[Notes:] Sorry about the lateness on this entry. ): I've been sick with an incredibly annoying cold and haven't been doing much of anything. Can't really miss school, so I didn't, but when you're sick all you wanna do is lay in bed, right? Anyways, enjoy.
......:It seems everyday has been rushing through in a blur as of late. From what I've observed...well....every second seems to be galloping past me like a fawn trying to catch a frog. It doesn't seem to help that the irritable pounding in my chest hasn't ceased, nor do I suspect it will anytime soon. It's incredibly loud I've noticed, and I wonder if maybe others hear it's rhytm. I suppose I've grown to retreating socially in order to avoid an awkward confrontation. Ah....well. It's the least of my worries, eh.
.....:After a quick splash in the 'Crying Idol's' river, I only managed to stumble a few steps before spotting a few familiar faces. The first, I noticed, was Miss Ravenflight. I grinned with an ever slight smirk when I soon after noticed Sir Rajan standing nearby.
"I hope I'm not interupting anything." I called out just above a whisper, my voice rather raspy from ill-use after sleeping.
""Wudiin! Its so good to see you again. I hope my last goodbye did not scare you." Miss Ravenflight returned, and I sighed. I bowed, giving a quick nuzzle to Miss Ravenflight and then to Sir Rajan. A quick pass of conversation ensued, although I noticed Miss Ravenflight continually glancing to her injured leg. I placed the action in the back of my mind, trying to figure a way to perhaps....help. I assured myself I would, after all. That...and murder what stag believed it right to attack a doe, let alone the Miss.
......:A flood of hoofbeats filled my eardrums, and instinctively, I bolted a short distance away. My heart felt as if it was going to pop out of my body and create a drum solo of it's own. When I finally caught my breath and turned to glance back, I noticed a reassuring pawing in asking of my return. I obliged, although as I walked, I irratibly took deeper and deeper breaths, trying to catch the air that wasn't sticking. Thankfully, it all returned to me eventually, and we continued about in silly forest actions, now as a group. Plenty more deer seemed to weave into our silliness.
....:
"Oh my dear, sweet little son. Did you honestly believe that you could ever really forget me? I still exist, my little alabastar child. Don't go thinking you appeared out of nothing." I froze, my eyes growing wide. My heart was speeding up furiously, the thumping sound incredibly loud, clouding my speech and mind. All I could think of was that crushing pain in the pit of my body, the pounding that wouldn't stop asserting itself.
"E-excuse me..." I choked, hiding my emotions beneath a deep bow. Then, I took off, rearing into the undergrowth of the birch forest. I couldn't let anyone see me in this condition, as I had something to take care of.
.....:I raced across the brush, finally settling upon a hill with a good view of the sky. I held my heavy head in a slouch, my eyelids shut tight, my ears pinned onto my head.
"Mi madre...¿Por qué hace usted esto a mí? What sort of cruel reason do you have for this sort of punishment...now of all times?" I nearly bellowed, stopping every few syllables to catch my breath.
"Now, now. I don't need you throwing a temper tantrum. Your poor mother is just lonely....that's all." I nearly screamed at the statement, tossing my head towards the sky, pawing at the air, trying to grab hold of the voice that so distantly called out from the heavens.
"Lonely?! I'm not simply a tool to be used in order to be in company with!" I paused, slamming my hooves into the ground. My heart was going to explode at the rate it was pounding.
"If you wanted 'company', why not find someone of your stature to do that for you!?"
.....:I heard a distant laughter, followed by an eerie silence. Not even the sounds of the forest whisped through my pinned ears. All I could hear was the slowing of my heartbeat, and my breath sluggishly returning to it's normal pace. I shut my eyelids even tighter, wincing, before the crushing pain finally diminished from my chest. Slowly, I opened my lids, my ears perking up to find the forest no different than it was just a few moments ago. Hoovebeats scattered in the distance, and I soon realized my rudeness that occured only minutes before. I turned, walking steadily from the tip of the hill, downwards, towards the approaching group. It must've been about...three deer, I suppose, two I regonized. My mind was a bit fuzzy afterwards, although I presumed they didn't seem too worried. Miss Ravenflight was grinning, after all. Then, I heard a voice, not nearly quite as demanding as the one I had heard moments earlier.
"You okay, Wud?" Miss Ravenflight whispered, and I turned my head abrubtly.
"Yes. I am fine, Miss Ravenflight." I replied after exahaling a breath.
"I'm not one for large groups, I suppose. Pardon me for my rudeness, Miss." I chuckled nervousy, before continuing to go about playing once more.
.....:Thinking for awhile amongst the playful encounter, I decided that it may be best for a change of scenery in order to keep everyone enertained. After a quick toss of my antlers, I led the group towards the playground rocks, watching each deer carefully so that nothing, dangerous, may occur. After all. I'd like to think Sir Rajan as an almost 'son'-like figure, since I had watched him grow from fawn to stag. I do believe he has been adopted though, which comforts me in slight. And Miss Ravenflight, well, she was injured. ...her leg. That was what I remembered I had to attend to. I paused upon the stone, staring to the gash she held and back out to the landscape once again, thinking.
"Ah."I whispered, before trotting towards a sleeping deer. Perhaps a bit of this 'forest magic' may assist in my goal. I casted a spell upon the doe, enveloping everything I could see into a bright, cascading light. Whatever I had cast, seemed to work, and the doe appeared feeling much better. I breathed a sight of relief, before that drowsy feeling overtook me and I drifted into a deep sleep.
.....:After I awoke, I instantly knew that terrible, crushing feeling I had felt the day before wasn't going to startle me....at least in the next day or so. I took a deep breath of fresh air into my nostrils, grinning as the scent of flowers and grasses overtook my senses. A breeze gently whisped through the forest, brushing past the trees and causing the grasses to sway. My fur danced in the brief gust, before I set out to walking as I do everytime I wake. I suppose I've never been one to simply wake up, but not to stir.
.....:I felt an overwhelming smile grace my face when I pricked my ears to find the sound of eager hoofbeats thundering across the near landscape. It was a light, gentle sound that's now become almost musical to my ears, and a few moments later, I ran towards the source. Quickly, I found Miss Poltergeist wandering about the greener part of the forest, and I soon found myself nearly attacking her with a nuzzle. Surprised at my own forceful actions, I bowed with eager intermintance.
"Sorry...I guess I couldn't help myself." I held an innocent grin on my face, a slight chuckle emulating beneath my words. After a few minutes of hopping around the forest floor, though, I instisted that we may take a trip to the ruins, so that we might find something even sillier to do there. Miss Poltergeist...really has brought my out of my shell, I suppose. Not that I would be saying it's not a bad thing, but rather, it's caused me to become much more appreciative of social interaction.
......:Deer came and went as Miss Poltergeist and I romped about the forest floor. I do believe we even engaged a bit of 'deer spying', if that's what one would call it. Either way, it's been awhile since I haven't been able to stop laughing. Then, later within the depths of the ruins, our group stumbled upon two matching fawns, with flowers opposite of eachother. Puzzled, we approached the two, which turned out to be harmless residents of this mighty forest. They seemed quite kind, and I do hope to run into them again someday in the future.
.....:The group eventually meadered it's wat to the side of the pond, and all the older deer layed down in a line, slightly tired from fighting the gusts that had made their way throughout the forest consitantly for the day. The fawn however, from what I presumed, was having any of that. I still chuckle at that fawn's enthusiasm for such a priority for playing. They bellowed loudly, right into our ears, and we all stood up with impending questions. Then, just as we seemed to act a bit angry, the fawn stuck it's tounge out and chuckled with it's light voice. It was just playing! It really was a silly thing, I hope to perhaps play with that fawn and the other grown deer soon.
.....:Eventually, the group trickeled out to simply Miss Poltergeist and I. I was taken aback so suddenly when I finally noted the phenomenom, as I had even barely realized my manners to wish them farewell. I noticed too, that the voices had dimmed, and I found myself pausing in the still spring air. I turned to the pond for a moment, then back to Miss Poltergeist. I occasionally observed a white doe that had appeared earlier romp across the forest grounds, sprinting with eager grace and carefree worries. I furrowed my brow, thinking about it. I don't believe mi mama announced having another child....so I suppose I became sidetracked on how exactly another deer could permanatly be doused in a white pelt. No more than a few seconds later, though, I broke from my trance when Miss Poltergeist began hopping upon the soft grass near the shore. I laughed, and soon joined in the games.
.....:A thought graced my mind, and before I knew it, I found myself playfully nipping at Miss Poltergeist's ear, only to jog a meager distance away from her soon after. I smirked, raising a brow, attempting to see if the action would change her expression in the way I expected. It did, for a brief second, before I realized that she returned the fawn-like act right back at me. I was taken a back, flicking the ear that just moments before had been vengefully nibbled on. Letting out a chuckle, we soon found ourselves hypnotized by this game of I'd say....almost a chase. Sadly though, I knew I was growing drowsy, and finally embraced her in a long nuzzle before drifting off to sleep.
I'm generally not competitive, I suppose, but I really did think Miss Poltergeist may have won that game.
<3 :3 Intriguing, as always!
