Wandered around in the forest sizing up some males for shits n giggles, impressed some ladies with his antler ramming (into trees) before heading to the pond and seeing Umay. Noticed the lioness was accompanied with another male (Raya?), he seemed harmless, relaxed, greeted and rested down before company arrived (irl)

• A bulletproof shell. Will rarely reveal any emotional behavior or history. Way to reserved and makes him feel weak if he were to do anything along those lines. However, the brute does have a heart, eventually after a long time relationship and the growth of trust, he will open up.
• Erebus is a quite vulgar, infamous, jerk. The lupine elk doesn't enjoy showing much emotion aside from anger and fury. Doesn't really understand how to communicate properly, so usually comes across as rude and basically a jerk.
• With this buck having a mouthful of thick bladed teeth, he constantly drools. Usually uses his snake-like tongue to attempt to soak most of it up to avoid grossing out doe's. Usually fails. Drool can be transformed into /blood/, also know as colored saliva, to scare off others.
• This huge buck is intimidating to the first sight. Since some features are a dire wolf, which is around the same size as a grey wolf, however quite built. Also, this beast also has the features of a Roosevelt Elk. With these two mammals put in one along with demon blood had created this nearly 2,000 pound brute.
• Forest actions such as sniffing/bowing/tilting head/head nod/shake is usually the only actions that he will represent unless angry. Will only do other actions toward fawns. Yeah he's a good babysitter. Although he doesn't see an offspring in his future, he would make a great father.
• Spitfire. Very violent temper. No tolerance. Just a flat out violent man. A large part grown from his curse.
• Likes the ladies, but is usually too awkward to flirt smoothly or hit on them. Just stalks them. Doesn't feel rut hormones. Will not participate in it. Will only mate with the doe's he loves.

Nika : Pretty doe he met late at night. Found her as prey at first but then saw her as simple company. Enjoys her presence. Super curious girl. Likes. Might seek out.
Eupé : Confident cat he came across one lazy day. Didn't really want to talk to the feline at first, actually contemplated on killing her, but found out she wasn't too bad. Stuck around. Likes her personality. Likes. Might seek out.
Zafeiri: Pretty doe, nice company, will seek out.
Umay: Pretty Kitty. Nice calm company, may seek out.
Kato: Blue buck he keeps running into. Ladies man. Unsure of, curious. May approach one day.
Athena: New encounter. Very pretty. May seek out.
Rut Information:
Is not interested in breeding. May go around knocking some young bucks to their butts just to impress the ladies, but isn't too keen on passing his genes around like business cards, will only save something "so valuable" for a future lover. Also not interested in having his offspring run around in the forest and have nothing to do with it, would rather spend time raising the young himself with a partner. Essentially, he was entered to just have a little fun, nothing too serious. ( An involved non-participant. )

That's the thing about depression: A human being can survive almost anything, as long as she sees the end in sight. But depression is so insidious, and it compounds daily, that it's impossible to ever see the end. The fog is like a cage without a key.
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.
The sky was painted orange and pink as the sun was setting. The trees were turning darker and darker shades of green and looked like tall cathedral spires reaching for the sky against the brightly colored background. The saint herself was settling by her tree, soft moss beneath her body making a nice and comfortable bed and large ferns shading her from the cool breeze that began to blow in the night as Autumn neared.
Her bird companions had nestled themselves in the knot of her tree, watching over and protecting her things. But the night was becoming cooler and cooler, and all four decided to push out her cloak. The white mass slowly slide out of the knot at their effort and fell onto the saint. "Oh, thank you," she said to them, and they chirped softly in reply.
His eyes were as bright or possibly even brighter then the sun-setting color scheme blossoming within the sky. And his body was like a silhouette wandering within the thick forest brush, his antlers latching onto pine-filled branches and thick leaves, attempting to pull him back. His canine face was struck with a blank expression, his giant frame rambling into the deep darkness to find somewhere to relax.
Suddenly, a scent shortly found his dark nostrils, he was approaching someone and he hadn't even realized it. Erebus had an extraordinary sense of smell. He was still many meters away from this encounter, but he remained still, frozen like a stone statue, his paws dug deep within the thick soil he towered over.
There was a black figure laying in the soft ferns, a white cloak wrapped neatly around her. Erebus took a few steps forward, then freezing again. He let his glowing orbs study her body, she was quite pretty. But the dark elk didn't budge, he just stayed, starring off to the female.
A strong scent reached her first, then the soft sound of footsteps. Her head quickly turned to face whatever hiding in the shadows. With her heighten senses, she could see a still form standing not too far from her, staring.
Her warrior instincts kicked in. "State your business," she demanded. If the being was looking at her as its next meal, well, it was in for a surprise.
The males eyes were now aligned with hers, he dug his gaze deeper and deeper. His body was still swallowed by the shadows, but his luminous orange eyes pulsated out from the darkness. An amused smile crawled over her pale lips. This female was daring.
He stepped out from the thick black, his full body now visible. His muscles were outlined by a silver line from the glistening last beams of the scalding sun. His antlers were just freshly sharpened. Perfectly acute and deadly to the touch. His large dire wolf paws expanded, letting the claws leak out into the soil, as he studied the gentle, yet mysterious features the audacious female presented.
His large jaws peeled open, his bold ivories now presented to her, "My business..," he chuckled darkly, his chest pumping with air slowly and vibrations rumbled within his throat. "Just gazing, pretty one," the male purred. He wasn't really purposely complementing the doe, however, her appearance was appealing, he was just curious on what she would say. He was testing her.
Her fierce hazel gaze stared back at his glowing orange orbs. "'Just gazing?'" It made her more wary, but she was not afraid. Nika had been in battle and killed many men and faced dangers that most had only imagined going through.
"Well, gazing from the shadows does not seem so innocent to me," the saint said. She had had random deer and fawns come and cuddle with her, and that did not bother her. But what he did looked more like stalking.
The large beast chuckled, his voice rumbled within him, echoing against the trees and against the rocks. He stood tall, his head held strong on his shoulders. Innocent was never the word to describe such an infamous beast like himself, he was never innocent. But the closest he got to it was when he wasn't hungry, when he didn't feel like killing. And now, he wasn't too hungry.
"I am not innocent. But I do not wish to hunt you," he spoke, tilting his canine skull slightly.
OOC: You don't realize how much I love the fact that his voice is Riddick's. LOL.
His deep voice rumbled through the air and her body. His voice made her shiver, not out if fear, but by how deep it was. The saints neck craned up to gaze at the tall beast, his dark fur as black as the shadows around him. Nika herself was a large doe, but she was smaller than him. Size didn't mean that one could win in a fight. It took skill, and technique, and the strength one did have.
"I did not say you were innocent. You clearly do not look innocent, that is why I questioned your 'Just gazing.'" She was staring at him, unwavering. "Then why gaze? For perhaps when you are hungry?"
@NikaGika: oh yay! I know I thought it would be awesome BD glad you like it ;u;
--
He snickered again, quieter this time. He finally unlocked his long gaze from the doe's hazel eyes and glanced at his paws. "I choose my meals carefully. And, for your information, I do not have a conversation with my prey," he spoke again, in his rumbling dark tone, and his eyes latched onto the female's once again.
"Now please, let me introduce myself, m'lady." he said, "My name, is Erebus." he added with confidence as he lifted his skull, antlers pressing against the thick brush that barely towered over him.
She stared at the dark stag. Perhaps he was telling the truth, but she would not let her guard down to this deep-voiced beast. She pulled her white cloak around her body tighter, adjusting her body to be more comfortable.
She would have said it was a pleasure to meet him, but so far it wasn't. "Hello, then, Erebus," she said to be at least half decent.
He nodded slowly, taking another few steps forward. Now just a few yards away from her. He took one last huff before settling himself against a large pine, his legs caved neatly beneath him as he relaxed, his eyes not moving from hers.
"Do you not have a name, doe?" he said harshly, he expected her to introduce herself in return, and people who didn't, was insulting toward him. Especially if he did it first.
"I will introduce myself once I feel I can trust you enough," Nika said, hearing the harshness in his voice. He gave off this energy that made her spine quiver; it was his demonic energy, and her saintliness was picking it up. "I hope you understand my caution."
Erebus was slightly shocked, he stared at her with disbelief for a few moments, now that is something he had never encountered before, someone that can't even announce their name? How eccentric. His jaw clenched tight as he scowled at her, his muscles flexing slightly.
"I would be lying if I said I did," he said, "But I will not question you." for now. The buck remained still, unsure of what to say now, he just observed her, the light aura that radiated off of her displeased him. But he did what he could to keep the instincts away.
She internally grinned, seeing how her refusal to introduce herself seemed to annoy him. She watched his heavy mass settle, his muscle flexing and rolling as he sat himself down.
"I appreciate it," she said. "Well, he is certainly trying to gain my trust," she thought to herself. A yawn escaped her lips; she was tired, but she wasn't going to sleep while he was around. "Come closer," Nika said, "I do not wish to raise my voice anymore to speak to you." Perhaps this would show him that she did not fear him.
He narrowed his eyes, his orange orbs forming into small slits, "Closer..." he said, with a small tilt of his head, but aside from that, he was frozen solid, not inching a limb, "Then do not shout, m'lady, I will hear you fine," the large buck explained with a strict yet content tone.
This female was quite strange to him, she seemed completely fearless, and it almost worried him. What was she all about? He couldn't trust her. Yet anyway.
He kept a long stare before softly glancing around to see if any curious creatures were stalking them.
Nika shrugged; she thought the offer for him to come closer would show him that she trusted him enough not to hurt her.
It was night now; all traces of the sun completely gone, and the only thing lighting up the night was the moon and fireflies. The air grew chilly, the saint's breath becoming visible in the dim light of the moon.
Her eyes examined the muscular creature. She had never seen him in this forest before, so perhaps he was new. "Have you lived here long?" she suddenly asked.
"No." he said abruptly, his eyes cast off into the distance, then snapping back to the females breath which was seeping from her lips and swirling around in the space between them, "Have you?" He asked with a small bit of curiosity before focusing back on the clouds pouring from her breath, "Are you cold, doe?" He continued, it was only his instinct to ask, if she was, usually he would go and share his warmth with her, but now, he wasn't too sure. As soon as he asked the question, he quickly regretted it.
He kept his orange eyes on her, as if expecting her to get up and walk away. He huffed and a large cloud slithered out from his black jowls, he doubted she would care if this conversation ended there, and he doubted he would either. He wasn't quite used to speaking to creature's within this forest, and he didn't expect any love or close relation to come out of it anyway, it secretly broke him down, he had to take the fact that he was alone. That's what they told him. No one would love this beast. So he always just kept those emotions and feelings deep inside him.
"How long have you been here?" she asked, her head tilted to the side slightly in curiosity. "And I have been here for eight months." Eight long months. Time sure flew by quickly. But even after so long, her homesickness was just as fresh as the first day here.
The saint's forest-colored eyes looked him over once more, scanning over his red paws, then back to his glowing orange eyes. Fiery. Deadly. Yet, she saw something within them, something tucked far back within his soul. She did not know what it was, but it was there.
Erebus stared at the doe in disbelief for a few moments, he remained still, quite unsure of what to do. Finally, he gathered himself and took a few shorts steps forward before settling himself down, pressing his heat into the female beside him. He thought nothing of it, it was just strictly instinct. He believed this meant nothing, just a simple act of kindness. It even surprised him that the beast would do such a thing.
"A few days..." he said, his voice vibrating into the females small frame. He tried to avoid the question on why he had entered the forest, but even if it did somehow end up in their conversation, he would keep distant or possibly even lie. He would do whatever he could to hide the real him.
She supposed this was the act that made her trust him enough to reveal her name. His large mass pressed beside hers, the beast's warm fur and body quickly warming hers up. Nika usually did well in the cold, but she thought perhaps that her blood thinned during the summer.
With a sigh, she relaxed against his form, almost half-tempted to rest her head on him. "Did you die? That is how I arrived here," the saint said, "And my name is Nika by the way."
Erebus kept his head forward, staring at the cluster of trees that he was previously resting in. He saw a small fawn and mother sleeping together, he averted his gaze quickly, not letting hunger overrun him, he then watched the fireflies dance ahead of them instead.
"No.." he said, his voice quiet, almost delicate. His ears flickered at her explanation... she died? How strange... was this place a Heaven? A Hell? For him, it was definitely a Hell, however, he didn't recall dying, there was a way out. And as he looked around at all the happy beings around him, this must be a happy place, but why here? Why was he sent here and not some dark, evil, blood thirsty place? Well, either way, this place was horrible, mainly because he missed his family. But he knew there was next to nothing for a chance to come home. How peculiar this place kept getting.
He then softly flicked his skull toward the female pressed against his body. Nika. "Good". And the name in Greek meant "Victory". His eyes complemented her beauty again, before looking straight into her eyes once more.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Nika..." he said smoothly, with a small dip of his head.
"Do you know how you came to be here?" Nika asked, genuinely curious of where this beast was from. Though, that feeling he gave off hinted at what he could be. From that, she knew that he must've been something dark, but her skills as a saint were still being discovered.
She noticed the mother and fawn as well, happily sleeping together. It made her smile. Her eyes turned to looked up at his, "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Erebus."
A yawn escaped her; she was tired, and his warm body wasn't making it any easier for her.
He looked at her again, with his fiery orbs, he swallowed a small lump before releasing a short huff, "Yes... I was sent here to be punished by a very evil being." he said, basically spitting the words out and his facial expression altered as if they left a foul taste in his mouth. Erebus was once a very gentle, kind soul, and the curse that was placed on him was what had turned him into this monster. The real him hadn't completely vannished, it was just barried deep inside him, even though he had the power to bring it back... he chose not to. He thought, he had to stay strong, don't let those feelings seep past. There wasn't a point.
The wolf-elk glanced at Nika, his muscles relaxing finally, seeing the female fall at ease. But he still wasn't going to allow any guards down. Yet anyway. But he doubted he would ever show the real him, all his real feelings.
"Why I may ask?" She was probably prodding, but she was curious. And if it was an evil being, then he must not be completely evil himself. The muscles in his body relaxed; she could feel this, and his weight shifting onto her a little more. The saint's head lowered onto her forelimbs, her hazel eyes looking up at him.
He sighed, he couldn't tell her, it would only bring memories and he would be letting his guard down. "It doesn't matter." he said again with very little emotion, but still a small dash of sadness was hiding behind his blank tone. Erebus pressed his orange eyes closed, hoping the dull pain throbbing in his chest would soon subside, but he kept still, breaths strong and long, keeping his muscles relaxed and his mouth shut.
"I supposed not, especially if it is painful," she said, "Can I at least know if you are from the human realm or not?" Her pale cheek was becoming more and more pressed against her forelegs as she relaxed. It was strange; she didn't really feel threatened by the beast anymore.
Her eyes scanned his blind eye and scars; it made her more and more curious about him. Was he a warrior? Did he get that scar from a battle? Or was it perhaps a horrible accident that disfigured him? Nika wanted to ask him so many questions, but held herself.
"Yes." he simply said, his eyes following hers, scanning her again. He felt her eyes stuck on his scars and his blind eye, just like everyone else did; he usually ignored them or he just simply threw a sharp scowl or snap of his jaws, but Nika, there was something special about her, something that calmed him. He secretly enjoyed it. But he wouldn't let himself get attached.
"It was a battle." he said, "A battle that I believed, would save my family-" he quickly snapped his mouth shut, he regretted speaking, he wished he hadn't let his personal life seep out. He looked away, his eyes cast far now, hoping she hadn't heard him, or didn't care. His chest mumbled, bubbling with a soft anger that twisted up his throat. "You foolish beast! You vowed to keep your personal life out of this! You idiot!" he repeated in his head, but he tried to remain content as much as possible in front of the doe so she wouldn't get even more curious.
"May I ask where?" Nika asked curiously. She always enjoyed hearing of places and times people came from. It fascinated her, learning of these new cultures and things about the future. She had visited the future once. It was strangely familiar to her time due to where they were at, but still fascinating nonetheless.
Her ears were focused on his when he began to tell the story of his scars, but then watched his mouth snap shut. "I am sorry for your loss," Nika said.
(Eventually xD I want to find the perfect one c:
btw I am really enjoying this rp ♥ )

"Marietta, Ohio." he said slowly, the name tasting strange in his mouth, he hadn't said it in awhile. But it didn't matter, that was past time, this was his home now.
He noticed a stray animal feeding off the sight of the two. A canine. A wolf? He expanded his nostrils and released a large huff before letting a growl bubble out from his jowls, he separated his pale lips, revealing his long ivories and snake-like deep crimson tongue. "Leave now." he ordered, his voice harsh and cruel. But the curious creature remained, not inching a limb. Until, he heard growling. This beast hungered.
OOC: I have some pictos if you'd like to take a look at them. I'll send you an email.
And same! ;u;
She raised a brow. "I have never heard of such a place," Nika said, "Is that in the land across the Atlantic?" So far, this beast was fascinating, and now she wondered what time he was from. "What year are you from?" Nika asked curiously.
She felt a deep rumble go through her body as he growled at the creature in the dark. It made her lift her head to see what he was yelling at. It lingered in the shadows, eating, then staring at them. She looked up at him, then back at the creature. It seemed harmless to her.
Nika's words were a blur to him, he had full focus on the beast swallowed by the shadows, he sensed a negative energy radiating off from it, and it made him uncomfortable. His muscles tensed, and he slowly gathered himself so Nika wouldn't slip down onto the cold earth as he removed himself. He was now towering over her, his eyes deep within the darkness.
"You need to leave," he ordered, "You are not welcome here," he added with the same loud, cruel tone. Moments past, minutes followed, and the beast still stared at the two. He stepped forward, and before he made any more then a couple yards, the beast scurried away, whimpering and yelping.
He waited a few seconds before turning to settle down next to Nika again. To her, it may have seemed to be only a curious beast that got too close... but he knew what that thing was, and it wasn't just a simple animal. "I apologize, Nika." he nodded before curling himself around the doe again.
His warmth was gone from her side, watching as the beast ordered the mysterious creature to leave. She was quiet during the stare down; perhaps he was trying to protect her? She didn't know, but finally the creature scurried off.
"Do not apologize," Nika said, welcoming his warmth as he curled back around her, "Do you know what it was?"
"I do." he simply explained, "Just a demon hungry for misery and life. They take form of certain animals they have tortured and killed and take their bodies. And they send the innocent souls to Hell." he went on with a distant tone.
Nika's eyes scanned the beast's face. Why would such a thing be lingering around here? She knew there were all kinds of creatures, but this seemed so quickened. "Are they after you?" the saint asked, her body pressed comfortably against his.
The brutes glance temporarily ambled beyond the female's monumental hazel orbs, he deliberated her facial features before separating his lips slowly, "I suppose. But I think they are finally comprehending that I am not the individual they want to outset chaos with," he elucidated with his ardent orange eyes gawking hers.
He discharged a large heave from his somber nostrils before casually glancing around the environment they rested in.
"Why are they going after you in the first place?" Nika asked, finally giving into the desire and rested her cheek on his shoulder. She was just getting sleepier and sleepier, and his shoulder looked too inviting. His scent was very strong, but it wasn't unpleasant. She knew she'd reek of him tomorrow, but that didn't bother her.
"Are you a demon, Erebus?" Nika questioned, the nagging feeling from her holy title hinting that it was so.
Erebus felt a large wash of guilt soak his mind. He still felt the tough fabric of the warrior clothes on his skin, the rifle tight in his grasp, the throbbing beat of his heart ringing in his head, the smoke stirring in his lung, the alcohol lingering on his tongue, the sting of tears in his eyes, hearing the screams of his beloved family and brothers, and the dead silence. It all came back to him.
"It's a curse." he finally said, his voice slightly shaken.
Nika frowned, "That is awful." Her ears picked up the shaking in his voice, and she nuzzled his neck gently. "Curses can always be lifted though," she said reassuringly, inhaling his scent, then sort of curl herself around him as much as she could. She was a saint, and her duty was to help people, and if comfort was what he needed, then she would give it to him without hesitation. Even with that feeling of darkness that came from him.

The saint's forest-colored eyes looked him over once more, scanning over his red paws, then back to his glowing orange eyes. Fiery. Deadly. Yet, she saw something within them, something tucked far back within his soul. She did not know what it was, but it was there.
"Yes," Nika said, answering his question.
Erebus stared at the doe in
"A few days..." he said, his voice vibrating into the females small frame. He tried to avoid the question on why he had entered the forest, but even if it did somehow end up in their conversation, he would keep distant or possibly even lie. He would do whatever he could to hide the real him.

She supposed this was the act
With a sigh, she relaxed against his form, almost half-tempted to rest her head on him. "Did you die? That is how I arrived here," the saint said, "And my name is Nika by the way."
Erebus kept his head forward,
"No.." he said, his voice quiet, almost delicate.

She noticed the mother and fawn as well, happily sleeping together. It made her smile. Her eyes turned to looked up at his, "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Erebus."
A yawn escaped her; she was tired, and his warm body wasn't making it any easier for her.
He looked at her again, with
The wolf-elk glanced at Nika, his muscles relaxing finally, seeing the female fall at ease. But he still wasn't going to allow any guards down. Yet anyway. But he doubted he would ever show the real him, all his real feelings.

Her eyes scanned his blind eye and scars; it made her more and more curious about him. Was he a warrior? Did he get that scar from a battle? Or was it perhaps a horrible accident that disfigured him? Nika wanted to ask him so many questions, but held herself.
"Yes." he simply said, his
"It was a battle." he said, "A battle that I believed, would save my family-" he quickly snapped his mouth shut, he regretted speaking, he wished he hadn't let his personal life seep out.

"May I ask where?" Nika asked
Her ears were focused on his when he began to tell the story of his scars, but then watched his mouth snap shut. "I am sorry for your loss," Nika said.
OOC: Will Erebus have a picto?
(Eventually xD I want to find
btw I am really enjoying this rp ♥ )

And same! ;u;

His warmth was gone from her
"Do not apologize," Nika said, welcoming his warmth as he curled back around her, "Do you know what it was?"
"I do." he simply explained,

"Are you a demon, Erebus?" Nika questioned, the nagging feeling from her holy title hinting that it was so.
sorry for the wait

Erebus felt a large wash of guilt soak his mind. He still felt the tough fabric of the warrior clothes on his skin, the rifle tight in his grasp, the throbbing beat of his heart ringing in his head, the smoke stirring in his lung, the alcohol lingering on his tongue, the sting of tears in his eyes, hearing the screams of his beloved family and brothers, and the dead silence. It all came back to him.
"It's a curse." he finally said, his voice slightly shaken.
Pixel by Shadowfly ♥
OOC: It's fine! Don't
