This picto belongs to a little ...entity... named Nimbus. And while I'm working on getting a bio up, in the meanwhile, Nimbus will just be called upon to tell you a little about itself. Right, Nimbus?
"...It's kinda more left...I suppose..."
Uhhh....What isn't, Nimbus?
"My 'self.' I'm left-hoofed. So I can't be 'right.'"
...Alright...So, are you like a TEF deer, Nimbus?
"...For now. I guess I may change my mind later...Being the feeling you get when you wake up and you saw the meaning of life in a dream... But then you forgot it... I may want to do that, next. I've been a cloud, before. That was alright."
You do that...Wait, you used to be a cloud?
"And then... I wanted to be a deer... So I found one... And was it."
Well, are you a boy or a girl?
"...Maybe. I'll think about it."
Your favorite things?
"...The feeling of silk. Lighter-than-air travel. Mamihlapinatapai, if I'm watching. The wave nature of light. Auroras. The feeling of being so high up that nothing can hurt me but getting back down. Sitting on clouds, even when I'm the cloud I'm sitting on.... Naps."
Well, that's some special stuff....I....Yeah, I'm about of ideas of things you'd be willing to tell our lovely audience. I promise I'll get to work on your bio soon. Maybe try some CSS: anyone want to help me with that?
Nimbus is still young, so feel free to ask Nimbus questions as well; I'm building Nimbus as I go, so questions help a lot!
So interesting, love this. I
Nimbus, have you ever been anything besides a cloud before?
How did storms affect you when you were a cloud?
Why do you want to be a deer?
Can you do anything that other deer can't as a deer? (not including changing shape)
#1: "...Lots of things. I was
#2: "...Like watching siblings go to college... Or relatives die... It's sort of a big affect ... The words aren't the right shape... It was always a 'watching' feeling ... not a 'happening' feeling...?"
#3: "...Well, I became one, first... And I kind of liked the shape... And drifted downward for a while... And then it turned out I couldn't get back up. So I had to... Not dissipate...So I became a deer that wasn't a cloud. Mostly."
#4: "When I sit... in the air... I can make a cloud... Out of the little bit of cloud around my ankles... And I can remember being a cloud, I guess..."
Do you like it here? Do you
Do you have any relatives? Any cloud friends?
What's your favorite shape to be?
What's your worst fear?
What is your fondest wish?
What do you think of the Twin Gods?
Do you need to eat? Sleep? Drink?
[[Hee, such a cute idea. I like "it" already.]]
What do you look like? Or do
You know what a college is, so I assume that you aren't bound to over the TEF forest, how do you get from the skies of the Endless forest to the other world?
@ Ocean: #1: "When it's
#1: "When it's older, I'll know if I like it...Maybe... There can be badness without it being bad, I think."
#2: Everyone is related to me... Because they, too... are all made up of relations. And cloud-me...there are bits of that connection between cloud-me and this.... Oh, and also plants...
...But no friends.
#3: *with somewhat more emotion than previously* "What's the word for when you think you recognize a shape... But then, even the moment you're reaching it, it's not the same anymore and you don't know the new shape? ... I don't know it. When someone sees them... They think. That's the best part, I think."
#4: "...We need signs that we exist to live. That thing, where you become so fine that your body becomes air, and there is no sign you exist... That's what I'm afraid of. Dissipating..."
#5: "I'd like to live... In the inside of an eyeball... Not because I want it. Just to see... But it may be something different later."
#6: "How can they be twins if they don't have parents? Do the statues have parents? ...Are those twins, then?"
#7: "Oh, I forgot... Probably. At some point. ... I'll do something about it, I guess..." *makes absolutely no movement to go do such a thing.* ((The short answer is, yes. But it forgets this pretty frequently.))

@ Meadow:
#1: "I look like myself, of course, no matter what I look like... People who pretend to look like other things... I'm not sure they can be good people. ... Because there's no honesty."
Since Nimbus is being obtuse for a question that has a straightforward answer, allow me: Nimbus mostly resembles a normal human-faced fawn, and as an adult will resemble a normal human-faced deer, since it is inhabiting the body of a deer and all. That said, its fur colors are noticably paler and less saturated than a normal deer. Its fur is also curlier and poofier, to retain a sort of cute cloud-like look. Its eyes are large, heavy-lidded, and a pale silver-blue. Arounds its ankles and legs are little tufts of cloud, which can expand outward as he likes.
When it takes other shapes, it's because it's exited its deer body and become a cloud again, so it looks like a little, puffy white cloud. I think it hides the deer body somewhere in its center of mass.
Best not dwell on the physics there.
#2: "...Wind."
...Now I want to draw it
So that would imply that the Endless Forest isn't endless... Or is the sky not bound by the same laws as on the forest floor? Or maybe it's just different for every deer, some seem to have trouble finding their way out, while others travel from the forest into the real world with ease.../randomwildtangent
Do you prefer to be alone, or are you interested in interacting with others?
What do you think most about in your spare time?
Where did you get the body of the deer you inhabit?
Dooo eeet. "...Yes.... It's
"...Yes.... It's like that, I think... If you unfolded a menger sponge, you'd get another menger sponge. That's what a menger sponge means. You could unfold it a million, billion times... And you could unfold more, identical, sponges.... That's endless. But there's stuff... Outside the Menger Sponge. And how much Sponge there is is also dependant... On where you're looking, in the greater network...."
Uhhh, Nimbus, that wasn't a question....
#1: "No. That's no an 'or' question. It's an 'and' question."
#2: "...One day I'll overflow... I can't....think about what I think most about. Because then I'd only think about what I'm thinking which is thinking about what I'm thinking which is thinking about.... See? I'll overflow. Lots of stuff. As much stuff as possible..."
#3: "...It was just sort of... Over there. There wasn't...Anyone in it."
I keep feeling like I need to provide translations.
Oh, and his comments about the menger sponge reminded me of This song, and so we begin Nimbus's character soundtrack with a song that's alarmingly up-beat for him.
Done. =D I'm actually amazed
He lost me at #2 >.>
You know he also kind of reminds me of This song that I heard earlier... aptly named Stay in the Clouds.
Oh, dude. That is so awesome!
Oh, dude. That is so awesome! Thank you! *hugs* That will so be its bio image, possibly well after I get drawings of it done. It is perfect.
Huh. I just now noticed that I, for ease, apparently started using gendered pronouns on it. Bad me. I should really let it make that choice for its own reasons, provided it ever realizes that it might have or want one.
I think what Nimbus was driving at for #2 was that it thinks about a wide variety of things, probably too many to name. Its mind kind of wanders like that... But the bulk of Nimbus's answer was actually him explaining that it can't answer that question, because it'll trap Nimbus in a self-referential loop of its own thoughts.
Also, that's a pretty song, and well-suited for Nimbus. Onto the list it goes.
Your welcome ^.^ Ah, I
Ah, I noticed that.. it kind of slipped me up into using 'him' too. I've noticed that some characters around here, though technically without gender are referred to as though they do for convenience. Trying hard to actually think of it as an it.
Oh thanks for clearing that up, I can... kind of see it now? Upon rereading.
Glad it works, I thought it suited it. (All these 'its' are confusing meeee)
Also, since it seemed disapproving of my word choice, I'm rephrasing:
Do you prefer to be alone, and are you interested in interacting with others?
I think the pronoun-type
"I really like Nimbus, I think N's cute. I hope N and my deer get along." Or whatever. It's short, sweet, and removes the awkwardness of 'It'.
"Yes and yes."
I will work on this bio, as soon as I am done being terrified by fancy formatting. Anyway, N'll be chilling in the forest when I can get my connection going.
