There was once a fawn who drowned. But the Gods didn't let him go.

Has awoken.
Remains weak, almost unmoving and helpless, seeking the protection of others. Can't move around well yet, his legs won't carry him for long distances. Breathing is weak and body reactions are slow and dreamy. Fearful of others, not knowing whether what he sees is a dream or the reality. Feels "out of this world" still, and eyesight has not returned. Remains weakened and mostly unresponsive, but alive, breathing and moving. Will not leave his spot near the Crying Idol without company.
Free to visits. Will know if someone sat with him.
Air filled his lungs. He breathed deeply, his voice hoarse but enough for him and the others to notice. It was scary, feeling the cold, sudden flow inside of him, and he felt as though the air'd suffocate him.
The essence of life took over his breath, as he let out an audible gasp. All the elements of the surrounding world overwhelmed him at once, yet he couldn't see where all the noises and the smells came from. His body twitched as all of his limbs responded to his commands once more, pressuring him to move them. The throbbing pain in his head returned, and the heat that he emitted was scattering and spreading everywhere into his body and beyond. Where was he now? Had the dream ended? If so, where was mama? Didn't feel her anywhere, he didn't smell the warm, milky scent that had always overwhelmed everything else to this point. It seemed as if the dream continued - he couldn't see. He couldn't think straight. Thirst and pain were numbing him. It really hurt, even the slightest movement was painful, almost unnatural. Was he still sick?
He did not seem to recognize this world, nor its scents, muffled by the sharp sense of water nearby, a scent that made him flinch and twitch his ears. Water. There was something about the thought that he did not like, but also something that made him attracted to the sound, making him want to taste the coolness in his mouth. He did not remember what water tasted like. He did not want to remember what it felt like to touch it. He remained in his spot, hardly moving, shivering with fear. This unknown world, real or not, frightened him.
The blue stag (Mandel) was near. Followed his scent, leaning to him lovingly. He had not forgotten. Tried his best to trust his own wobbly movements, taking slow, frail steps at a time, remaining as quiet as he had while he had been paralyzed. The stag remained on his side, the fawn could always feel him there, he could always make sure his scent was near. The stag didn't have a warm scent like pa did, but his presence was secure. It gave him strength to move. They were nearing the river, no doubt of it. The loud shrieking of the water splashing against the stream became louder, quieting down any other sounds that he might have heard. It was scary and made the headache feel worse, but the blue stag was near, and soon was the doe with the strange vibrations. (Jennie) The red doe (Kamaya) arrived as well. Not sure about their white-coated friend (Ashe) but accepted because Mandel seemed to be familiar with him. While he wanted to frolick and dance around this company he held dear, he wasn't strong enough for it. He tasted the water, allowing it to fill his empty, dry throat with the new joy of life. He still felt weak, helpless and lost without the familiar presence of his parents, but he felt secure, loved and wanted in this company. He felt as if he was one of them, and with them, he didn't need to fear the strong flow of the river. His ears and his nose would be his guide, as he registered and took in all the elements of the Forest.
Later fled the awful, loud bangs that resonated from everyone suddenly jumping around. While there was no smell of fear lingering in the air, it felt as if everyone was running from a danger, or a stampede. He covered under Jennie's belly, not understanding where all the loud bangs and the excitement came from. Wobbled back to his waking spot dotted with sunlight, not knowing whom to trust. Where did all the panic come from? The fawn's body told him to get away from the scene, and so he did. Felt slighty unpleasant and frantic over the stomping and the many noises coming from every possible direction.
The Past
Remained several days in a dead, coma-like state, knowing very little of his surroundings.
Cough. Sputter. Wheeze. Noises came from his throat, quiet but becoming more audible. He still needed water, he needed someone to give water to him, but his cries weren't loud enough for anyone to hear. His eyes still lingered closed, eyelids stuck together as if they had been slathered with glue - he dared not open them. It felt painful enough as it was.
Head felt like it was on fire, and his body radiated with heat. He was becoming alive, better from the sickness that had befallen him. He felt excited over the fact that he'd see his parents again, once he'd awake from this slumber, this nightmare that some monster had thrown him in.
Noises came from the outside, no longer muffled by a big curtain. The different scents and the small tastes of those scents started to overwhelm the fawn, pressuring him to take a deep breath to clear his sore chest. No air came in and none went out, but the different sounds of the Forest started to calm him down, slowly lulling him into a sense of security, not knowing whether that feeling was true or false. The blue stag's scent returned, and the babe's ears were instantly drawn to his direction, slowly moving while the rest of his body remained immobilized by the dream.
---
Wheeze. He tried to manage a sound, tried to have someone notice him. All went on by, stopping only for a quick sniff of his body, so uninterested. He became desperate - where were his parents? Why didn't anyone smell like ma? Why didn't anyone notice he was sick and needed help? Water. He needed water. And warmth. His head was throbbing with warmth, heat even, but not in a good way. It felt more painful, and only made the rest of his body colder than it had been. If only he could drink... the water splashing nearby was almost mocking him and his dry throat. It hurts.
Someone stopped. A stag (Mandel). He smells as strange as the others, but nice. Kind and nice, strong. Suddenly, the fawn was not even cold. He's so warm, and big! The fawn wished he could see him, inspect his figure and thank him for noticing his faint small existence. I can't. The stag stayed on the fawn's side for a long while, so gentle and kind. Suddenly, he's gone, but he leaves something. Were they flowers? They sure smelled like flowers. Poppies. Nice. The fawn faded away. He wished he was dead by now.
The strange doe (Jennie) made a comeback. It's scary how her vibrations work, but the fawn was not scared of it anymore. She was so friendly, and felt secure... even if her lingering presence was haunting, found it so calm, so beautiful. Protective. Felt as if he was at peace after the longest time.
He felt a strange entity inside of him, swirling around, flowing like the river nearby. It brought new life to him. (Ird)
With all of his might, managed to twitch an ear. The stag didn't seem to notice, though.
----
Sniff sniff. Can't see - can't move. He could only hear the sound of water pouring down nearby. Thirsty, feels strange, throat hurts. Tried to cough, but not even a single sound came out. Wanted to cry out for ma and pa, but body isn't working. It hurts. Why was he here, even.
Two beings are near (Kamaya, Chalice). They stink, but not sure if bad stink. Just different, funny. But kind. So kind. They were both warm, unlike he was. He could feel the bigger doe placing herself next to him. Strange. It didn't feel like ma, but not far.
Was approached by something scarier soon, (Jennie) and a few others, too far from him to investigate further. Friendly? Good. This was good. Wanted to frolic and play, call out. No movement.
A fawn calls out (Octavia). Can't answer. Can't play. The darkness returns, sounds dying out.

My exterior and trivia
o The body seems to be functioning quite well, despite the fact that it is mostly taken over by fungi. His legs are lanky and stocky, capable of movement that's necessary for his survival. Extremely fragile, insides and brain are not working properly thanks to the roots of the fungi and the occasional parasite that lives inside of him. Body is decaying and rotting, but can't seem to seize to move, heart won't stop pumping blood all around him. Due to the fungi taking over, body can rarely twitch. Can be killed, but will always slowly reconstruct himself over time. Has no control over this.
o The fur that was once soft and dotted orange has turned to a mouldy green, and while the fawn is technically dead, he is still warm, even feverish to the touch and his fur has remained pleasantly soft, except for the parts where the fungi are growing. Those areas smell like puss, too. Even though it's not dangerous for anyone to be around him, those with sensitive nose and eyes may get allergic reactions due to the spores and rot rising from his body.
o Doesn't know how to use his voice for conversation, uses more primitive methods to communiate, such as hoarse mooing and body language.
o Has poor eyesight. Eyes seem to be lifeless. Despite the odd glow, they don't shine and don't seem to move much, but his face is still full of emotion and feeling, mostly expressed through his mouth and brows. Most muscles in the face are working well enough for interacting with others.
o Fungi spores glow in the dark.

___________
| Sensitive | Shy | Friendly | Gentle | Clingy | Quirky | Fragile | Loving | Cowardly | Kind | Calm | Quiet | Distracted | Passive | Childish | Delicate.
Instincts tell him to run away from anything that seem dangerous, will avoid most predators and animals that eat meat. As he knows he's just a runt compared to the larger deer, will avoid getting in their way unless he is reassured that they are kind. Searches the Forest for his parents that he has no other memories of but the warmth they gave him, so it is not unusual to see him following does or strong-looking stags around, thinking they are his parents.
Has an intense fear of the Pond and large puddles of water after he drowned there - doesn't have any memories of this, however. He still thinks that he never died, he's just more sickly than he was before the experience where he "almost drowned". Doesn't want to listen to any talk about him dying.
Doesn't like being approached from behind in ANY situation, for his senses are not the sharpest. Will always flee if not approached with caution and from the front.
Is not as social as he'd want to be, for he feels insecure and fragile without the presence of his parents. Will always remain cautious and tense unless he feels safe around the company he's currently in.
Always seeks cuddles and has a selfish desire to be babied and to feel good and wanted. If he is loved, he will return that love doubled to the giver.

Thanks for the visit! Much
Also, I recently remembered the brown/very dark green pelt that's only available for the fawns (Mossy/mud), so if someone could cast it on him, it'd be much appreciated. It'd probably fit him a little better. Thanks so much to ShrinkingRose and Mandel! I'm sorry that took so darn long.
