His bio is neing redone. ;; Might put up his updates sometime. He actually isn't quite as young as in the above images, but is a teenager/adolescent now. (':
The grey doe looked upon the little one with wide, curious, red eyes. She blinked at the minuscule beast. "You are small... small and young," Hälla stated simply, her head tilted to the side. "Do you have a name, toothless-one?"
Blue eyes weren't quite open yet. The cub could only make out a blur of shapes and colors for now. Little paws kneaded at Halla, he rubbed his head against the doe's side, mewling softly; happily. Artemis rolled over on his back, flailing his paws playfully and kicking the air with tiny cloven hooves.
She stared down at the half-blind thing, surprised that she'd had the lacking of wit to assume he could talk. She didn't mind... it didn't take from his appeal to her. "You are small..." she repeated, touching the infant's forehead with her lips, pressing a small lick to him. Her red optics were wide with fascination as his claws kneaded against her white pelt. The doe smiled as he flailed about and she playfully nipped at his abdomen.
Artemis squirmed and let out a delighted squeal. He had a capability of speech that was yet to be developed, but the grey doe would have a good chance at starting the process of that development. At her nip his wiggling renewed, and the little lion gave what could only be described as an attempted roar. It didn't really resemble one, though. Playfully batted the air and snuggled closer, but soon withdrew slightly and returned to kneading.
His belly rumbled just loud enough to be audible, and he looked scared of it as if the sound that came from inside him was a monster that was going to hurt him. Artemis didn't have a mother when he was reborn into the forest, and he wasn't ready to eat meat yet. He whimpered softly and rolled back over, resting his head on his paws.
Her insides nearly melted at the squeal emitting from his jowls, the writhing of his small, tan, deer and lion body. She nosed him gently, smiling. Halla watched in delight as his claws prickled her flesh where he touched her, pleased that the cub seemed so keen to snuggle beside her. The grey doe's ears perked at the noise that soon revered from his insides and she blinked in surprise. He was a lion. She was a deer. What could she possibly give him that would satiate a carnivorous appetite?--and he was so young! She hadn't anything that could fend off hunger for a youngster... Her brow creased in concern. "I don't know how to fix that, little lion..."
Unfortunate for the little lion, he couldn't tell her that he needed milk. That in the moments after his arrival, he was utterly alone. No mother. No father. And without his mother he would starve. He just whined softly, instinctively his eyes trying to express what he couldn't with words. He isn't a meat eater yet.
I must not have completely understood, I'll change it. He doesn't actually know his name, its more for me than for him, and it doesn't matter really because he doesn't talk yet.
The doe stepped up beside the little cub, her sculpted facials creasing into a frown. Her ears flattened against her white skull. "Little Lion," Hälla murmured, nudging him with the black, velvet warmth of her nose. "You are all alone... why? But you can't answer... mmm..." Brow furrowed, she curled her white body around the infant.
Tawny-furred form lay limp, unresponsive. Everything that had happened before played in his vision, over and over. He barely acknowledged Halla, gave a weak mew and curled up into a tiny ball, wishing she would lay near him but not knowing how to ask.
The doe allowed her red optics to bare into the tan flesh of the cub. Her poor Little Lion. Sighing, she stepped nearer to his curled form, allowing her warmth to cocoon him where he lay. She set her head down on the ground beside his. "It's alright, Little Lion," Hälla soothed to the mewling babe. "It's alright.
Her soothing was not wasted on the cub. He shivered and withdrew further, closer to her. His shaking continued, his stomach growling again like it always seemed to be. He didn't know how to tell her what he needed, so he didn't try.
please, don't mind me. >->

Tiny hooves could be heard tapping over the earth of the forest floor, slowly coming to a stop. A couple of butterflies fluttered from over a bush and a tiny fawn followed suit. Orange and curious, her wide eyes were locked on the tiny fliers. They went high into a tree and disappeared in the sunlight, " . . . awwwwww" Voice soft and sweet, and very disappointed seeing them go. Tiny dreads fell back as her face was lifted high. It was clear the tiny fawn was sad to see them go. She didn't notice that she was pretty much lost now. Alone. Or, so she thought?
