This looks so real! I'd bet that if you greyscaled it it would look like it came right out of someone's scrapbook!

@ wonderfullysarcastic My camera did not pick up all the lovely colors in the grass of orange, yellow, and ocher, and red. So i was worried. It is one of those paintings if you step back about five or six feet that just looks like you are there. I like the greyscaled idea. I like toning my colors with grey because it gives a dream like quality to the painting. I am taking lessons so i listen to my oil painting mentor. I will save your suggestion and once i am on my own maybe i can create a similar one with the grey tones all the way through rather than just the edge of the water and the barn. please do not be jealous i admire work here, and the fact you all were brave enough to do these things when you were young. i took a long time to let mine come out and it cost me more than you will ever know.
