For a moment everything stood still.
Only movements of the ones around the scene were the ones seen.

The black stream flowing between the two bodies steadied,
the most thin parts leaving the ground and lifting itself up into the air as black smoke,
swirling until disappearing into the faint breeze.

After every string of black had bled from the cripple's wound,
The body laying on the other side started to vapor slowly.

The earth would eat the nightmare,
making it become one with the shadows covering the forest floor.
Even the now acquired flesh and bones broke and moldered,
leaving no evidence of the entity having existed.

He had escaped.

---

A tear from the finally opened turquoise eyes intertwined
with the light stream of blood coming from the aching crack on the broken skull.
Yet he did not weep for the pain.
Not for the fact he found himself unable to move...

...but for the loss of his friend.

Little did others know what they had faced,
what they had fought.

The last friend created by his mind.

For the last years they had been nightmares,
terrorizing the buck's mind.

But before all this they were what he considered

comfort

company

love

---

Nidhem would now watch the crowd...
unable to form grudge,
unable to blame one for their deeds.

He'd have to accept the loneliness
and let the sadness come in form of tears.

it shatters to the soil of earth
you still see it as a flower
memories are the most precious gold
And your guest didn't stay for long
it traveled to someplace else
it will still come to leave again
closer than you know"

So...
This is the end.

This was by no means supposed to have a happy Disney ending, oh no.
Not all stories end like that.
And who said this story is over? : D
It really isn't. It's the end of a phase so to say.

Thanks to everyone who were more or less involved!
I wouldn't have been able to do this without the
endless support I've gotten from friends and those who kept commenting.

This is a huge thing in Nidhem's life,
but not all wounds and tears are bad.
They're part of learning,
and those who know Nidhem know that his life is most of the time based on learning stuff.
This is another lesson.
You heard that Nid?
Don't play around with your imagination friends too much
or they'll become real and flip a table at your face :c

The smaller text part is a part of a finnish song
Suru on Kunniavieras by Jenni Vartiainen.
It was highly affecting the latest feels-based things in this thing,
and it's a damn good and relatable song so
I figured it would be nice to have that part translated here.

Also thanks to Auriea for hearing my humble plead for the weather to be changed ♥

This was simply outstanding.

This was simply outstanding. The artwork and story were both extraordinary and I loved reading every page of this. This one really was full of emotion and made me cry! The fact that he is crying for the Nightmare really touched me. I love the twist and sad ending of this, as it is very unique and tear-jerking.
Grand job! *applause* I am so happy to see him awake, however. Hope he heals emotionally and physically in time. :'(

-loves everyone-
;u; I'm so pleased and even somewhat relieved it has all been done now. I definitely have put a lot of work into this during the couple years I've been planning and drawing and all.

And I am so grateful for HB to share the work with me, you're such a huge part of all the inspiration, ideas, and the actual work in this. You're awesome and you know it.

Thanks to Ammy for giving so much support and strenght and everything to get the parts done and for the actual interest towards this. You kept me going.

Spidey gets a share of gratitude for having to listen to my endless rambling about this shit and being my guinea pig for the parts when I needed someone to see them before posting. I'm surprised you didn't rip my head off while this stuff was in process. Thanks for that.

Thanks to snow for helping out with the end with Illrose. The ending was so much more easier to handle and go through like this.

And of course big thanks to everyone else too.
