In his youth, The Red was a noble soul, embodying what he thought to be right and fair. Within years spent inside the confides of The Endless Forest, his mentality became tainted, resulting in a life plagued by violence and betrayal. After making his escape back into the wild, he recovered into a rather wise and relatively quiet stag.

Much alike to his wild brethren, he lives in the moment and spends a majority of his time trying to survive; focusing almost entirely on self-preservation. Not only does he rely on no one but himself, he also doesn’t obligate himself to anyone.

His way of thinking is unlike the human mindset, and to expect such from him will probably lead to disappointment. He is literally an animal in all ways that it implies; guided by instinct with the dignity and morals of such.
That's not to say he's disrespectful though. Survival is for the fittest. Respect is given where due, especially to his own kind. He's completely shameless in subjects that may be considered taboo, but in a casual sense. He will eliminate threats given a good opportunity, cruel as it may seem.
Honest, and very direct in his way of thinking; expressed in body language far more than speech. He rarely speaks unless addressed first, and even when he does his speech is in no way familiar to anything a human would utter.

The Red lacks the emotional intensity any human may experience. This might seem like his bonds mean less to him, but that's untrue. If bonded to someone, it's as precious to him as he's emotionally capable of.

Seldom experiences resentment, but knows to respect fear. Anything that compromises his health and safety will be remembered, and responded to appropriately.

The seasons affect his demeanor; lower energy in the winter months will cause him to become more evasive of danger, while during more prosperous seasons his energy levels spike and the likelihood of standing his ground increases. Conflicts, however, are preferably avoided. The state of his antlers will also strongly influence his attitude.
Every autumn, he will go into a state of rut. This is the time of year when he is at his strongest, and determined to prevail, he becomes an impressive spectacle to behold. A true embodiment of nature at its most majestic.

Has a strong bias towards predatory looking characters, almost always branding them as a threat, sometimes even to a fault. He will always judge others on their scent and appearance, and if said characteristics bear enough resemblance with what he associates as predatory anatomy or mannerisms, then he will assume them to be a threat whether or not they actually are. He'll all too often refuse to see them as anything else. That being said, if a predator has enough anatomy associated with herbivores and the scent of such, he will overlook how dangerous they could potentially be. His reactions vary from retreating to attacking. He has also been known to attack young and vulnerable predatory looking creatures in order to eliminate potential future threats.
This way of mind is in no way driven by hate, but merely his will to survive. It is built entirely on self preservation.

For the most part, he is a passive hart, comfortable offering quiet company to those who seek it. He has few social expectations on others, provided it's species permitting. After the initial greeting and acceptance he'll likely settle to doing his own thing around the company he's in.

I'm gonna ask for some opinions here...
I've put a "*tw" on Red's updates, hover over it if you want.. I've been hesitant to reveal his ailment for a number of reasons. The main being that I understand it's an incredibly difficult thing to talk about and I'm scared of distressing people more than they normally would over IC events. I've been researching on the subject in hopes of portraying it alright, though I've yet to decide exactly where the illness has begun... And I still have a lot to learn and quickly since there's only so much I can justify hiding with his instinctive nature.

The thing is that I've decided years ago that The Red is destined to fall ill in this way - it's what took him in the alternate past timeline a few years back. Although I'm going to let him live and suffer this as naturally as I can, I do have plans on tying everything together in the very last moments. There'll be an artistic post for that.

Anyway, because of how sensitive the subject is, do you think the tw is enough? Or should I add a popup CSS on his bio to deter the more fragile users?
