† Feeds off of sunlight. Soaks in the pond for water.
† Deer can feed off of pelt. It doesn't mind. Though the player needs to keep in mind to not allow their deer to crop its pelt too short.
† Looks like: a mule deer in a gilly suit. Body is covered in brown and different tones of green grasses. Long in summer, fall and winter, short in spring.
† A bird's nest, made by Pidge, is on its head. It doesn't seem to mind its hat.
† Doesn't appear to have eyes.
† Doesn't make a sound other than a gurgle. It's breathing can be heard. Gurgles only when happy or comfortable. Cannot speak. So in game it cannot interact back, but it can be told what to do. Obedient and patient.
† Loves company. Will follow someone around or situate itself a little ways from a group of deer. Extremely curious. Recognizes deer who've allowed it to sit with them before. May be considered friendships.
† Sluggish; flounders in snow and will float in deep water, though cannot swim. Can be encouraged to trot, but otherwise will walk or sit. Doesn't have much strength, can be bogged down by its own "fur", especially if it catches itself in the rain. In that case it'll just lay there.
† Does not fight and cannot fight back. If attacked it will simply take it. It can become wounded, it can feel pain, but it cannot do anything about it. Body under pelt appears to be dirt.
† It can die if it gets overheated, not enough sun, too much water or loses too much of the grasses covering it. If wounded it can slowly heal.
The Seasons
‡ Spring: Old "fur" falls out, new grasses grow. Flowers and seeds can be sprinkled on the pelt to grow as well. This would have to be done by other players. Think of it as a walking flower garden. It has more energy in spring. More apt to run around.
‡ Summer: Grasses grow to their full length and are mostly tones of green, though quickly turn brown and gold.
‡ Fall: Coat remains the same, though seems to be more of a brown tone.
‡ Winter: Coat remains the same length, though the grasses are more dead. Can become fodder for deer if the winter has enough sun.
And Orin: a gilly suit monster? Lol. I love it. Though it can be sort of creepy to look over your shoulder and see a heavy breathing walking grass monster. But...it's a nice gurgling grass monster.
Haha...that's how she felt but now seeing it's harmless she's warming up to it. Might even keep it as a sort of pet and protect it from others eating it, lol.
A small white and brown bird like creature fluttered down. Her hooves and claws landing on a soft material that seemed to differ from the ground around her. She cocked her head to one side and cooed softly. What was this strange ground. Her head bobbed lightly as she stepped across it, occasionally poking at the odd grass trying to figure it out. Pidge just could not wrap her small mind around it though she continued to investigate not aware of what it truly was.

Rikka: I thought so too. It's a lot different from other characters and that's exactly what I like about it. It's restricting, but in being so it's so much more relaxing, in a sense.
Mag: No way! That's ironic, but great minds think alike, I suppose? I don't know what really brought this character to me, to be honest. It was one of those random tangents that started out as a "Oh wouldnm't that be cool if there was a character that was the forest" and my brain didn't stop. So I got excited and wrote it down. Lol. It was either that or "What would a deer look like in a gilly suit? Oh wait, completely awesome!"
Orin:
It rested in another one of those warm spots, a place where the sun peeked through the branches in the canopy overhead. It was as wonderful as it was a trap. It was too easy to doze. Too easy to sleep there and let the time fly by. The creature didn't allow itself to sleep too long, there was some survival instinct left in its confusing, spiraling mind. It's ears, nothing more than tufts of grass that pivoted one way or the other, shook toward the sound of wings slapping the air. A butterfly? No...too loud. Had to be a bird, or one of those hybrids. The fluttering stopped abruptly, something putting pressure against its spine. What...? The creature shifted its weight, trying to see what it was.
Pidge picked at the grass like parts on the back of the deer. It tasted like grass but something was off. Suddenly it lifted it's "head" and Pidge jumped off with a squeak and backed off a little bit. Her head twisted in confusion. Was this thing safe?

The creature stumbled forward at the other's surprised squeak, wheeling around when it recovered to stare at it. It was a bird deer of some sort, small but it had wings. The grass deer didn't know what to think of it. It took a couple of steps forward, curious.
She cooed lightly and took one step back. What an odd being this was. A moving hill!!! Perhaps she could make a nest on it's head if it was safe enough to. She sniffed the air. No difference, it even smelled like earth. She cooed lightly and flapped her wings. It didn't seem dangerous and her curiosity was getting the better of her.

omg the visual of a nest on her head with Pidge is just...omg too cute

Haha, that'd be adorable. Go ahead if you want. It's shaped by the community, so if Pidgy wants to make a nest on its head, then there's nothing stopping her from making a nest on its head. I don't mind and it'll tolerate anything- though as long as she's not making an eagle nest or something , it'll squish the gurgling grass creature! The only time I care is if it's killed...then I'll be sad until it'll regenerate itself.
It sensed the excitement, though it was underlined by curiosity. Good, it was feeling the same. The creature took a few more steps before allowing its legs to fold under it, watching the little bird doe creature all the while. Now it was somewhat closer, inspecting her with an interest. It was different from the others it had come to know. For one thing it was small, for another it was winged!
This is going to sound silly, but I am honored that you like her. Your comment just made me smile. Thank you for taking a moment to acknowledge her, we both appreciate your kindness.

Ah a fun character. Haha.
And haha, I bet Calida wouldn't know what to do with it. I don't blame her. If I saw it, I'd be somewhere between unnerved and confused.

I also have a wild creature,
Whoa, I thought I answered
A free creature? What do you mean, like something that isn't tied to the forest?
Again so sorry! I have a habit of reading stuff, answering in my head and then not actually typing something down.
Clicky. Something like that.
No problem! Really, it's totally fine. xD
