These are all awesome. They have that sort of old world ink drawing feel to them and I love it!

they look reminiscent of like a lithograph or an etching, out of an old storybook or something, I keep imagining I'll see words on a page next to them haha

and there's a lot of life and character to these, they are seriously gorgeous <3

and I am like, perpetually open for trades, even if I'm super slow I love exchanging art with people, I'd love to do so with you one day if you ever wanted to c:

I enthused a little to you

I enthused a little to you already when you showed me WIPs, but my goodness golly I love how you drew Jelly, and everyone else too! I adore this old-world illustrative style you have; it's resplendent with charm and character. The texture created by your linework and cross-hatching is just so lovely too. These are just wonderful!

Thanks so much for trading with me! I'm still working on my half, but I'll send you a progress shot tomorrow evening!

niriya & fushrah: Ay thenk

niriya & fushrah: Ay thenk you guys Eye
The detail is a bit hard to capture, all these artworks are done without an erasable sketch (you can see traces here and there, as well as mistakes) so each like and stroke is a thing of having faith in yourself and good enough idea of what the heck you're doing.
It's good to build up confidence in your art and cherish or try negate those damn mistakes.

phantomhelsing:
I actually had classes in etching, as well as screen printing.
I kid you not I could copy a still life composition exactly. (but i also needed a lot of exercise of hand coordination and lots of preplanning n focus) Soon i'll be taking a more chemically involved form of etching. Still skill degrades over time, I need to often practice so i'm prepared for future classes.

Also maybe we could do something c:

aaa same, I took them in

aaa same, I took them in highschool!
But I was scared of the acid bath for etching so that was a harder one for me to do |D
that's really cool that you're doing this kind of stuff though! It really is a very neat process ^^

and yes~ I'd love to!=D
