Appearance (Also view art section, reference needs to be completed)
Sammy has two appearances, one for the day, and one for the night. They are similar with a few major differences. The main difference one would notice is the fact that during the daylight his coarse fur is a rather bland grey, darker and rougher toward the spine, however in the darkness this fur glows a cyan colour. The fur (in both day and night) is accented by white: hooves, insides of ears and very, very fluffy tail (the fur here covers some of his underside, trailing out around mid-stomach.) and also, appear to glow in the dark. Nestled amongst green hair are two short, maroon antennae which are sensitive to air movements.
Extremely unlikely to ever be seen without the purple mask, a Tatenka as it is his culture to wear a mask for modesty and self-respect. However if one were ever to see Sammy without the mask, they would find a pale human-looking face, teenager-ish with black eyes and red pupils, which, while normal on his home planet, can be found unnerving elsewhere.

The forest was looking bleak today for one individual. The feline-like deer had spent most of the duration of the morning tucked away between the large roots of the great oak. A great frown stretching across his pale exposed face and settling there as a good pointer on his current mood. The rumble of the sky indicated that there was a great deal of rain heading their way, probably with a thunderstorm for kicks.
Harry hissed to himself that evolved into a long and weary grumble. His long, thin legs curled around his dark-hued body for a long period he hardly moved, before with a deep breath of exertion he untangled himself from his "nest" and stood up. Stretching and inhaling the damp and slightly cold air. In the forest there were few places where the rain wouldn't reach, yet already the noise behind him from the oak itself was growing as does ushered the fawns inside and stags took up residence to weather the brewing storm. It would only get worse with time and would become more about need than being polite. He'd never get a spot in there later.
So that left a few other places that the dark stag could check in, swishing his tiny nubby tail and plodding off towards the pond. It was only a quick drink and once finished he skirted immediately upwards towards the strange crying statue he'd seen before. For a moment he considered calling out to try and identify the four or so he recognized but the chances of that were slim. No one cared for him, he'd probably never receive an answer anyway (this of course, was all his negative and low-confidence attitude). Shrugging it off the teen pawed the earth and headed towards the blueberry bowl for a hunt. Even if he didn't catch anything perhaps stalking harmless forest critters would take his mind off the brewing storm and the spittle starting to descend upon his thin pelt.
It was time well wasted, chasing a rabbit through the long grasses, and then a pair of mice before he finally ended a squirrel. They weren't for eating though so rather wastefully he just sort of left it there, turning around and narrowing his eyes for more movement. Another rustle in the grasses. Harry slunk low to the ground, prowling as well he could with his deer-like form he couldn't see very well due to the grasses and instead relied on his furry large cat-like ears. Inhaling sharply he leapt out and ended up butting straight into another deer. Whether they had made the original rustling or just happened to be stood to close was debatable. The blow wouldn't have hurt but it certainly staggered the teen, who yelped continuously like a struck animal and backed up so quickly he fell over, backwards, and rolled down back into the bowl.
[[You can choose whether the deer he butted into was Sammy, or he finds him afterwards etc]]

[You're English too? So
When living in a rainforest for seventeen years, it becomes easy to spot the signs of an oncoming storm.
There's a kind of quiet that falls over a forest, and the very air itself leaves a metallic tang on the tongue. Sam, himself, always seemed to feel his hair raise, and - although now no longer bipedal - the effect was still apparent as the fur along his spine lifted away from the skin.
He was perching at the edge of the blue bowl, looking at the sky, trying to determine from behind his mask, by the state of the pewter-coloured clouds, just how long he had before the heavens opened.
The rolling growl of the sky didn't reassure him.
A sigh escaped from his lungs and he tensed himself for movement - when another body struck his side. Sam staggered, still unused to the cervine body he now inhabited, and fell to one knee. He heard the yelp, his head whipping around just in time to see the offender roll away, obviously having screwed up on the recoil.
He got to his hooves, a grunt in his throat, and peered across the tall grasses.
"Are you alright?" he called out cautiously to the anonymous culprit.

The slightly older male
The voice drifted down to him and all the darker pelted male could do was grunt at him, before shakily pulling his hooves under himself and standing up. Wobbling to and fro before spreading all four legs to create a supported stance, he very much seemed like a newborn fawn than an almost adult stag. That or his head injury must have been worse than it was to the uninformed eye.
The exposure was very minimal, Samiik's memories hadn't leaked completely through, so only one or two made it. Minor things, a small lie he told for example which in the broad scheme of things would be extremely unimportant. Harry snorted, cleared his throat and spat somewhere to the left before looking back up at the other male, who was probably still waiting for a response;
"I'm fine. I'm sorry I hit you brother I couldn't see through the grass."
Though he still stood with his legs spread widely apart for balance the ripples through his system had all but subsided, and he slowly started to try and organise his legs back into their usual spot, before slowly walking up the hill towards him;
"I didn't hurt you did I?"
And for once he was thankful he didn't have antlers.

"I'm alright," Sam replied,
He took in the other deers appearance, the slim build and dark fur. Something strange and stringy wrapped around his leg, leading to a collar of some kind around his neck. Sam quickly noted the lack of mask, and averted his eyes immediately - instead he carefully examined the large trees surrounding them , the grass beneath their feet and eventually, once running out of places to look as his eyes roamed anxiously, the dirt smudges on his white hooves.
Eventually, after the fast, erratic environmental analysis he turned his eyes back to the deer.
In hushed tones he asked: "I don't mean to offend but... why aren't you wearing a Tatenka?"
Sam quickly looked away again, almost mortified a the personal question. He shifted from one hoof the next, wobbling slightly on the cervine legs.
Harry nodded along as Sam
He wasn't stupid though, or blind, and his eyes narrowed in curiousity along with his eyebrows quirking like jumping furry caterpillars squaring up for a fight. Sam thought something was weird about him, and for a moment Harry's mind was washed with very negative comments about himself due to his incredibly low self esteem issues.
Thankfully he managed to ignore them long enough to listen to the smaller stags question, and this time one of his furry caterpillars dropped so only one brow was raised. Harry looked at his own hooves, then his rump, then his headphones. What the heck was a "Tatenka"?
Instead he decided to be witty;
" In the wash basket, I don't wear it on tuesdays " And then he smirked at his own joke but plodded a little closer to the other male to seem more on his level;
"Off to find a spot to weather the storm in? Oak's taken so we better hurry" and as if for effect, another loud rumble of thunder bellowed overhead in the foreboding sky, laden with rain that was still only managing a light spit.

In the wash basket? Tuesdays?
For a split second he considered questioning the darker pelted deer, before thinking about all the people he had known that refused to wear masks. He remembered the rumour that one had been a murderer. He wrote off the idea of questioning the other male with a slight, disbelieving shake of his head.
"Rain? Huh - oh right, yeah." he blinked, feeling a little dazed as the rumble of thunder the other deer had been referring to, "Where do you suggest?"
Sam was not familiar with this forest yet, having spent most of his time sleeping near the stream, apprehensive to explore. Up until the point at which it had been suggested to find shelter, Sam had planned to just last out the storm - lord knows he'd survived through enough in his 17 years.
Suggest? Hmmmm. They didn't
"Wanna snuggle wup wunder a twee bwuddy?" he joked with a smirk, and would have nudged at the other stags shoulder if it was not for his condition, keeping up a baby-like pronunciation to his words; "You can give me a widdle kwissy if you like."
And then he promptly dissolved into ripples of his own laughter before shaking his head in amusement; "Just kidding brother, want to squeeze under one of the flat rocks at the boulder ground? There's a spot that's usually taken but there's a few that aint."
And he turned, his tiny tail flagging up like a prancing kitty; "I'll even race you eh?"
Continuing to stare over his shoulder with a cheeky obnoxious little grin as he waited for the response. After all, picking at the other male, abet playfully, was how he kept his mind away from his own internal negativity.

Snuggle under a tree? What
Sammy nodded at the suggestions, "Sounds just fine to me."
It was a teeny, little white lie - as a creature of nocturnal habits, he had spent most of his time sleeping during the nearly endless days, only waking to drink and graze infrequently. Exploring hadn't really been on his list, so this... 'boulder ground' was something he'd never heard of.
"A race?" Eh... Was he ever one to give up on a challenge? Not really, but he was apprehensive of losing - it wasn't really in his nature to be a good loser. He didn't know where the finish line was, and he didn't know this deer, not really, and was always defensive about losing. A race would probably be a bad idea.
"I'm game if you are." the challenge was evident in his voice. Perhaps he could just... flag a little until he was sure where the end was? Yeah, definitely a bad idea.
"Yeah a race" Harry confirmed
"First to ontop of the biggest rock? Don't hit any other deer though." and then he waited approximately seven seconds before he darted to the left and broke out into a fast gallop north. His tiny little tail level with his back to act as a sort of rudder, try as it might.
At first he would have been fairly fast, built like a gazelle and expressing many feline traits in how he ran, but after a few moments he slowed down, glancing behind him to make sure that Sam was indeed following him and he hadn't been ditched.
In order to get a clear picture he had to slow down quite an amount from his original pace, but if he did indeed see the other male, he turned back to continue his mad dash to the playground, now just coming into sight.

Sam had no time to reply as
As soon as he began galloping, he noted with annoyance the speed of the darker male. He pushed as hard as he could, often drawing level, but never over taking. It was a sinking feeling, but something he figured he brush off, uh... fairly easily.
As the ground became more strewed with rocks, it became more difficult to run flat out, watch for general directions from the flickering tail ahead and avoid tripping over stones.
After a short while it became clear exactly where this 'boulder ground' was, and the largest rock was easy to pick out. Sam put on another burst of speed, really pushing, only focusing on the end goal-
"ARGH!" His legs went from beneath him, his left foreleg throbbing. He landed heavily on the damp floor, the moist, compressed earth providing a harder-than-if-dry-surface as a place to land.
Sam shakily rose to his feet. He looked down at the leg, carefully examining the hoof. He'll live, but his pride... Well. As he watched the darker male triumphantly hit the top of the rock - his pride would take a little time to recover.
Heey, sorry I didn't really
