What will I look like?
- Will I be in love with someone or will I be single?
- How different will Brandy be then than she is now?
- Will I have any other pets?
Just some thoughts...

Ialu wakes up by the sound of a roar. He gets up, stretches, and walks towards two minature stags, twins actually. Both red, flowers in there antlers, and mascarade masks. He creeps up slowly to them. Ialu stops right where the dark meets the light. "roooooooooaaaaarmmm" Ialu mumbles. The two twin stags turn around and look at him. Ialu bursts out running around them in circles. The stags get excited and start dancing. Ialu stops running to see a fawn coming this way. He runs towards the fawn and nudges it. Ialu then runs away and comes speeding back right towards the dancing stags and fawn. "Don't move!" Ialu shouts. Then right when Ialu was about to run into them, he jumps. The stags and fawn look up and sees his whole body flying right over them. Ialu lands and runs back to the deer. "that was amazing!" The fawn laughs while tumbling on his back. The stags kept roaring in cheer. Ialu grins, stands next to them, and dances with the deer.
-Ialu also loves to play w/ minature deer. I guess he just likes to play w/ animals that are smaller than him. After Ialu's playdate he went to some dragonflies near the pond in a dark, quiet spot and just kinda layed there. He doesn't like to be alone... but he doesn't like crowds.
