Was turned in the Victorian era. He was riding down the street at Dusk, and he was pulled into an abandoned building, his horse fell and he with it. His arms were seized and a newly turned vampire came and made himself known. Turns out the three of them were newly turned, and they had developed a lust really fast. Katar's neck was bitten and venom had found it's way into his veins. He was taken advantage of while being turned and that memory still haunts him when it can. He had fought his way from them and got to his horse. He whipped the reins and rode into the falling sun, into the fields and far from the city. He felt his skin go cold a day after his bite and his eyesight changed. Rode for days, leaving the buildings and industry behind and headed for the rural areas. Became a full vampire when he fed on sleeping farmers after 10 days riding through the countryside. His horse downed and he was alone in the woods. Kept walking until he felt an enormous weight knock the wind out of his lungs after stepping into a certain area of the woods. When he woke up, a light was glowing above his head, he had taken the form of a deer, and his hunger had vanished. He knew he was one of them, but he reached the Forest and took on his transformation into a stag before he developed a lust of his own. Luckily the Forest's magic took the ability to lust from him. He now feeds when he wishes.

Relations

Ratchet

Finds this stag very weird. Somewhat enjoys his company and amuses himself when being around him. Could see him being a possible friend if relations improve.

Lambchop

Saw this male as only another neck to bite and an intimate time. However, this one continues to surprise Katar in many ways. Eventually gave a heart felt talk and told of his story, of his haunting past. Doesn't know how to feel about him yet.

Bela

Finds many things interesting about the ancient vampire. Is somewhat intimidated with his presence but loves the fact that he's a vampire. Wishes to know more about him and his ways, and wants to seek his help to find out what kind of vampire the white vampire himself is.

Katar again flinched when he found this mysterious item had plunged through his skin. He watched as the object sucked his blood up inside of it. He thought it was a small vampire. His focus then turned back to the ancient. "I guess, will it hurt me?" Katar began messing with a loose end of the rubbery band that was on his arm. He was trying to calm himself.

"That I not know," he said, "It is your choice. I will not force you." He took the vial and put it away in a secure place; he would examine it later. He hoped his findings wouldn't be devastating. A vampire that could walk in the sun was already bad enough. Such powerful beings without a strong weakness or weaknesses would bring the human race to ruin.

Katar shifted in his seat

Katar shifted in his seat before rising to walk towards the ancient. "Alright." He rubbed his arm where the small vampire bit. He hoped none of those existed in the forest, he found them a bit creepy. It didn't look like something that should be mauled either. Double creepy. Katar flipped his hair and looked around once more. He saw Bela carrying the vial of his blood away. Just what exactly would he do with that? Katar figured he'd just end up drinking it later.

Bela nodded and left the

Bela nodded and left the room, returning in no time with a box with both objects in it. The crucifix was making him ill, even in the box, and he set the container on the tray beside the younger. He also had a pair of tongs with him; gloves would hardly protect him. Opening the box, he took the tongs and grabbed the crucifix first, holding it out in front of him. "How do you feel?" he simply asked.
Staff's picture

Katar watched as the ancient

Katar watched as the ancient left the room, only to return holding a mysterious box. It rattled with a few steps and when Bela set it down. The white vampire stared at it curiously and looked upon a crucifix. The ancient was holding it in front of him. How did he feel? He felt nothing in all honesty. Katar never conformed to the church going lifestyle of the Victorians. He ignored whenever his family would pray at their skimpy meals as a child. Even into adulthood, Katar didn't see the purpose of it. He seen those who were suffering of illness, heard people taken by the plague day by day. He knew no god could allow that to happen. So as he just eyed the object in front of him, he shrugged his shoulders to Bela. He felt nothing.

Siggy by Shey

Bela raised a brow. Nothing?

Bela raised a brow. Nothing? How strange. It was obvious that the elder was taking the effects of the crucifix, his face cringing, obviously in some sort of pain. He set it back in the box before taking the silver ingot out, making sure to shut the box to relieve him of some of the crucifix's effects. The silver had no radiating effect on Bela and would only hurt him upon contact. He held the ingot before the younger. "Touch it, please," he asked politely.
Staff's picture

Katar was apprehensive about this now. He reached his left wrist out, he knew better than to touch the ingot with his hand. Skin touched mineral, and Katar flung back at the sound of a sizzle and a sharp pain. "Ah! Geez, what the hell was that?" The white vampire winced once more but then relaxed his expression. Whatever it was, he was sure glad it only affected him by touch. He noticed Bela had taken a strong dislike to the crucifix without even coming close to placing a hand on it. Suddenly Katar felt a relieved sensation that he wasn't the same kind of vampire that the ancient was.

Siggy by Shey

When he saw it burn the

When he saw it burn the younger's skin, he instantly drew it away from him. "A silver ingot," Bela said, opening the box and setting it inside. The elder just simply stared at him for a short while, thinking about these new findings. "You are the first biological vampire I have actually met," he said, "And you have helped me with the information you have given me. Now, I will just have to examine your blood. That will tell me more. In the meantime, is there anything I can offer you for your troubles?"
Staff's picture

"Biological vampire? What

"Biological vampire? What does that mean?" Katar was rubbing his wrist while catching the stare of Bela. He nodded to the ancient, there was something he had in mind. "Is there a livery nearby? I've missed having a horse for so long." He remembered when his gelding fell. He was a dark horse, and an amazing runner. A true horse. Katar had longed for a steed ever since his died. He wanted to take a new horse with him back to the Forest, he wanted a new horse to live.

Siggy by Shey

"A vampire that was not

"A vampire that was not created or is affected by supernatural means," he said, "The silver is an allergy you and I possess, but you were not affected by the holy power the crucifix possesess." Bela moved the box away from them; the crucifix was making him weary. "You also were changed and can change with venom, but I was changed and can change with supernatural powers."

Bela's brow raised. Livery? That was a word he hadn't heard for a while. "No, I am afraid not," he said, "And to be honest, you will not find one in today's society unless you search hard for one." He could buy him a horse, but it would take time, and Bela would need to create a spell to walk in the sun. "Is there anything else I could offer you?"
Staff's picture

Katar listened while he

Katar listened while he messed with his wrists. He was discouraged to hear that there were no stables nearby. How did people get around then? He shook off that thought and sighed. "No that's alright then. The only thing I desire is information, but for that you must do your work. Should I stay here or return home?" Katar dreaded the answer for that in some fashion. He hoped he wouldn't need to step outside. He didn't want to know what kind of society Bela said was out there. The only one he knew was the era he grew up in, and he wanted the view of human life to stay that way.

Siggy by Shey

The elder nodded. "I can

The elder nodded. "I can return you to the forest after I do my work," he said, "Unless, you would like to leave, but you will not find much outside my home." Bela's mansion rested atop a hill and was surrounded by forest. The nearest town was an hour away, and the vampire chose location because of that. "I have a library upstairs if you would like to read something while I am busy."

OOC: WHAT SHOULD BELA FIND IN HIS BLOOD SINCE HE'S YOUR VAMPIRE?
Staff's picture

Katar explored his options

Katar explored his options before responding to Bela. "I guess I can just wait here if that's alright with you? It wouldn't make sense to just leave if this shouldn't take too long. Even then, I've worked with patience." Katar adjusted his gloves and shirt. He was still trying to remember what to do as a human again. He hadn't been like this since he was turned.

((I was thinking you could come up with something. As long as it ain't Gary Sue then it's cool with me. Otherwise I'd have no idea lol))

Siggy by Shey

"That is alright with me,"

"That is alright with me," Bela said as he walked back to retrieve the sample, "I shall be back shortly." And the elder left the room.

Setting up the sample under the microscope, Bela looked through the oculus, and what he saw disturbed him. His blood was as if he were still alive, bright and red, unlike the elder's, which was dark. And within Katar's blood were strange cells that were not lymphocytes nor anything else that would be normal in blood. They looked like spiny white blood cells with a sickly greenish color. If he was a vampire like Bela, his cells would be reanimated dead cells, but here he looked like a perfectly normal human being, with the exception of the strange cells.

Katar nodded to the ancient and headed for the stairs. Just as he was going to open the door he stopped and looked around. He was looking into something, staring down at a drop of the blood he took. Strange. Katar shook his head and opened the door. Closing it behind him, he stared at the vast hallway in front of him. It was lined with doors. The white vampire scratched his scalp and walked on. He didn't want to intrude on any of the mysterious rooms, he already felt uncomfortable enough being here, so he just slowly walked on, letting the doors pass by him. He really hoped Bela wouldn't end up being some psychotic doctor that would trap him here. He was already wary of the fact that the windows were all blacked out. Making sure the other wasn't up here, he moved the curtain and peered outside. He saw hills and trees dotting the landscape. He was out in the middle of nowhere. Katar couldn't help but notice the prettiness of the outside here. He wished he had a horse to ride, it'd be great to gallop these hills.

Bela had taken a photo of Katar's blood to help explain what he had found and finding a picture of his own for comparison. He ventured upstairs, following the aura trail that the younger left behind. The curtain was open, sun splashing across the floor, and Bela steered clear of it.

"I would like to show you my findings," he spoke.

Katar jumped a bit when the ancient was near. He was spacing out and hadn't expected his voice. He lowered the curtain and cleared his throat. "Uhm.. yes, please." He walked toward Bela, hands holding the sides of his pants.

Turning on the light nearby and setting the photos onto the table, Bela pointed at his photo first. "This is a photo of my blood. It is literally reanimated blood, and the dark color is because it has died. But other than that, it looks like human blood. Your's, on the other hand, looks like a living human being's blood, with the exception of these strange cells." He circled around one with his finger. "I am not sure what they are, but they are most likely the cells that give you the vampiric abilities. It could be a bacteria, a virus, or a mutated cell. I would have to do more research to find this out."

Katar had no idea what the ancient was talking about most of the time he explained his findings. While he had wisdom in many aspects, stuff like this was moot. "So.. what does that entail? Will you need more from me?" Katar sniffed and studied the pictures of the cells. He did see the major difference between his and Bela's blood. For all of his turned life, Katar thought he was one of the undead. The pictures were telling him otherwise.

Bela scratched his chin, "For now, no. But maybe perhaps you can tell me more about your changing process after you were bitten and if there was anything that stood out to you. Even the tiniest detail would be helpful." The elder walked to a nearby cabinet after speaking and retrieved a pen and pad of paper and returning to the younger.
Staff's picture

Katar tried to focus back to when he was first bitten. He tried to count the days and re-think the moments that stood out when he was changing. "Well... the next day I fell from my horse unconscious. When I woke, my skin felt chilled and my vision seemed different. Then after 10 days I fed on some farmers and felt myself completely change. I can't exactly remember what that was.. but it was different than the first day." Katar wondered whether he should mention his experience of entering the Endless Forest. He decided not to for now. He just stared at the objects Bela was holding while listening to him speak.

Siggy by Shey

The elder vampire wrote this

The elder vampire wrote this down, though couldn't help but feel pity for the farmers. "Hmm, how strange. The transformation took a while. It took me within a day or less to change after my death." He looked over Katar to see anything different on the surface about him. "Do you recall anything specific about the three men?" he asked.
Staff's picture

Katar winced when the ancient

Katar winced when the ancient mentioned the men. Katar liked to call them the 'Trio' and he associated the three with that word. He knew this would be for a greater good, so he looked back in his memory. He remembered the two that restrained him being pale and dressed in mid class clothes. They seemed normal, but Katar didn't have enough time to get a good look at them considering the way he was being restrained. The one that stood out was the third, the leader. He was dressed in a suit well worth some money and he looked reputable. That made the white vampire question if that one had been following him. No one with that sort of stature could just prey on the poor and do such a deed. So what could it have been? Did he say something? "The two thugs holding me I can't remember. Only that they had pale skin. The leader was of a more wealthy stature which makes me question several things. He couldn't have done.. that... to me without reason. Especially if he really was of a noble stature. So why would he be in the poorer district of the city?" Katar messed with his fingers after he was done talking. He kept trying to think of reasons why it all happened. Nothing yet.

"It is not uncommon for upper-class citizens to hang around poorer parts of a city or town, thought, sadly, it is almost always for dirty work," Bela said as he jotted down the information Katar had given him, "Perhaps you were apart of his plan, or an unfortunate bystander."

"I guess I can imagine that'd be it. But to turn me though.. out of all the bystanders he probably fed on, why would he turn me? I guess it's because of the way I fought back." Katar held his head in his palms and sighed. He tried to let the memories run loose, run from his thoughts. They felt like wild horses thundering his brain with each step, with each image. He would've thought that talking about it would help, but the images and the pain still reside. He just wanted the pain to stop. He looked at Bela, eyes looking even more sickly. "I understand you want to help me.. but please.. don't make me think of that again."

A look of guilt crossed the elder's face at the pain the younger was experiencing. "I am sorry, we will stop talking about this for now." A gentle hand gently pat Katar's back. Katar flinched when he felt a hand pat his back. He never realized how tall the ancient was until he was standing beside the white vampire. Katar nodded and sniffed at what Bela had said. He wondered what sort of memories the two thousand year old brain withheld. "So.. back to the reason why I'm here. Do you feel this is truly important to know?"

"Yes," Bela started, removing his hand from Katar's back, "This information could help me find the origins of these biological vampires." He sat back in his chair and looked over the younger's aura with his ghastly, pale eyes. His aura seemed fine, a little stressed from today's emotional strain, but otherwise fine. "Is there really nothing I can offer you?" Bela asked. If there truly wasn't, he would seek out a horse for the younger. It was the least he could do.

Katar received the ancient's gaze with tension. What was it he was looking at? Offer? Katar just gave a relaxed expression and slowly shook his head. "That is alright. I only wish to know what it is I am, and if that poses any sort of danger. Do you mind if I went outside if you have further research to do?" Katar was fully aware that the Sun was still out. Being that it doesn't burn him, he doesn't mind the daylight too much. In fact, the warm rays felt pretty good on his icy skin. Only problem is that if he's around others. The luminescent glow gives it away that there's something different about him. Something not every ear should hear.

"You may go outside," the elder said, giving him instructions on how to exit the building and into the garden in the back. "You may take as long as you wish." Bela stood up, taking the notepad and pen and exiting into the room he was in before when looking at Katar's blood samples.

Katar listened to the ancient and watched him depart the room before heading upstairs. He walked the hallway and counted the doors as he passed. Once he reached his door, he turned the knob and walked through. He passed through this great room before entering the garden. It looked... placid. The fountains and rosebushes looked rusty and dim. However, the nettle bushes were lively and green. Katar peered around a hedge and saw a patch of nightshade with its purple-ish hued petals. He turned back and found a wrought iron gate that led to the fields outside. He unlatched the creaky fence and sealed it again once passing it. The fields were just like he had seen from the window. The grass blew back and forth with the breeze, sometimes glistening in the orange-ish light from the Sun. The breeze bat at his hair and clothes, and Katar felt as if he could chase it. How he wished he could be riding this land on the back of a steed. Katar put his fingers in his mouth and echoed a shrilling whistle. It caught in the currents and wisped throughout the area. No equine came. The white vampire was almost disappointed with this, even though he knew one wouldn't be coming.

The vampire secluded himself in his lab for many hours, pouring over the information he was given. All of this troubled him, and it seemed that the young Katar was apart of something bigger. Was. Katar was debating whether if he whistled again that a horse would actually come galloping to him. He figured he'd just look like a whistling lunatic and brushed that idea off. What was taking so long? Night was creeping in and the white vampire heard no news or summoning from the ancient. He was starting to have some crazy thoughts seep into his mind. What if Bela was holding him hostage? What if this whole endeavor could end up like that night in the warehouse? What if he'd never see the Forest again? Katar plopped down on the grass and rubbed his head. He missed having his pictogram floating over him. It was like he'd lost his identity. He got up and looked around the grass and found a stick. Kneeling down, he jabbed the stick into a patch of yellow, un grown grass and drew his hovering golden symbol. He felt like a kid again doing this. Whatever. No one was out here to see him.

Katar shook his head. He figured the ancient was already doing enough by experimenting on him. Plus he learned it was in good manners to deny an offer. He tasted the air. He'd have to do a bit of running to get to where there were some rabbits lurking about. Fine by him, he could use a good bout of exercise. He quickly bowed his head before taking off towards the scent of the hares.

Bela understood and bowed politely back at him. His stomach gnawed at him slightly; he'd best feed himself. He ventured back inside and returned with a glass of blood and sat on the chair beside a table. It wasn't fresh, but it was better than nothing. Katar jogged until he reached a grassy area with a few trees dotting around it. He lowered himself and listened. His ears had a spectacular hearing range with him being a vampire. He heard the soft paw steps of a hare just in front of him. Waiting patiently, he saw its head poke from the grass, jaws moving back and forth with a chewing motion. He lunged forward and grasped it, sinking his teeth into the flesh. He snapped its neck with his hands since he couldn't get a good enough angle with his teeth. A sickly snapping sound was echoed, and then the creature fell motionless below his palms. He knelt and turned around, looking at the mansion. He wondered if the ancient would be interested. Meh, he was different than him. Katar could handle raw meat perfectly fine, but he had no idea if Bela was a blood based diet only. Assuming so, he used his nails to skin the animal and sat on a clean area of grass, knawing away. His speculations on what the ancient might find out about him continued. He couldn't get the thought away.

He could see the aura of the rabbit immediately diminish as Katar killed it. While it was normal for such a thing to happen, he couldn't help but get a sinking feeling in his stomach. Bela was a lover of life, and even necessary things made him pity the innocent ones that were killed. He was not mad at Katar, no, of course not. That was how Katar fed, and the younger would probably have some reservations of Bela feeding on humans, even if they were evil.

After Katar had finished, he plucked some leaves from the tree the rabbit was near to try and clean up his face. He figured he should be getting back now. He couldn't help but feel that the ancient had to get lonely at times in such a large place. Not to mention the darkness that consumes the insides of it. He walked towards the garden and unlatched the iron gate. Making sure it was latched again, he swiveled around and walked through the garden and re-entered the estate. He just stood in the room for a bit before finding his way back into the long hallway. He sat against the wall and waited for Bela. No use walking around trying to find him, not to mention Katar was pretty apprehensive about things as it was. He didn't want to go looking around and find something he shouldn't have, or didn't want to.

Geez, he sure was persistent. Katar waved his hand and said, "Come on now, that's not necessary. If I insisted on no payment necessary, why have a guilty conscience? Don't believe me or something?" Katar felt it was the right thing to do to turn Bela's offers away. Katar really hadn't done anything spectacular to deserve such a present as having a horse again. He'd only had some of his blood taken and a trip to the human realm. He picked his teeth and stared at one of the windows in the hallway. Night had taken over, and it was pretty dark. Luckily being a vampire had its perks. Katar had no problem seeing in the dark. He did want to pull back those curtains though. Moonlight is better than no light.
