Among the mists

Something else than TEF-fan-art, for chance. ^^;
Haven´t moved on from deer&branches yet, though this one was a lot faster than my previous ones, done only in two sessions.
I love silhuet-like things, especially bare trees against the sky. <3

Done with oil.
My camera butchered it, agh...

The first word that came to mind is gorgeous, so I'll stick with it.

This hits on so many things that attract me. It makes me wish I knew how to use paint.
How lovely to have this in your home.

Thank you! =)

Eyestrain, Thank you so much. <3
I have been a bit obsessed with this subject too, don´t really know why. Happy to get rid of my long "real" art-block at last. <3
You should try painting too sometime, I´m sure you would do good with it!

I've tried a few times in the past, but it's tricky, and painful when paint or canvas feels 'wasted'.

Please, continue to be obsessed.

This is beautiful and I'll say again how impressed I am by your work with oils. Painting with any real media besides watercolors utterly terrifies me.

Munkel, Thanks!

Munkel, Thanks! <3 Heh, another of my old obsession, painting mist, has returned again.

Eyestrain, I know what you mean... I used to be very cautious with watercolors like that. But if you´re using oil or acrylic, you really don´t have to be worried about ruining the canvas, because if you don´t like what you make you can always paint over it.

Will do, I have few other in the making already. =)

Sighthoundlady, Thank you, you flatter me. =) Like I said above, oil isn´t actually that "cruel" media as it might feel like, because you can keep working on it as long as you want. I have found out that it´s more "forgiving" that watercolors (atleast to me) because fixing it is always possible after it´s dried out.

Makes me want to make more. Too bad that the canvas isn´t still dried out..
Felt so good to actually paint something after a long pause.
