Cygnus woke near the pond, took his morning drink, and prayed his morning prayer. He trumpeted his happiness for all to hear. However, as he descended the hill on which the marble statues perched, he was confronted by a doe that exhibited very strange behavior. She kept circling him and mooing, and this caused him to grow nervous. He questioned her, only to receive more of the behavior. After a short time the nervousness was too much for him and he went to hide inside the crying idol. The place was chosen because of its gentle noise, as running water has a calming effect on the stag. He didn't even mind the red stain the idol gave his pelt.

Anatomy

Face is very much like that of a sambar deer. Long face ending in a broad nose.

Front patch of nose in-between the nostrils is hard, like a beak. This patch continues down into the mouth and over the palette. Inner mouth is completely hard. Serrations like that of a swan's beak replace the teeth and lips on both top and bottom of the mouth. Lower palette is also hard. Tongue, however, is deer-like. Antlers are very small and not suitable for fighting. One would classify his rack as being 2-point with no brow tine. His neck is extremely long, which also does not lend to 'antler combat' as it is not strong when pushed from the top of the head. His neck and entire body are covered in feathers instead of fur. This makes him virtually weather-proof as long as he keeps up maintenance. Feathers are white. Cream antlers, mottled pink/black nose and marbled cream/black hooves are the only coloration on his body.

Total height is 2 meters, almost half of that being neck. Each wing is proportionate to 2x body length. Bone structure is built a lot like an Elk's in an attempt to balance out the neck. Legs are graceful and thin, body is lithe despite the bones. Bones are both strong and hollow (bird-like) to aid in flight ability. Antlers are solid bone, though are not large to avoid weighing the deer down. (more will go here as it is known)
