I just love anthros, so I felt like making my Nathan a form.
Ahem...I didn't want to go all Disney and leave out one of the parts that
represents his masculinity. >.>
Frith - may I politely say something?
I agree totally with your idea of 'anatomical correctness' - and would gladly back up your corrections - IF this were a full-deer picture.
As it is, it is a deer merged with a human. QUITE a few of the artists I know draw deer, horses, and other animals with dangly-bits, with sheathes. It is easier to draw, and more practical if you think that - merging a human with an animal is bound to make that organ... ah... quite a bit more ungainly. Thus, the sheath. For both protection, and for streamlining.
Once again - NO offense whatsoever to you, but you're taking the corrections just a little too far. It's Maijme's drawing. Perhaps that is how Nathan looks in their mind. I respect that opinion, even though I believe, BY ALL RIGHTS, that a sheath would be the best choice for this picture.
Please forgive me, as I had to express my opinion on the matter, and don't wish to start a flame-war here, or make any enemies.
Thanks~

LOL! No need to be so gingerly polite! ^_^ Of course Maijme can take or leave my suggestions as she sees fit. I offer the pictures so she can make corrections if she wants to. I think the sheath convention has arisen because people see many more dogs than they see deer, and because people copy each other. *bg* Due to the anatomical similarities, if you were to cross a human with a deer, the reproductive organs would remain dangly, not morph into a sheath. By streamlining, do you mean removing the scrotum from the image?
I will definitely check those pictures out, but do you think I go around finding out what a deer's penis looks like? No. And even if I did, I wouldn't know where to start. xD;;
Anyways, I wish you could have told me in a note or through email instead of on here.
I think that would have been a better choice. *shrugs*
Well. thanks for the info, I will definitely use it!
You're welcome. ^_^ If you wish, feel free to delete my comments. Although I addressed the suggestions to you, I was also broadcasting the anatomy lesson at large. It's easier than sending individual notes and emails. *grin*
