Just an idea inspired by
a story I wrote and also from a comment by Redkora.
We all (or most all) are stressed in life, but there are little things that can help us not feel so stressed out. We need to
enjoy the little things in our everyday lives. We each have our own simple pleasures, and if you guys don't mind, I think it would be great to share things you enjoy on this topic so that we all may benefit and relieve some stress.
It can be anything at all - a website you go to when you need inspiration or to relax; an online video game you like to play when you're stressed; a poem, story, photo, artwork, ect that calms you; a product you buy when you need a pick-me-up; something you enjoy doing in your free time that calms your mind. Or if you'd like, you can draw or write your own personal simple pleasure for yourself or the community.
Don't feel limited to one thing, tell us anything and everything you enjoy!
And feel free to keep this bookmarked/tracked if you ever need to come back and get some ideas.
------------------------------
So I guess I'll start then:
Whenever I have a few extra dollars to spend, I really enjoy buying
Zola Acai Juice. I really love drinking them for several reasons - they taste really good; they are good for the body (loaded with antioxidants and other goodies); and the company gives part of their proceeds back to Brazilian communities, helping them with education funding and other things. So for me, it's a great product altogether. I also like to eat
Endangered Species Chocolate, which is a similar product - they use dark chocolate with dried berries in them (healthy antioxidants and nutrients) and they donate part of their proceeds to support wildlife conservation. Their website has a lot of useful information for those who would like to start looking into healthy and eco-friendly habits, too.
Downside to both Zola and Endangered Species is that they're about $3-4 a piece, but still worth the money when you want a great treat that benefits a community or wildlife.
So that's all I have for now, but I will definitely add more later in comments. Please feel free to tell us what simple pleasures you enjoy.

The little things... ` Being
` Being home alone because it's quiet, because my house is usually very loud.
I rarely have time to just myself. I don't even have my own room anymore.
` Packing a couple snacks and riding my bike for hours on end with a close friend, exploring.
I used to do that so much before I moved. It made me feel free.
` When my manager or parents tell me how awesome I'm doing at something.
` Showering.
` Smelling nice and smelling others that also smell nice.
"People appreciate you more when you smell good." How true.
` Clinging to my giant stuffed animal at night and getting into bed.
(:
The fog comes on little cat
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
-Carl Sandburg
I love that poem. So simple, yet beautiful.
I love listening to music and singing along to it.
I love the flowers around my school.
I love just standing and listening for a little while to the world.
I love those little unexpected compliments.
I love doodling and having it come out nice.
I love reading and getting lost in books.
I love answering something right or adding to a discussion.
There's a lot to love. <3
A long shower reading on the
reading on the john
Spending all day in pajamas
drawing
singing on a walk all alone
saving insects in mortal peril
dreaming
running a hand through the fur of a cat or dog
laying one's face on a cat or dog
whistling the silly 'dancing music' from TEF
Visiting the beach below the cliffs in Shadow of Colossus
Vekatimest
trying to move quietly enough to stalk the deer
eating ice
I don't strive to be the best, but instead I strive to do my best, and always give it my all every time.
