"H-heeeh..!"
16.10.2015
Felt very energetic this morning. Actually, for the first time in a long while felt good, happy.
Burnt some of his overwhelming energy to prancing around, being social to strangers and styling one certain nameless. Got surprised when a delicious looking bunny turned into a full grown deer right in front of his eyes. Still much to see and learn about the forest, it seems.
Happened & info:
-Wound on his hind has healed and left a small scar which shows as a small bump on his otherwise smooth appearance.
-Has pretty much learned the ways of the forest. Knows how to move around and where to find what he needs.
-Misses home and the herd/pack he left behind. But the homesickness is fading and he has started enjoying his life here as well.
Name: Marrok
Gender: Male
Age: Young adult (18-19 in human years)
Species: A mix of an antelope and probably a white tail deer
Size: 31 in Apel's size chart
Diet: Omnivore
Scent: Sand dust, dry hay
Speaks in: "#fad788"
Forest looks: Kabuki/skull mask, crying idol/monarch pelt, swan antlers
Cocky :: Young :: trustworthy :: suspicious :: curious :: sleek :: serious :: observant :: careless :: competitive :: friendly :: moodswings :: quiet :: spontaneous :: confident
-Marrok is a young buck who is still learning how the world works and about himself. He may be arrogant sometimes, thinking he knows the best and doesn't enjoy being bossed around too much.
-He is relatively polite and in normal circumstances will greet the strangers. His attention span isn't very long and if the stranger isn't interesting enough to him, he might soon lose interest and find a way to leave the company.
-May lose his temper in seconds but before this will hold it in for a good while and even appear calm before the outbreak.
-Doesn't mind fawns. Isn't particularly interested in them but tolerates them well. If no one else does, will take action if sees one treated badly.
-A great fear for fire after witnessing a forest fire.
-He might appear somewhat stiff and serious sometimes but it's not hard to make him excited. He's actually very curious and doesn't always think about the consequences of his actions and decisions. In a sense he can be spontaneous and just throw himself into another exciting adventure.
-Just like anybody, isn't fond of any real fights but will take the challenge if sees it necessary or gets annoyed enough. Due to his still young age, he might think too highly of his own fighting skills and more easily accept the challenge.
-Fur is sleek and short, partly waterproof. Very shiny, rather thin.
-Fur under chin and on throat is very soft but the fur on back and tail is rough.
-The claws behind legs are long and curvy.
-Canine-like pointy nose.
-The pointy, stiff things above eyes are black and rough skin.
-Antlers are still growing. Abnormal and growing tiny spikes.
Fighting style:
-Fast and agile. Average strenght. Uses his strong legs for quick blows and kicks rather than his antlers for pushing. If given a chance, bites his opponent with his strong jaws and canine teeth. x
-Has inherited antelope's fast running speed and great stamina.
-He's still young and practicing by sparring. Isn't very experienced yet but relatively not too bad either. He does not know all of his limits yet and might make bad mistakes.
[friendly]
Haytham - Has seen this being around more often than others so far. The fox helped him along with a bunch of others earlier and he won't forget it. Doesn't yet know much about him but might find him a good ally.
Lieva - The strange doe has popped into his company a few times in the forest. Feels intrigued by the doe's fiery nature but wouldn't want to piss her off.

[avoids]
Sacrilege - Met him on his first day in the forest. The dangerous beast could only mean harm to him and he will do his everything to avoid meeting the demon again - especially while wounded.

The maroon coat was covered by a thin layer of dust and small bits of dry hay and leaves as the buck had been lying there for days. The Birch Forest had somewhat reminded him of home - it was sunny and dry with large fields of hay. A woodpecker knocked a tree trunk somewhere in the distance.
A strange looking doe had appeared out of nowhere and the buck's head had lifted from the ground to watch the doe settling herself down. His dark ear flicked as the stranger opened her throat for some words.
"You mean this..?" He dared to reply her after a short moment and moved his wounded hind leg slightly. "No, I don't think so."
His yellow eyes peered his new company slightly curiously. Sitting around sure had been boring to a young buck like him and despite sometimes even fearing some of the weird looking residents in this new place, this time he was content to have someone to talk to.
"You don't think so?" She
Marrok turned both of his
"I was nearly caught by human hunters, they gave me this. - Perhaps being left hungry would make someone angry, though.." He pondered. He hadn't thought about it from that angle. "It was one nasty arrow. I wouldn't have gotten it off by myself. Lucky for me, I got help with it." He found himself talking unusually much to a complete stranger. Perhaps he had just been so much alone and still he craved for a little chitchat with someone.
"A human.. hunter?" Didn't
The more she talked to the stag, the more interesting he became. He seemed.. foreign. And maybe he was. After all, she had stayed in this forest her whole life and never once heard anything about a human or arrow.
"
"
Marrok ogled the doe,
"No, I'm not from around here. It still remains a mystery to me that how I got here in the first place. I did have a little taste of that 'brutality' you're apparently talking about..." His black lips curled a little downwards by the memory of a large, white stag pushing him off his feet by the pond while others were helping him with his wound. He had also said the forest wasn't always nice... but apart from that incident, everyone had been more nice to him than any stranger in his own world would have been.
"Lieva." He tasted the name and peered it's bearer, head unconsciously tilting slightly. "Well, I'm Marrok. No nicknames." A faint smile tugged the corners of his lips. "I guess it's safe to assume you're one of the locals here so I have to ask you, how big is this place? Some told me it's like... a trap. I mean, how can a place be endless anyway..? He sure had had some time to wonder these things but it was just like how one would wonder how space could be endless.
A long thorn? That made it
Lieva offered a smile of her own when the stag gave his name.
"Fortunately it didn't.."
"That sure as hell sounds bad. I mean, what if you got into a real trouble with some maniac? If there's no way out then you should basically go in to hiding or fight till death? ...Erm, hypothetically speaking." He didn't want to make it sound that he himself would be a wuss but he also wanted to stay realistic when it came to strong opponents. He had already seen a few individuals that were much larger and dangerous looking than himself.
He flicked his dark ear for the doe's question. Then he gave a look for their surroundings. "A bit like this. Huge, huge plains of dry hay and dust. High mountains in the far distance where the sun set. If you traveled to the East, you would find nearly endless amounts of forest. But... I don't know, the trees, the plants were different than here somehow. - I don't recall ever seeing white trees like this. Are they edible? His eyes fixed to scan one tall birch tree near by.
The doe closed her eyes for a
Lieva listened carefully as he described his home world. It sounded vast and huge. Lieva had never seen a mountain; the closest thing to a mountain they had in the forest was Red Hill.
"Well.. Luckily I can handle
His eyes peered up to the great heights of the green birch trees that were basking in the sunlight as the doe talked about them. "Not that I'd eat them either, just curious. Small and running sounds like a better prey for me." Though lately he had been enjoying only the green vegetation as his dinner. It didn't flee.
His brows furrowed into a more serious expression for the doe's question. "No, I don't. I've heard of different ways of getting out.. to different worlds, but to be honest, all the information I've gotten has been confusing and not very accurate. I'm not sure what's true and what's not. - I belong to my homeland and when I'm healed, I'm going to find a way back home." This, he was sure about. This didn't seem like a place where he would like to stick around. Just the thought of hanging around in a 'cage' suffocated him.
Hope you don't mind me

The fox, long tail dragging, had made it a goal to seek out the stag he’d tended do a few days prior. Anything to get him out and about. He hated sitting still for long periods that didn't involve hunting or tracking down animals. Especially as of late when getting on his paws and moving around seemed to be better than lingering in his own abusive thoughts.
Between his teeth he held a folded leaf-like pouch. The smell of the leftover honey comb wafting up into his nose. While he wasn't sure or not if Marrok was even still alive—a wounded leg wasn’t good for anyone, never mind a deer—the fox liked to believe he was. Inner initiative giving birth to the hope he wasn’t tracking him down for no good reason.
Growing closer to Marrok’s location, the second scent came into range. Another was with him. Or eating him. Err. It wasn’t until further investigation had him dipping his head in what could have been relief. It was a doe, and she definitely wasn’t eating him. In fact, his ears picked up the casual conversation they appeared to be having.
“Hope you can find a way back,” he commented, sliding into the conversation as he drew nearer. “No place like home.” He came to a halt and placed the leaf pouch in the grass. Green eyes regarding both of them evenly. “What she says is true. Survival here is a bit intense. Different.” Maybe. He shrugged, once again remembering that Marrok probably didn’t come from the human world. Offering a tired smile the fox sat on his haunches. “How you holdin’ up, Marrok?”
"But of course." She offered
When Marrok told her about his quest to get back home, she almost felt sad for him. The doe couldn't fathom being lost in a whole different world. She knew a few deer who had the power to travel to a different world, her mother being one of them. But for some reason, she never bothered to ask about it.
When a sudden and unfamiliar voice entered the conversation, the Spitfire's orange spots quickly lit up to a fiery red as she turned her head to meet the stranger. She looked up, expecting someone much larger, only to be greeted by a small fox when she finally looked down. Oh. She felt embarrassed, if only because her blinking markings always gave away her emotions. The doe let out a deep breath.
Of course I don't!
____
Marrok's head turned to catch a sight of a familiar creature. His eyes followed the fox that made it's way to them.... unfortunately Marrok's memory had already lost his name.
He couldn't help but catch the change in Lieva's appearance and he looked a little perplexed by it. There sure were some strange beings in this forest... Though he didn't realize he himself might look strange in someone's eyes as well.
"Ahm... I'm fine. Alive." He replied Haytham's question. "Walking is still painful so I suppose I'll be sitting here for a long while." A small sigh.
"Hmh.. no, I was on my own before I got here. I was fine before the humans attacked." He granted the doe a faint, but perhaps a little fake smile. He chose not to tell them about his family or former herd. It wasn't a painful subject but he had been stupid to leave them. Stupid and arrogant.
Had to log because of lag.
—
A quick look over of the stag had Haytham's beliefs settled. He looked better, despite the soreness Marrok mentioned. Turning to the butterfly, Haytham gave a bit of a low headbob. His way of greeting. He wasn't one to bow when everyone was practically a mile taller than him. “I’m Haytham,” he told her. “Came around to make sure Marrok here wasn’t carrion.” He sniffed, his smile persisting as he plopped the pouch with the honey comb in it, closer to Marrok. “What’s left of the stuff before,” he commented, as if it wasn’t obvious now that the little pouch contained the remainder of the honey. The fox didn’t think Marrok would need it much now, however, seeing as how the wound appeared to be closed up and on that healing path.
Laying down, Haytham crossed his paws. Chin resting on tiny ankles as he listened to the two speak. Big ears perched rather lazily on either side of his horned head.
"Lieva." The doe said to the
Only because she wouldn't mind seeing him around again.
Marrok's gaze dropped down to
"Thanks. I appreciate it." He thanked politely and with his black lips pulled the pouch closer to himself to safety.
Despite feeling like interrupting the doe, he let her finish. The buck's head was set to getting back to his own world, that was the only thing he had really been wanting ever since getting here. Home...
His head shook lightly. "At home we had better chances of running away from the predators rather than fighting... I'm sorry, I have to go back." He peered the doe for a short moment, then snorted. "But by the looks of it, that won't happen for a while. No running away with a leg like this." His dark eyelids closed for a moment, then opened again to gaze the sunny hay field. His leg still ached.
"So far it hasn't been that bad around here, though. I wish no predator will find me here."
“Some things here are
Lieva shrugged. "Don't know
The young buck fell silent
But that didn't mean he wouldn't have been grateful for the company and all the help he had received. If anything, he was in debt for all who had helped him - he wouldn't turn them away. And right now he found himself comforted by some company.
"Mm.." He murmured quietly. "I've been meaning to ask, are there any leaders around here? Or are everyone just on their own?" After a short silence he changed the topic and lifted his slowly lowered head back up to let his gaze scan the two.
The fox shook his head at
"There's a few who like to
Marrok noticed the hint of
"I assume you two are on your own, then..?" At least the fox sounded and seemed like he didn't have a group of his own. But foxes were known not to move in packs anyway - though he had never really chattered with one so he wouldn't know better.
Haytham raised his brows
