I know and I don't agree with anyone who picks on fawns/newer players just because its 'part of their character'...and yes, he should have just left if he wanted to be alone. Maybe try and avoid Walter in the future, now that you know his character isn't one you can easily get along with.

I approve of not backing down, especially if there is no reason to be picked on...but you should also be aware that because Walter is an older player, there might be some drama from actions like that. Regardless, do what you think is right

The chasing thing was mainly because Walter was pee'd off at this other deer, and this other deer was just standing there being blank. So he directed his anger to the next awake thing. Nothing personal, he's grumpy. I as a player hold NOTHING against anyone. It's just how Walter acts. <3
The other deer.. I can't remember why Walter picked a fight with him. x_X But after he left the pond, he dropped the subject. He didn't count on Rue-U bellowing at him from across the river, along with taunting <3.
PLEASE bear in mind that it's just how Walter behaves. It's never serious, it's never affecting IRL and it's JUST A GAME. <3
And a further edit: If you do have a problem with how Walter behaves, as recommended, avoid him. I'm not about to make him into a nice guy because people have problems with him. <3 He's been like this for two years now and I've never changed him once.

It's a character, it's a story, it's an interpretation, it's an artwork. It's nothing to make a fuss about. Call it roleplay, call it acting, call it developing a plotline. Call it what you will. But you don't really need to cause a rumpus.
