*psst* Anybody else remember the Serendipity books?

I have a feeling it's another of those silly Pacific Northwest-exclusive things that I grew up with, but yeah.






(If you go to any tourist-type store in Seattle, you can find this book)



But yes..! Did anybody else grow up reading these books? I know I'm not an artist to any degree, but Robin James's artwork has always been highly inspiring to me and of course the stories are simply darling.

Ahhhh yay

Ahhhh yay <3 I'm so happy that at least two other people remember these books!

I read all the time when I was little and I remember my daycare had a ton of these books and I'd read them and look at the illustrations for so long that my knees would lock.
Flutterby is in my book collection, but that's the only one I have :'( *wants all of them*

I think mine was/is Flutterby, but I can't rightly remember. I read the stories about horses the most x)

oh my god YES! i had almost all of em'. maybe. i had alot. not kiyomi. i remember one where a mother horse had to leave her dying daughter or something. it made me cry ;_; i was just a kid...
they had a serendipity cartoon too.

I think my favorite one was Kiyomi. (I always liked Sumi better than Kiyomi xD)
But the one about a green seagull that couldn't fly was also cute (He had a difficult name xD I can't remember it x.x)
And Maui-Maui Shocked

I remember these! Well, maybe not these exactly...But I do remember Serendipity books. Mainly, I remember as a kid how cool the word 'Serendipity' sounded.

My favorite had to be Catundra. Had a lot of self esteem issues as a child and that one always made me feel better. ^_^

They actually dont sell these books in Australia, they are rather rare. I got my hands on one with flutterby I think it was. Where she had a baby. It was a magical book and empowered me to draw more.
